Come & Stay at our lovely, family sized cottage in the Country!! This well cared for home is only 15 minutes west of LANCASTER CITY, near to the Susquehanna River and close to many other outdoor destinations and activities such as the Turkey Hill Trail, Enola Low Grade Biking Trail, Chestnut Grove Natural Area, Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve, Safe Harbor Dam Fishing, Chickies Rock, and the Northwest River Trail. This cottage has a cozy kitchen, dining room, living room with reclining couches, 3 bedrooms, and a full bath upstairs. A sprawling, open basement with a full bath, cozy sitting nook, and an outside entrance with a wide doorway that opens onto the driveway, makes a wonderful place to stretch out and relax. A nice sized yard outside is a perfect place to play some games or watch the stars in the clear night sky!!! Wake up every morning, and have breakfast with a few fresh chocolate chip cookies and healthy eggs from our pasture raised flock of chickens!!! And there is no need to hurry home when the weekend is over.......there is reliable, high speed, Wi-Fi here so that you can keep up with business and school away from home. So go ahead and enjoy an extra night or two!!! We have a three(3)night minimum stay($175/night)....or, stay for 7 nights and take advantage of our weekly rate($157.50/night)!!!

Great cozy home

This home was great as a base camp for our travel through local history in the region. It was convenient to Lancaster County proper, Lititz, and Gettysburg. The home allowed us to relax in the evenings with quiet time and provided us a chance to hit the day running with eggs and sausage for breakfast. We will recommend this home to family/friends who may travel to the area.

Absolutely loved this property. The house was as welcoming and homey as your own! The fridge was nicely stocked with essentials upon arrival (even had organic yogurt pouches for my little one). The basement is nice and wide open for little ones to run around! The beds are all firm memory foam which I am not a fan of but of course that is preference!

Wonderful place to stay

This was our 2nd stay here and it was just as good as the first. We will definitely be back again. Plenty of space to spread out in the basement. Stocked with plenty of snacks and breakfast items.

Great stay; fantastic house

We came on a lady's trip to see Sight and Sound - the house is between 25-42 minutes to any major attraction. We saw one of the local Amish Museums; the Amish Farmer's Market; Sight and Sound; One to the Several buffet style restaurants and we made a quick trip to Hershey Chocolate world - The house is more than expected. I have never stayed in such an accurately descripted and clean VRBO and I've stayed in my fair share. The description states they will provide everything you need for breakfast and we thought that meant one breakfast - there was enough for all mornings we were there if we wanted. Including fresh eggs. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again. The only thing I will mention if you go with kids and were hoping for a place for them to plop in the house to settle after a long day and watch a little tv, there is no tv on site. We didn't care, but it is worth noting - we did have iPads, etc if we wanted to use them but found ourselves busy enough we didn't really care. Thanks for a great stay and enjoy yours if you choose this house.

Beautiful farmland

The house was equipped with so many things. There were snacks in the cabinets. Lots of extras that were completely unexpected. We thoroughly enjoyed being there.

Peaceful Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The home was well stocked with everything needed and even more that we didn't expect - like milk, bread, snacks and so much more! The beds were quite comfortable for sleeping, the living room had great seating for gathering and having good conversations, and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware. It is near many attractions and we enjoyed hiking in the area, Farmers' markets, and the Sight & Sound Theater. Our hosts were kind and thought of everything.

The photos of the house didn’t do it justice! It was so sweet and comfortable when we got there. Filled with love and so much more than was needed by the owners. They really went above and beyond as hosts and I know where I’m going to stay next visit as well! This place is amazing!!

Amazing Property and Hosts

We are a family of five staying at this amazing property. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. Having stayed at different guest houses in the area over the past 20 years, we have never come across a home that was as well stocked as this one. Twilene could give lessons on how to manage a rental property. Plentiful towels, supplies groceries and hospitality were right at our fingertips. They are wonderful people. We had a chance to visit with their entire family and left feeling like family. There aren’t enough stars to rate them appropriately. We will definitely come back to this lovely home on our next visit to Lancaster County.

Conestoga house

Wonderful hosts! The house was clean and very inviting. The house was stocked with everything we needed, including fresh eggs, bread, butter, coffee and snack foods. We arrived later in the day and did not need to shop for breakfast groceries for the morning. The hosts provided us with advice about activities and places to visit while in the area. We had a great stay and will gladly recommend this house and these hosts.

A truly off grid getaway

If you are looking to unplug and get away from the rat race, this location and cottage are perfect for that. We had a blessed time in Conestoga and are hoping to be back in the near future. There is no detail left undone from the beautiful and inspiring decor to the coffee pods and machine, cookie batter and all kinds of goodies in the refrigerator. We felt so at home. Thank you for allowing us to share in the peace and comfort of your home. We had a memorable time. Tips: Amish countryside surrounds this cottage and you don’t have to go far to see all the major sites. Highly recommend a show at the Sight and Sound theater.

Perfect Country Getaway

This was an exceptional cottage to stay in with our elderly parents. It was so peaceful and quiet and was the cleanest, neatest place we have ever stayed in. The hosts really went above and beyond with delicious breakfast items and lots of treats. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cottage. We would definitely stay there again!

Awesome Home!

We enjoyed our stay in this home! The hosts have thought of everything for their future guests. We appreciated the breakfast items in the fridge and freezer, the snacks in the cupboard, and many other things that were nice to have available. We were disappointed that we didn’t take advantage of the frozen cookie dough in the freezer. Highly recommend!

Beautiful view of rural Lancaster County

We needed a place between York and Lancaster- Twilene’s house was perfect! wide variety of snacks, coffee, and tea. Well stocked kitchen. This lovely home has lots of seating at the table and in the living room and in the open basement - perfect for young children to run around and play. The bedrooms are as pictured with good mattresses and plenty of towels.

Home away from Home

We had a lovely time, was nice to get away and have a weekend with the girls. They kept telling me what a great job I had done in finding the right house for us to stay in. The house was beautiful and well located to all the places we visited. We would very much recommend your house to everyone, for a beautiful stay.

Perfect

We had the best experience possible! The house exceeded our expectations. It was clean, roomy, and stocked with anything we could possibly need, including things we hadn't even considered. Our hosts were gracious and kind and very thoughtful. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, amazing views of the surrounding land. We especially appreciated the cookies provided in the freezer! Such a sweet treat and enjoyed by us all. We will definitely be back if we are able to return to the area.

This property was truly like our home away from home.

We LOVED this house. It was about 20 min from everywhere we wanted to go (Strasburg, Lancaster, Lititz), the AC worked wonders during high temps (that were truly unheard of in mid-June in PA), everything was sparkling clean, and the owners met needs that we didn't even know we had. They provided not just linens and paper products, but also coffee, snacks, bottled water, toiletries, and more. There was frozen cookie dough in the freezer with instructions on baking, and let me tell you... They. Were. DELISH. We loved the home, and we'll definitely stay there again if we venture that way in the years to come. 💜

Best place ever

Our stay at Country Haven was so relaxing and cozy. Our host family was great and very accommodating. The refrigerator was stocked completely for breakfast and homemade cookies in the freezer. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels for showers. Thank you host family for making our stay one we will need forget. We would definitely come back to Country Haven. It was also a pleasure to meet our host family.

Absolutely Perfect!

Description is spot on and the owners are amazing! We truly enjoyed staying here and plan to be back again. The little touches made you feel special and welcome. Amazingly well stocked fridge with juice, water, eggs, bread, sausage and so much more. Even had pancake mix! We made breakfast every morning. Wonderful coffee/tea bar and snacks galore. You truly couldn’t ask for a better place. The owners were so welcoming and a pleasure to speak to. Communication was quick and answered all questions I had before booking. While there we felt like family. I would definitely recommend staying here for a nice, peaceful getaway.

Fantastic alternative to hotel

Every amenity you can think of has been thoughtfully provided by the hosts. We were looking for an alternative to a hotel that would have necessitated eating all of our meals out. For a comparable rate we had an entire house, private bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a fully stocked fridge (loaded with healthy selections) and a quick stop at the grocery store allowed us to maintain separate dietary concerns and save money. The washer and dryer were convenient to use, and while we were prepared with our own supplies, the hosts had already provided everything you would need. The large tub of ready to bake cookie dough was a refreshing respite for us each evening after a full days toil. The entire house was immaculate and conveniently laid out. It is clear that the owners take pride in maintaining the property and have thoughtfully (and successfully) anticipated any wants/needs you may have. Thank you for being so attentive to your guests.
