Absolutely loved staying at this house! We had a 3-day girls weekend for my birthday and this place was the perfect choice! Everything we needed was right on site! Kitchen was fully stocked, bedrooms were comfortable! We really enjoyed the gas fireplace for our evenings watching movies and loved having a fire going outside for morning coffee ( and mimosas... wink wink) Would definitely recommend to anyone and we are hopeful we can all come visit again!
This is a gorgeous home on Clear Lake as described. The home is well maintained and well stocked. We were looking for a place to spend time with our children before taking our middle child off to college - this was perfect. There are 4 canoes, 2 paddle boards and a motor boat perfect for fishing. Our family loved spending time on Clear Lake. Peilin and Chris were very responsive prior to and during our stay. They genuinely are interested in you enjoying your time time spent at their home. If you choose this lake home you won't regret it!!
Top notch experience!!
Absolutely an amazing home for a multigenerational family of ten. The owners and property manager were all available and provided us with everything we needed.
My grandparents had a summer cottage on this lake from the 1950s through 1986. My grandma passed away in the 1970s. My grandpa remarried in the early 1980s but when he died, our family was forced to sell the cottage by our evil step-grandmother. Fast-forward to the pandemic year of 2020, I decided to return to the lake and bought this home on the same lake on which I had fished during my childhood summers.
Peaceful lake with high cliffs and a tiny island. It's small enough to let the kids play and swim around the dock independently but large enough for water skiing, wakeboarding, or tubing with a power boat. The fishing is good year-round, including ice fishing in the month of February. There are bluegills, rock bass, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass. I'd say the average-size bass weighs about one pound, but my brother and I have caught fish as large as 5.5 pounds.
This home is unique because it offers water-level views of the lake and a next-door estuary teaming with life (bullfrogs, beavers, and a blue heron). The property has a large green area opposite the lakeside of the house, which is excellent for relaxing in the shade or playing badminton. The area is close to the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence River, which is home to world-class game fishing, including smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and muskellunge. There are many activities on the river during the summer months, including powerboat races, tours of the islands, and fishing tournaments (Bassmaster Elite Series: August 15-18, 2024).
