Cozy Family Sized Cottage in the Country! 15 minutes to Lancaster City!!

Come & Stay at our lovely, family sized cottage in the Country!! This well cared for home is only 15 minutes west of LANCASTER CITY, near to the Susquehanna River and close to many other outdoor destinations and activities such as the Turkey Hill Trail, Enola Low Grade Biking Trail, Chestnut Grove Natural Area, Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve, Safe Harbor Dam Fishing, Chickies Rock, and the Northwest River Trail. This cottage has a cozy kitchen, dining room, living room with reclining couches, 3 bedrooms, and a full bath all on the main floor. A sprawling, open basement with a full bath, cozy sitting nook, and an outside entrance with a wide doorway that opens onto the driveway, makes a wonderful place to stretch out and relax. A nice sized yard outside is a perfect place to play some games or watch the stars in the clear night sky!!! Wake up every morning, and have breakfast with a few fresh chocolate chip cookies and healthy eggs from our pasture raised flock of chickens!!! And there is no need to hurry home when the weekend is over.......there is reliable, high speed, Wi-Fi here so that you can keep up with business and school away from home. So go ahead and enjoy an extra night or two!!! We have a three(3)night minimum stay($175/night)....or, stay for 7 nights and take advantage of our weekly rate($157.50/night)!!!

Check in was super easy! The home was absolute beautiful! Extraordinarily clean! We will definitely book again. The host left many treats for us which was so kind and made us smile. Wonderful place

Five adults attending an event at Lancaster Convention Center. The rooms were wonderful. Minor issue was location of nightstands in the bedrooms but we managed. Kitchen was fully stocked. I was surprised to find so many provisions- eggs, sausages, milk, OJ, apple juice, pancakes, yogurt, butter, cereal, all the condiments and snacks. Fantastic! Quiet area, beautiful views. We were here mostly to sleep so lack of television wasn’t an issue but I could see it being good to have for a family in the evening or if weather is bad. Wonderful place. We hope to stay here again. Big thank you to the hosts!!

Wonderful house!

This property is in rural PA, with gorgeous views and all the amenities! Our kids loved the house with an open basement to play and chickens to watch. Everything was stocked, you truly needed only the food you specifically wanted for the week. The host was great at communicating and even offered their wagon when we thought our 5 yr old couldnt do all the walking we had planned. The eggs and cookies were a wonderful treat! I would say, there aren't any TVs in the house but there is internet. Our kids had a lot to do and we had our own technology. It was awesome! Highly recommend

Above and Beyond

Country Haven Cottage is beautifully decorated and is just that: a haven. The host and hostess went so above and beyond in welcoming us and providing for any need that might arise.

Truly the best amenities

We loved our visit. Wendell and Twiline provided way more than was required or expected. Milk, juice, bread, sausage, farm fresh eggs and much, much more. It felt like being at home. Cozy, comfy, and and exceptionally clean. clean.

Pleasant State in the rolling hills

What a lovely home. I stayed here with my mother-in-law who was 91 and my husband. We would be happy to return to this lovely home which was so well supplied. There were were more towels than we could possibly used, extra pillows, wonderful kitchen supplies and loads of snacks and breakfast provided. Everything was clean and and just lovely.

Great cozy home

This home was great as a base camp for our travel through local history in the region. It was convenient to Lancaster County proper, Lititz, and Gettysburg. The home allowed us to relax in the evenings with quiet time and provided us a chance to hit the day running with eggs and sausage for breakfast. We will recommend this home to family/friends who may travel to the area.

Absolutely loved this property. The house was as welcoming and homey as your own! The fridge was nicely stocked with essentials upon arrival (even had organic yogurt pouches for my little one). The basement is nice and wide open for little ones to run around! The beds are all firm memory foam which I am not a fan of but of course that is preference!

Wonderful place to stay

This was our 2nd stay here and it was just as good as the first. We will definitely be back again. Plenty of space to spread out in the basement. Stocked with plenty of snacks and breakfast items.

Great stay; fantastic house

We came on a lady's trip to see Sight and Sound - the house is between 25-42 minutes to any major attraction. We saw one of the local Amish Museums; the Amish Farmer's Market; Sight and Sound; One to the Several buffet style restaurants and we made a quick trip to Hershey Chocolate world - The house is more than expected. I have never stayed in such an accurately descripted and clean VRBO and I've stayed in my fair share. The description states they will provide everything you need for breakfast and we thought that meant one breakfast - there was enough for all mornings we were there if we wanted. Including fresh eggs. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again. The only thing I will mention if you go with kids and were hoping for a place for them to plop in the house to settle after a long day and watch a little tv, there is no tv on site. We didn't care, but it is worth noting - we did have iPads, etc if we wanted to use them but found ourselves busy enough we didn't really care. Thanks for a great stay and enjoy yours if you choose this house.

Beautiful farmland

The house was equipped with so many things. There were snacks in the cabinets. Lots of extras that were completely unexpected. We thoroughly enjoyed being there.

Peaceful Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The home was well stocked with everything needed and even more that we didn't expect - like milk, bread, snacks and so much more! The beds were quite comfortable for sleeping, the living room had great seating for gathering and having good conversations, and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware. It is near many attractions and we enjoyed hiking in the area, Farmers' markets, and the Sight & Sound Theater. Our hosts were kind and thought of everything.

The photos of the house didn’t do it justice! It was so sweet and comfortable when we got there. Filled with love and so much more than was needed by the owners. They really went above and beyond as hosts and I know where I’m going to stay next visit as well! This place is amazing!!

Amazing Property and Hosts

We are a family of five staying at this amazing property. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. Having stayed at different guest houses in the area over the past 20 years, we have never come across a home that was as well stocked as this one. Twilene could give lessons on how to manage a rental property. Plentiful towels, supplies groceries and hospitality were right at our fingertips. They are wonderful people. We had a chance to visit with their entire family and left feeling like family. There aren’t enough stars to rate them appropriately. We will definitely come back to this lovely home on our next visit to Lancaster County.

Conestoga house

Wonderful hosts! The house was clean and very inviting. The house was stocked with everything we needed, including fresh eggs, bread, butter, coffee and snack foods. We arrived later in the day and did not need to shop for breakfast groceries for the morning. The hosts provided us with advice about activities and places to visit while in the area. We had a great stay and will gladly recommend this house and these hosts.

A truly off grid getaway

If you are looking to unplug and get away from the rat race, this location and cottage are perfect for that. We had a blessed time in Conestoga and are hoping to be back in the near future. There is no detail left undone from the beautiful and inspiring decor to the coffee pods and machine, cookie batter and all kinds of goodies in the refrigerator. We felt so at home. Thank you for allowing us to share in the peace and comfort of your home. We had a memorable time. Tips: Amish countryside surrounds this cottage and you don’t have to go far to see all the major sites. Highly recommend a show at the Sight and Sound theater.

Perfect Country Getaway

This was an exceptional cottage to stay in with our elderly parents. It was so peaceful and quiet and was the cleanest, neatest place we have ever stayed in. The hosts really went above and beyond with delicious breakfast items and lots of treats. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cottage. We would definitely stay there again!
