Lakefront Cabin- Pike Lake Chain - 20 minutes. Ouest de Minocqua

Ce chalet de deux chambres est situé sur le lac Round de la chaîne Pike Lake. La vue depuis le chalet sera à couper le souffle! La chaîne de quatre lac a plus de 2000 acres de l'eau, offrant de grandes possibilités de pêche, baignade et le canotage. Il est situé à un mile et demi de la forêt nationale Chequamegon-Nicolet, qui a miles et des miles de sentiers de randonnée et de VTT. Minocqua se trouve à seulement 20 minutes en voiture.

L'intérieur est tout pin noueux. Il dispose de 2 chambres, d'une cuisine récemment rénovée, salle à manger, salon avec cheminée debout libre de gaz, une nouvelle salle de bains et une nouvelle véranda avec table de petit déjeuner et une grande terrasse. Il peut accueillir confortablement cinq. 14 'rowboat est inclus avec la location. Deux kayaks sont stockés à la cabine et sont fournis sans frais pour nos clients de profiter.

Le chalet a été complètement rénové et agrandi en 2012, avec une nouvelle grande salle de bains avec de nouveaux appareils, ainsi que d'une plus grande salle de séjour, salle à manger et chambres à coucher. Un nouveau porche d'écran, de nouvelles fenêtres plus grande avant et un nouveau toit faisaient également partie de l'ajout de 2012. La cuisine a été entièrement rénové en 2010, y compris les nouvelles armoires et les électroménagers. L'empreinte de la cabine a été augmenté d'environ 20% en 2012.

Le chalet est l'un des neuf qui font partie du Wild Goose Resort. Wild Goose est soigné et propre et bien entretenu. Le directeur de l'entretien de la propriété vit dans la rue. Le "Goose" est vraiment un "secret bien gardé" et a été en opération depuis de nombreuses années.

I had a great time. A nice quiet place, that was clean and had everything I needed. Nice dock with provided row boats. Weather was iffy (late August) but I was after a relaxing week away, from traffic, and to fish.

Weekend hunting trip

A buddy and I spent a couple days chasing grouse in northern Wisconsin. This cabin offered a convenient headquarters for our daily hunts. We met some other hunters staying nearby; there were also fisherman getting in some late season fishing. Overall, it was a wonderfully quaint northern Wisconsin cabin, and we enjoyed it.

Great place!

Enjoyed a weekend retreat at the Loon Cabin. Great place, amazing lake views, huge pier! An all around great place, and the deer are reasonably tame. Local places to eat (3 or 4), without having to drive more than 5 mins away, all have amazing food!

Fishing Trip w/ The Guys

Memorial Weekend fishing trip with the guys. The weather wasn’t perfect, but ‘tis the season. We still caught a bunch of nice crappie, smallies, northern and walleye. We love this chain and have been staying on it the past 3 years. First time at the Wild Goose Resort. Paul was awesome to work with and the Loon cabin was perfect. My nephew also appreciated the kayaks…he was out kayak fishing from sun up to sun down. Just like many reviews suggested, the pics on the site don’t do it justice. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks again!

Awesome experience at Loon Cabin

We had such a great time at the Loon Cabin! It had everything we could have possibly wanted. The little stove kept it so cozy and warm. My husband went fishing on the pier and also took a canoe out. He did not catch any fish but had a great time! We will be staying there again next year!

Great Place

Perfect Northwoods experience at this place. We loved the lake view! Paul is very responsive. If you arrive at night like we did, you’ll need to use your headlights to find the cabin with the sign that says “loon”, took us a couple go-arounds to find the right one! Thanks for having us, Paul!

Quiet Retreat

Perfect little cabin, it has everything you need to be comfortable. The kayaks are a huge plus even tho i didn’t get to use them due to weather. The only thing I would change is adding the name of the cabin into the introduction message or something like that, i did 3 or 4 laps around looking at the numbers before giving Paul a ring. He was quick to call back after leaving a message and got it figured out. Overall 5 stars, thank you for letting me use your place.

Great place! Ours was a short stay but we felt right at home here. Cabin was spacious and great view o f lake. Wish the weather was a little more cooperative but still had a great time.

Cozy cabin on beautiful lake

We visit Round Lake annually with our family. We love the cabins at Wild Goose, but our favorite is Loon. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the kitchen is well appointed. The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year!

Cozy cabin in a great location!

My wife and I came to the area to go antiquing. We wanted something a little different from a hotel. When we came across the listing for the cabin, we thought it looked good. When we arrived to the resort, it was after dark and we were a little confused on where we were supposed to go. But a quick call to Paul and we found it. The cabin is very clean and cozy! The view from the cabin was beautiful. We weren’t at the cabin long during the day because we were out exploring, but it was a perfect location to come back to after a very long day . We really liked the no tv! There are so many games to pick from, pamphlets of things to do in the area and lots of books. The enclosed screen porch was awesome. We loved the area and the cabin! Definitely should take some more pictures of the cabin and post them because the photos shown at the time don’t do the cabin justice. It really is a gem with a great host. Jason and Kim

A great Up North experience. We had an early snow during the time we visited so we did not use the kayaks but what a great amenity! Warm and inviting indoors with a great view. Loved the property.

Loon vacation

Pictures online didn’t do justice- much more spacious- loved cabin. Unfortunately the weather was not most cooperative. Also problem with only one pier in so not enough room for all boats. If weather and piers had been better it would be rated a 5. Owner very good about responding

Nice cabin but………

While we were at the cabin we had a non emergency question we needed answered. We looked at the red “cabin” folder on the kitchen table and called the contact person listed. He said he hadn’t worked there two for two years. Next I called Paul at his listed phone number on VRBO, I got a recording saying the number was not in service so I emailed him. We never got a response back. I even said we would feel better knowing we had a contact if something went wrong and would appreciate it if he would please get back to us. There was simply zero communication with Paul and it wasn’t from our lack of trying.

The Loon at Wild Goose Resort

We stayed at this nice, cute cabin on Round Lake on the 14-18 of September 2021. It is very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We would highly recommend it. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Great time at the lake!

My family had a great time staying at the cabin. There is a small beach area which was perfect for my kids with shallow water they could easily play in. Paul was very responsive and helpful with restaurant suggestions and recommendations of spots to check out on the lake. My husband even caught a big musky. All around great trip! We plan to go back again next year!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We bought on the Pike Lake Chain because there is over 2,000 acres of water. The cabin (The Loon) is on Round Lake. Round Lake is awesome. Approximately 65% of Round lake is surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest - 65% natural shoreline-- no homes, very quiet.

We wanted to be on a lake that is a little off the beaten path. Minocqua is nice, but it is a bit touristy. The Pike Lake Chain is quieter than the lakes that are either in or real close to Minocqua. We get the best of both worlds, because we are located on the quieter, less populated, Pike Lake Chain. However, The Pike Lake Chain is only a short 20 - 25 minute drive to Minocqua.

We also enjoy being within walking distance to the hiking trails, located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest - The trails circumvent Round Lake and are only 1/2 mile from the Cabin.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Being part of the Wild Goose Resort is great because you get the benefits that the resort offers. A private beach, camp fire pit, boat launch next door, pier for your boat.

The private beach is about 200 feet from the cabin. The boat lunch is next door, approximately 1000 feet from the cabin. Great for small children. You can access WIFI from the cabin.

There are 4 -5 bar/restaurants located within 3 miles from the Resort.
