Beautiful multi-level country home close to the towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City.
An hour from Truckee and an hour and 20 minutes from lake Tahoe.
Come and enjoy a relaxing, comfortable retreat. Great for family gatherings, birthdays, girls weekend, yoga retreat, youth retreat...
There are two master bedrooms with queen beds, two rooms with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, and two rooms with a queen bed.
The great room is 24x32 ft. There is room for kids to play, enjoy a movie, play ping pong, play games on the game table or do puzzles, etc.
The year-round creek is very peaceful and inviting. There are apples in the fall, and room to let your kids run and play.
The kitchen is well stocked and we provide Caroline's coffee (a local coffee shop) both special blend and decaffeinated.

Christmas Visit

The property was beautiful and our hosts were so welcoming! We had an incredible trip and are looking forward to returning. The property was exactly as advertised - we had so much available to us to do, but it was the personal touches that really put it over the top for us. We loved every minute of our stay!

Perfect for large families and dogs welcome.

Our second trip as this has become a “go to” for our family reunions. Very well appointed, good location, and owner who is on top of everything and really cares. If your travels take you to Gold Country, and you are a large group, I would highly recommend.

Great, versatile property

Being a Nevada County who rented this house with some friends for our annual getaway, this was perfect. Lots of rooms, great hangout spaces and even some disc golf accessories. Solid location, close to downtown GV and NC.

Perfect Retreat House

What a great place for a group retreat. Plenty of room with lots of open space. The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed. And there were lots of special extras.

Hot Weekend

The layout of this house is unique and accommodated all ages with plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms for our family of 12. We went on the hottest weekend of the year and there were issues with cooling the house. The largest room has no air conditioning only a portable unit which just could not cool such a large room. Would we stay there again? Yes, just not on a hot weekend!*One unique plus was direct communication with the owner.

Very comfortable

We have been renting this home for work purposes when we have a larger crew. There's plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The home is clean and comfortable.

A wonderful stay

It’s a beautiful house in a peaceful neighborhood surrounded by tall trees and a tiny little creek with rushing water. The house was very clean and the beds were super comfortable to sleep on. It was a home away from home for ages ranging from teens to grandparents. Cheryl was easy to communicate with and accommodated all our request promptly.

Birthday weekend with family and friends

Our family and friends stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday and enjoy the nearby lake. The house is incredible and was spacious for 7 adults, 4 teens and 1 five year old. It was a short drive to groceries (Safeway or SPD), shopping in Nevada City and swimming fun at Scott Flats Lake. Cheryl is a gracious and generous host who communicated with us quickly if we had questions about anything. This home had everything we needed and was a wonderful stay!

Wonderful experience

We felt very welcome. We were greeted with freshly baked cookies. The house was stocked with supplies, games, a ping pong table, books and many more. The interior was tastefully designed. Our hosts had labled kitchen drawers and cabinets, so we did not have to spend time finding things.Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Fall fuel mitigation work

Property was nice, clean and plenty of room. We reserved this property for a crew working to reduce fire hazard in the area and everyone was able to have their own space while we also had plenty of room in the kitchen and living area of the home.

Multi level & stairs not listed. Master bedroom next to kitchen, w/o air conditioning, too hot to occupy. It was 100• weekend. Spiders were in the downstairs bedrooms. Bathrooms had very small showers.

10 Stars! Perfect in Every Way!!

Our family of 12 stayed at this beautiful home to celebrate Christmas together. This multi-level home was equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We arrived to find a beautiful Christmas tree and Christmas lights waiting for us. The gourmet kitchen is amazing with every cupboard labeled so that we could find and put away every kitchen tool we could possibly need. The children enjoyed the ping pong table and other games. The whole family enjoyed a cozy movie night on the big sofa. The skiers loved Sugar Bowl about an hour away. Even Sparky the dog felt welcomed with a cozy bed and dishes waiting for him by the fire.

Great spacious property

The property is very spacious, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Kitchen is wellequipped. Game room is also fun for kids. Host is very responsive. The extra room by the basement can have additional carpet and heating during winters. We had a fun stay!

A great place for a family stay

Family get together

We had a great time at our family reunion. We had kids from age 6 to great grandpa who was 96. The hosts made us delicious cookies and as we walked into the house the fireplace was lit welcoming us. The host also provided us some local coffee. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans as different family members took turns cooking various meals. The beds were super comfortable. The host provided plenty of supplies and sheets and towels. I would just suggest that the host note in the description the way the house has various elevated steps everywhere including a sunken living room. This might be important know for older visitors.

Family Thanksgiving

We came from all around, from Arizona, Yreka, Sonoma, Citrus Heights and Reno. We needed a large home with child-happy spaces and room for the dog, as well as plenty of beds and common gathering space. We had a perfectly lovely time, with lots of room in the open concept kitchen/livingroom/dining room to cook our Thanksgiving meal. Would highly recommend this place for anyone with a larger party of folks. The hostess Cheryl was so easy to communicate with and was happy to help us with any questions we had during our stay.

Gold country gem

A great property for large groups as the layout is vast with plenty of room to isolate. The sun room with ping pong table and games was a hit. Everything you need for a group getaway. We would return.
