This location was ideal for our trip to visit family. The home is clean, spacious, and conveniently located in Pine Point. I donât always need such a large space when I travel, but this trip was for a family reunion and the house turned out to be perfect.
We enjoyed our stay in this charming duplex. It was a short walk to the beach. The neighbors were very friendly. Sheila was very easy to work with. She promptly answered our questions. The house was well stocked with equipment . There was plenty to do in the area in case of rainy days when it wasnât beach weather. We had a great stay!
Very accommodating for 10 guests with its 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a large dining table. We love the neighbourhood, as we are a very short walk to the beach. Cooking all the bunch of us together was fun because the kitchen is pretty spacious and has many pots and pans and dishes... Once it was time to clean up, we enjoyed the dishwasher and the large sink. There is no doubt that we will be looking forward to coming back here on our next vacation in Pine Point. The host has been very good to us, allowing us to check-in earlier and checking-out at noon.
I haven't used this line before, but have seen it used: This is a property that is hard to rate so highly because I want to be sure to have a chance to book it again. All in all, it had everything we could have asked for. Lots of space inside and out gave our family of nine (and sometimes ten) the room we needed to be comfortable and have fun. The kitchen was well stocked and the living and dining rooms were nicely furnished. I slept in the downstairs bedroom and always got a good night's sleep. I heard no complaints from my family about discomfort.
The porches and outsides areas were beautiful. Incredible roses were growing in the front yard, and the back yard was so spacious and lovely with hedges and provided a buffer from the road and neighboring properties. The outdoor show was a godsend. We walked to the beach at least twice a day and were very happy to be able to shower the sand-covered kids each time we returned from the beach. They loved the outdoor shower and we loved the ability to keep the house virtually sand free.
Bottom line: Sheila has a great property and works hard to keep it in top condition. She clearly cares about making her guests comfortable and carefree!
We loved our stay at Pine Point. I rented with my three kids (7,12 and 14) plus a friend and her son (13). It was an easy walk to the beach which was also lovely. I brought our wagon which was super helpful. The kitchen was well stocked, lots of beach chairs and the house was very comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing in the yard as well. The house has a rental apartment that is a part of the house but we did not hear the other renters at all. We did connect with them outdoors and they were friendly! We explored the area and went to Higgins Beach for bigger waves. It was closely and a beautiful spot (go at low tide). We didn't spend time at Old Orchard Beach but lots of entertainment happening there. I did discover a super cute shop call Beachology and the kids found the biggest candy shot ever. For ice cream a friend suggested Martel's. There's mini golf there too but we didn't play. It was a really wonderful stay, cute house. The weather wasn't too hot while I was there. The last day was a bit warmer. I ended up purchasing a small table fan. I mentioned to Sheila that and she seemed very open to getting a few small fans to have if needed. I would 100% stay here again.
Three friends and I enjoyed our stay at this property for a long girls' weekend. The house was spotless, comfortable and very well stocked. It's also in a great location -- easy walk to the beach and to the salt marsh and in a cute, quiet neighborhood. Within minutes of being there, we all wanted to move in! Sheila, the owner, couldn't have been nicer to deal with. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others.
We liked the area where we were although not too many restaurants. We cooked in a couple nights and used the great BBQ. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of lighting.
This property welcomes you from the moment you pull in the driveway. The lawn is well tended with beautiful rose and peony gardens. Inside, it is clean and comfortable. It has the charm of a classic New England home, while the kitchen and bathrooms are tastefully updated. There is lots of room to spread out. The screened in back porch is cozy and overlooks a small but very functional backyard. Rose bushes line the side of the house providing a buffer between the backyard and the road, and there is a mature cedar hedge lining the back side of the house for privacy. Although the house is a duplex, we didnât hear the next-door neighbors once. There is a beautiful beach just two blocks away. The one negative is that our last night there, a family arrived across the street and was playing outside loudly until late into the night. Overall though, it was very homey and we canât wait to go back!
Many thanks Sheila for the wonderful stay. We had great weather and we all had a fabulous time in Pine Point, Portland and the surrounding areas. Everything about your home was absolutely beautiful and we hope to stay with you again for our future vacations to Maine!
My family and I could not have been more delighted with this home. It is decorated impeccably but comfortably. The kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of cooking implements. The bonus for our family was the first-floor master bedroom with a king AND twin bed. My older parents were so happy not to have to climb any stairs. However, the best room in the whole house is the screened-in porch off the dining room. We lived in that room. Perfect for reading, crocheting, and napping, especially with the guys watching sports and playing video games with the kids in the living room each evening. It is a peaceful retreat. Overall, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms roomy, and the washer and dryer convenient. It is a short walk to the beautiful beach and there are some lovely peek-a-boo views of the marsh from the backyard. We enjoyed nightly sunsets over dinner. Although we brought our own, there are a few beach chairs for use in the backyard, and I recommend that you bring bath/beach/and kitchen towels for your use since there are no towels provided at the house. What a wonderful place to spend a week rejuvenating the spirit! We will be back next year for sure.
Clean, beautiful property. All rooms worked well for our 3 generation family vacation. Did not realize there was a second unit on the other side, but it didnât matter, didnât hear/ know they were there.
This home was just as it appeared on the Homeaway site. It was charmingly decorated with comfortable beds and everything we needed for cooking and other aspects of our stay. Great location near the beach and highway to Portland. Glad we found it.
Glad we picked this property for our family reunion. Short walk to a great sandy beach and excellent seafood restaurants. 20 minute drive to Portland and all it has to offer. The boiler had failed before arrival but was in the process of being replaced which meant no hot water for a day but owner kept us informed and everything worked out fine. She was also very responsive to anything we needed as she is only 5 minutes away. All in all, a great week.
The house was great for a large group, there were numerous areas to just sit and relax. All 9 of us spent a lot of our time enjoying the screened in porch. Plus, the kitchen was well stocked too! It is a great location, easy access to the beach and close to restaurants and ice cream. We look forward to maiking it an annual place to go!
