Absolutely wonderful

The apartment was exactly as described and shown in pictures. We were greeted at the apartment with a lovely bottle of Rose'. We had one little hiccup with the wifi and Eva quickly came by to fix it. Quick response to all questions and concerns. Centrally located. Loved our stay and will absolutely recommend to family and friends. Thank you :)

Lovely Place to Stay in Budapest

This apartment is even more elegant than the pictures depict. It’s clean and large. There is plenty of storage space, and the WiFi works well. The washer/dryer combo worked great. We figured out how to ride public transportation with Apple maps & that took us everywhere we wanted to go. (FYI- if you are over 65, it’s free!!). Of course walking is also an option as you see so much. Communication with the property manager was excellent with timely communication & detailed check-in instructions. Kate greeted us right on time & was so friendly & helpful. We were able to store our luggage in the apartment while she finished up with cleaning.

Great location!

The location of this beautiful Budapest apartment can just not be beat! When we arrived there was some confusion about getting into the property because my VRBO app was not working and we had just landed after a long haul flight with our kids. So that was entirely our fault. Communication was fast and check in was resolved immediately. We stayed for more than a week and needed some help with the washer / dryer. But again the caretakers were quick to help us. The location is amazing… near St Stephens with a bus stop literally right out the front door. Great restaurants, cafes, shopping, and parks very near! Thank you for a great experience!

Review

The check in was extremely stressful. There was no one there to meet us, and everyone we called did not answer their phones. After an out of standing in the lobby we reached Kate. She arrived about 45 minutes later and it was obvious that she had no information on our reservation. The apartment had not been cleaned and we had to leave while Kate cleaned the apartment. She was in such a hurry that she didn’t leave any coffee. Once everything was settled we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was lovely and in a great location.

AC is not sufficient

The apartment is clean and in a nice neighborhood. The only real problem, but it is significant, is the AC. It barely works and made for 2 very uncomfortable nights. The windows don’t open to offer relief either. We spoke to the property manager who said she wasn’t aware of any complaints (despite it being mentioned in other reviews) but told me to contact the local person. I did so that evening. I did not hear anything until the next day at which time she said she’d arrange someone to look at it and let me know when that could be arranged. Heard nothing from her again until she was asking what time we were checking out. If the AC worked, the place would be great.

Perfect in every way

We had the most wonderful stay in this apartment. It is well located across from the Basilica, hop on hop off busses, behind the Basilica is a walking street with a myriad of wonderful restaurants Change booths are everywhere and one gets more for your $ if you purchase in Hungarian $. The Jewish quarter is close by and all the bridges. Take time to just meander.Kate who manages the apartment is so lovely and helpful. Next door to the left of the building is an "everything" store where one can purchase little bits..Across. from the building down the street from the bank are drugstores, ABC grocery, Prima grocery and several breakfast and coffee stops..keep walking to the river as this is also a very lovely area. The Parliament is a must as well as the walking street that runs through the town. Wonderful art galleries .. Eat fusion it is a fun mix..The central market is a wonderful meander. We took the boat at night to see all the buildings lit up which was also a treat. Thank you Kate. , Daniella and Jacqueline for a perfect sejour.. A la prochaine....THANK YOU THANK YOU. Very romantic getaway. and we learned so much...!!!

The unit was very nicely decorated and as described in the listing. The kitchen was well-stocked. The combo washer/dryer was a big plus! Internet worked well. Unit was clean. Location was excellent and it was easy to access the apartment. The biggest negative was that we were FREEZING! The night time temperatures were in the low 40'sF. The radiators did not work, the entire building was not heated, the windows leaked a lot of cold air, and the two wall units that had a heat setting did not put out any actual heat. This would not be a problem for warm weather stays but it was a big problem for us. In addition, the unit was in need of some basic maintenance with multiple loose fixtures, burnt-out lightbulbs, old pillows, etc.

Lovely apartment in great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was lovely and perfect for the two of us. Several small grocery stores near by so you can fix meals if you like. Everything worked as described in listing. Loved the location. Easy to get around. If you are 65 or older, public transportation is free to use, making it easy to get to most places you would like to visit. Lots of restaurant within walking distance to enjoy.

Location is perfect, 3-minute walk to Deak Ferenc metro and St Stephen's Basilica. Loved the ceiling heights. Kitchen was well-stocked. Kate the greeter was great. Would definitely stay again.

Great location. Apartment is nice and clean. Property manager communicates well. Only suggestion is we had to buy toilet paper and paper towels. Everyone around including the neighborhood was very nice and friendly. Thank you and we loved Budapest !

Budapest review

Nice apartment in very good location in Budapest. A metro stop is literally across the street. St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a 3 minute walk and lots nice of shops, restaurants, etc., are just a few minutes away. Easy walk to the Danube. Overall, a great alternative to a hotel in Budapest that provides much more room, a kitchen, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful apartment in ideal location

Stately, bright and nicely decorated apartment in an ideal location. Very comfortable beds and nicely furnished. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. Apartment is located in a building that fronts a major street, but the actual apartment is located down a few winding hallways and front a fairly quiet side street. This unit is ideal for one or two couples, or a group of friends. One bedroom features a king size bed. A separate room has a queen size pullout bed, and the livingroom has a sofa bed. A variety of restaurants and grocery stores are within a few minutes of walking. The Arany Janos metro station (M3 line) is immediately across the street, and only one stop from the train station. The M3 line also conveniently connects to the other Metro lines. You can but single tickets or 24, 48 and 72 hour passes, or group tickets from the machine outside Arany Janos. FYI , not all stations had machines. This was a perfect apartment for our three-day visit to Budapest. The location was 10/10. Excellent service and communication. Can highly recommend
