Riverside retreat with hot tub on the Huron River! 10 miles to UofM!
Welcome to RoJo's Riverside Retreat, where there are so many things for you to do! The home has two bedrooms, with a queen size bed in each. There is one bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The living room has a gas fireplace to keep you warm and cozy.
We are renting out the upper level of our house/duplex. We live in the lower unit. Each unit has private, separate entry. The patio overlooks the beautiful Huron River in Dexter. The house is located just half a block to the historic Dexter Cider Mill(seasonal). It is just a short walk (1/4 mile) to downtown Dexter for coffee, brew pubs, restaurants, and shops. The Encore Theater is wonderful venue for musical theater lovers to take in a show. The house is just 8.5 miles from the University of Michigan Stadium.
Explore the beautiful Huron River, bring your canoe, kayak, paddle board, or tube. Skips Livery is also available to provide you with a relaxing day on the river. Enjoy a bonfire, and take in the spectacular view! The Border to Border (B2B) Trail is just a short walk or bike ride away.
While you're enjoying the large patio soaking in the view and sunshine, there is a hot tub for you to melt your stress away.
Absolutely Excellent! Host Plans for guests every need! Extra of everything! Outdoor space on the River is Divine. Hot Tub is sparkling clean! Beyond Fabulous and Wonderful get away! This is truly a 5 Star Place!!
We loved our stay! Owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. Easy check in/check out process. Great location to walk downtown or go to Ann Arbor. Loved the MidMod house and view of the river. You wonât be disappointed!
We couldnât have been more pleased with our stay! Spectacular view, every comfort provided, little touches that made us feel like special guests. Joanne was warm and welcoming and quick to answer a question or offer a helpful resource. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, the gas fireplace, bird watching, and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. The house is just a quick walk to downtown Dexter but the riverside location made it feel like weâre out in the woods. Couldnât ask for anything more - weâll definitely be back!
Charming house with all the amenities of home. Beautiful view of the Huron river every morning with my coffee. Short walk to restaurants and coffee shops.
Great host who was easy to communicate with during our stay.
My family of 4 stayed at the super cute and exceptionally clean property for 8 nights while we explored Dexter/Ann Arbor/Chelsea for a home scouting trip (due to work relo). The hostess, Joanne, literally has thought of every possible creature comfort a guest could need and has it waiting for you:- Bonfires on the back patio- Hot tub- Soaking in the river with tubes & shade umbrellas- Sâmore kit (Iâm sorry my kids ate the chocolate bars after they discovered the kit location!) - Snacks galore- Everything you could possibly need to cook; well-stocked kitchen. The living quarters are immaculate with a phenomenal river view, and the apartment is a pristine example of mid-century life. The a/c was great as the week we were there was unusually hot and humid. Access to the river is easy from the back patio but best to supervise children. River depth is wadeable but the flow during our visit was swift and water level 2ft or so higher than normal due to recent heavy rains. Saw lots of wildlife! Downtown Dexter is easily walkable and pleasant. Ann Arbor is just a 12-15 min drive, same with Chelsea in the opposite direction. My youngest attended a couple of horse shows in Waterloo while we were there, too, just 25 min away.Joanneâs communication is top notch - she goes above and beyond to ensure you make the most of your stay at RoJoâs riverside retreat. We highly recommend - very much a 5-star experience for families with tween/teens. Thank you, Joanne!
It was sparkling clean. The kitchen was better equipped than my own. The linens and beds were all first-class. The house had soft water which was a wonderful treat. The owner was very accessible and responsive to questions and requests. The view of the Huron River from the kitchen and living room is spectacular. We will definitely stay there again!!
I have been a Dexter resident for 20 years. I'm active with several local community groups, including the parks and recreation committee. I am a volunteer at the Huron River Watershed and at Mikey and Me dog rescue. In my free time I enjoy staying active by hiking, camping and paddling with my husband Ron and dog Chase.
