Why a holiday with horses is good. The Institute of the Heart Math conducted a study on the two-way healing of the heart between horse and human and electromagnetic fields research. The study compared the human's electromagnetic field with a horse's, which is five times more prominent, allowing us and the horses to feel each other from a distance. The research described the horse's heart pattern, which is called a coherent heart rate pattern, is associated with feelings of joy, happiness and low stress. Because horses have this type of heart rhythm when we're close to them, they can help us feel calmer, more relaxed, and joyful within that electromagnetic field.The study of the coherent heart pattern or HRV can determine the wellbeing and consistency of emotional stress and your state of calmness and positive emotion. This is why when you're around horses you often start to get a sense of well-being and a sense of peace. Those neurotransmitters that act as pain suppressors also decreased stress levels and decreased feelings of anger and hostility, tension and anxiety, better social working, and things like greater feelings of empowerment, confidence, patience, and self-efficacy.
