What an absolute delight this property was. My partner and our party will definitely be saying again! Thank you for a wonderful and seamless experience!
The unit was very clean and lovely. It's well maintained and very comfortable. This was our fourth year staying at Molino de Aqua and we think it is the ideal location.
It is always a pleasure to stay at Molino de Agua. The location is perfect. This was our fourth year vacationing there. This property was as nice as any there. Aside from a mix up with the property manager, everything was excellent
Ted's place is amazing and has everything you could possibly imagine needing. Sparkling clean, comfy beds and the best pool in PVR. He even arranged for two lovely ladies to come in and cook us dinner. Had the best time.
What a great condo in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. My family was very comfortable here. The place was very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. This unit is at the back of the building and very quiet and private. The grounds and pool at this condo are stunning and the (rocky) beach is right outside the gate.
We are frequent travelers to Puerto Vallarta and usually stay at Molina de Agua because it is so close to everything. From the location, view, property, communication with owner - everything was amazing. The condo was very accommodating to our group and the view is spectacular. The owner was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We will definitely be back to this spot.
The Best Location for Cooking Restaurants and beach!
There is a bakery across the street, fish shop two blocks away meat store 3 blocks away- too bad Rizo's grocery closed but there are still lots of smallgrocers in the immediate area-- this is a dream place for 4 food loving, wine swilling blender running foodies --to chill out a linger on the patio after dinner There is a gourmet kitchen and fabulous outdoor eating area. The owner also gave us the name of a local woman who shopped and cooked for us.
The linens are top notch and everything is luxury. The maid slipped in and cleaned everything without us even knowing. Loved the safety aspects as well-before going I was a little iffy on Mexico and secure guraded and gated entrance and the security patrols give a sense of calm although after two days you realize what a beuatiful friendly safe place PV still is and that maybe the whole security was not that important. This is a truly beautiful place. Really a amazing sense of space with long hallways to the sleeping area so you can slip away for a nap while the others continue their evening .
We just returned from a 10 day stay in Ted's unit. We loved the complex, location, and the unit was as described and pictured. We even loved watching the iguana's from our balcony. We did have some loud karaoke from across the river a couple of nights, but we just closed the windows in the bedrooms and turned on the air conditioning, and everything was fine. We did have a couple of maintenance issues while we were there (the sink pipe was broke and the fan in the freezer came loose and was making loud noises) but we contacted the property manager and he was able to get somebody to repair them the next day and the property manager stayed at the unit the whole time the repairman was there. The location was perfect, we were close to many restaurants, shops, and lots of entertainment on the boardwalk and beach. The staff at the complex was very friendly and helpful in finding anything you needed, calling cabs, and suggesting restaurants and sights to see. The Puerta Vallarta Co. zip line is fantastic!
I only have one negative comment and that is the beds were very uncomfortable. The mattresses were really soft and had no support, other than slats, so they sagged really bad (and I only way 100lbs). I would strongly recommend that the mattresses be changed and upgraded to add support. My 30 year old son-in-law resorted to taking bedding and sleeping on the tile floor in the bedroom.
Overall, I would love to stay in the unit again, but I would love to hear that the beds have had the mattresses replaced or something done for support and comfort so that we could count on a good nights sleep.
Three couples in our family just returned from the best two weeks ever in PV! I can not begin to tell you how much better this accommodation is than anything any of us have ever stayed in (and we are a well-travelled group). We had friends come in for dinner who have rented for over 10 years in that area and all agreed it was far superior to all other places.
The spaciousness, the quiet, the coolness (we did not have to turn on the a/c even once),
the art work, the quality of furnishings, and the perfectly-stocked kitchen, all combined to make a flawless rental.
The management staff were extremely personable, spoke excellent English, and were very helpful. The maid service was the best I have seen in my last few years at any condo.
Not all units in this building have the great windows that this one does, so the natural light throughout the place is wonderful.
One of the best features of the property is the location. You are steps from the beach and in the heart of old town which has all the best restaurants, the art galleries, the musical events, the theatre, the markets, etc., etc.. No need for cars or taxis....you are at the most a ten-minute walk from everything and anything.
We cooked a lot. There is a set of Mexican recipe books in the cabinet that I would have loved to take home! Between the fresh seafood market two blocks away, a fresh fruit and veggie market about the same distance, and a wine store not much further, we had some amazing dinners!
Another "best" for this condo is the peace and quiet. Every place we have ever stayed in PV has had either all-night music blaring, dogs barking, roosters crowing from 4 a.m. on, or a combination of all three. In the entire two weeks, we had one night of loud music from across the bridge. It was over by 11, and really not even too noticeable if we closed the sliding glass doors to the outdoor living area. All the good nights of rest added a lot to a good holiday!
I am sure that anyone who stays at this place will always and forever try to book it first on any return visit to PV! We have already done it for next year.
Thanks so much Ted.
Multi generational family holiday.Great location. Clean, comfortable living environment, wonderful communication with property manager and owner. I would come back.
This is the best of the best in PV! Well appointed condo in an exclusive gated complex right on the beach. Couldn't be happier with our experience. Great communication and service throughout our stay. Highly recommend!
This property is amazing, you have all you need around at walking distance. Ted has been a great owner, who keeps the communication very closely and able to solve any problem. It's the second time for me on this unit and the fifth on Molino de Agua and always have been great. The property manager solved some issues after being reported by us. EXCELLENT111
The location and property is the best! Clean, right amongst the boardwalk and sights, great location for restaurants, and the perfect spot for authentic experience. We loved it!
The location cannot be beat! Walking distance to the Malecon, the beach, restaurants and town. The condominium building, gardens and pool was amazing! The apartment looks like something out of a magazine. We especially enjoyed the large patio with plenty of seating and table for six. The security staff always greeted us with a big smile! And Eduardo, our PVR rep was there for us every step of the way up to the end! He stepped in to find a very important valuable item that we left in the condo after checking out and went all the way to the airport to give it to us! Words cannot describe how grateful we are.
We would love to rent this property again. The unit was everything we were wanting, very nice and quiet setting also. The grounds are beautiful with a nice sized pool. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. With the COVID testing requirements, we were able to have it done on site . It may cost a little more but the convince was worth it.
Excellent property right on the Malecon. For the summer the pool is probably the best in Puerto Vallarta. The condo was quiet and easy to get to. Highly recommended
Ted and Bruce have had a longtime love affair with Mexico going back 30 years when they had their first holiday together travelling around the country. Ted's training as an architect haslead to a real passion for the historic architecture of Mexico, especially the builidngs of the 17th and 18th century. Bruce's passion is cooking and there is a rich tradtion of regional cooking in Mexico which he has been exploring for years. Ted learnt spanish in university which allowed them access to many aspects of the country which the average tourist might miss. They are both Canadians from small towns in Canada and appreciate the value of being part of a community. They have found the town of Puerto Vallarta to be especially welcoming and are making friends among both Mexicans and the large ex pat community. Their goal is to retire in Mexico.
We fell in love with this property after a friend of ours bought in the building in 2009. Our friiend had lived in San Miguel Allende for years and had built a luxurious bed and breakfast which he operated with his partner. Health problems forced our friend into a more relaxed lifestyle in Puerto Vallarta where he discovered a very welcoming community that had most of the modern conveniences of home along with the interesting contrast of cultures that one finds throughout Mexico. The convenient airline connections to Canada, the top notch health services and the close proximity to the dynamic city of Guadalajara made Puerto Vallarta an excellent mix of amenities and culture. We discovered this for ourselves and decided that our reitrement would be spent here.
When we first bought in Mexico we did have friends who doubted the wisdom of this choice. We were told that perhaps Palm Springs of Hawaii would be a safer investment. However we felt that we would be bored living in places that were essentially american suburbia. Our experiences living and travelling in Mexico gave us the knowledge that the country was not dangerous as it is protrayed in the Canadian and American media. We wanted to be able to walk to the local market and buy fruits and vegetable that we had never tried before and test new recipies for traditional Mexican dishes that are disappearing even among the locals as the country is more and more influenced by it's northern neighbours. Our condo is unique in that it offers to us both the traditional and the modern. Within the grounds we have all the amenties of home such as drinkable tap water, and amazing swimming pool, cool ocean breezes and a secure home that is hidden away from the sometimes hectic street life of the town. We can also step out the door and be into a dynamic and culturally interesting place that is a crossroads for people from all over the world. For us our Puerto Vallarta home offers the best of both worlds.
