This was a beautiful cabin in the woods close to Patoka Lake and many things to do. We enjoyed our offseason stay. The host was very helpful. A couple checkin notes: the home has 2 addresses, which was a bit confusing. Also, when inlocking the combo lock, be sure to press the red check for a bit.The fire pit was lovely, as was the hot tub. There were a few supplies missing, coffee filters and trash bags. But there were thoughtful extras like a packnplay and potty ring for the littles.Overall, it was a wonderful stay! Very nice family vacation.
Overall, the cabin was nice. Would recommend a good deep cleaning. Lost the tv remote and looked under the couch and under the cushions to find it. . Also lots of spiders, which is somewhat expected in the woods but clearing some of the massive spider webs would help. We enjoyed the fire pit outside and location is close to the lake for boating. Water is super hot for dishes and showers so beware. Itâs a nice cabin with plenty of room for 6 adults.
My husband and I stayed here with our daughter and grandkids. Everything was clean and orderly. Plenty of hot water for showers. Perfect weekend getaway. Had everything you would need, just bring your toothbrush and enjoy.
We enjoyed our family time at the cabin with a few hiccups during our stay which the owner was prompt to assist and resolve. Parking a boat was an issue due to the house being on a little bit of a hill but we managed. Had an issue with the keyless entry and discovered the passcode had been changed and he had sent a message through VRBO but I didn't know or think to check. Hot tub wasn't very hot and smelled. Owner gave us access to chemicals and offered to have someone come check on it. Ran out of propane on the grill which has seen better days.
Nice cabin and firepit. The only complaint was that the hot tub was not really clean. We were only able to use it 2 days before getting cloudy and smelly. I notified the host who was able to come out the next morning to drain and refill. It literally took 24 hours to heat. So we were out 2 days of being able to use it. It should have been drained and refilled before our stay. The host is an hour away so anything immediate will take some time to fix. Other than that, we enjoyed renting a boat on Patoka Lake for a day. Also, the host was able to let us check in early!
Cabin was great and had everything we needed. Perfect for six adults with plenty of space. The screened in porch was wonderful and the fire pit was perfect. Close to the lake and not far from town. Relaxing and fun for our entire group!
The cabin decor was good....Kitchen area was outstanding.Parking was a struggle for a bass boat. Teflon skillets were needed....everything stuck with the stainless steel. The hot tub, screened in front porch, and fire pit were exceptional. Thank you for a lovely stay.
It was a great weekend get away for the family to rejuvenate. The place was clean and very nice. It was everything we were looking for! Kinda loved the bunk beds.
Ric was a wonderful host and the cabin was a perfect getaway. The checkin process was seamless and the cabin was very clean. The location is perfect for some privacy yet close to the winery and brewery. We highly recommend this cabin!
We had such a good time at this property! We had 2 families of 4 (4 kids under 5) and it was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone. Ric was an excellent host and updated us about the property ahead of our scheduled booking (there had been an ice storm). I really appreciated the transparency. Would highly recommend!
6 adults met for a relaxing weekend. The cabin was very clean. It was 53 degrees in the cabin when we arrived. The owner responded quickly to adjust the thermostat remotely. It was set for 69, but it wasnât keeping up. Eventually, it rose to 69 and all was good. We didnât cook in the cabin. We went out to eat. Thereâs not much close by so be prepared. It was a quick drive to French lick. The mattresses were firm and I noticed there were a lot of outlets. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I wish we had a chance to use the fire pit.
This was the best place to stay for our girls trip of 10! Beautiful, quiet, serene. Ric was very easy to work with and helped navigate the check in and out process. Was also very readily available during our trip! Great place!
A group of guy friends stayed here near Patoka lake so we could rent a boat. The cabin is very close to the marina. This cabin was stocked with just about everything we needed so that was really refreshing. The air conditioning and all appliances worked flawlessly. It was obvious the owner took pride in the property. There are multiple cabins in the area but there is enough woods that it still felt secluded. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Our family stayed at this cabin for the Holiday weekend. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed.
There was plenty of room for all of us. Great location!
Close to the winery, brewery and lake. We would definitely stay here again.
I've lived in Southern Indiana for most of my adult life. I went to college at Indiana University in Bloomington and now I live on the Indiana side of Louisville. In addition to the lake, my grandchildren love playing in the woods around our cabin and going on the cave tours in our area. I enjoy taking my kayak on quite lake coves and down the Blue River at Milltown. I have been a host for more than 15 years, first in Florida and now back home in Indiana.
All the homes in our neighborhood are log cabins built on heavily wooded lots of one acre or more. The setting is private and peaceful, a perfect spot to get away from the bustle of everyday life.
