Downtown Midland, walking distance to Dow Gardens, Tree Canopy and Main Street
Cute 2-story home in quiet, family oriented neighborhood. 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on second level, kitchen, living room and dining room on main level. All beds have memory foam mattresses that are at least 10 inches thick. A baby gate is set up in the living room at the bottom of the stairs. Fenced back yard for dogs. Grill in garage for guest use. Enjoy downtown Midland and then relax on the couch with multiple streaming apps for your use. Within 10 minute walk to Dow Gardens (admission there includes Tree Canopy walk) and the Center for the Arts, 15 minute walk to Main Street for great food and drinks and occasional live music or outdoor movies during the summer. Thrune Park (small splash park) is a 10 minute walk. Easy to get on to M-20 for a trip to the Soaring Eagle Casino for a show or some slot machines and blackjack.
My wife and I had a very nice stay at Julia's house. It's an older house, but it was clean and well-equipped. The location was good for us with an easy walk to downtown Midland. We really enjoyed our stay.
Thanks for a great stay. The home is super clean and very comfortable. Great location for exploring Midland and the bike trails nearby. Definitely visit the Tridge!
We had an awesome stay at this darling home! My sister had a significant birthday. We did a spa day and roamed downtown area after. All within walking distance! Thanks Julia for a great stay!
Wonderful property, with beautiful backyard.
We visited and enjoyed walking downtown, which was a couple blocks away.
Nice quiet neighborhood.
We will come back again.
Thanks for making it happen!!
Location was great! Never traveled more than three to four miles to any site/event we wanted to visit.
An unfortunate domestic situation three doors down requiring police intervention one late afternoon of our stay caused a short bit of anxiousness, but overall, neighborhood and neighbors seemed nice.
House was very comfortable.
My mom, my daughter, and I stayed the night before my sister's wedding. We were VERY impressed at the cleanliness and quality of amenities. The host was very accommodating with a late checkout time so all the girls could meet up in the morning to have our hair done. Thank you for your part in making my sister's wedding fun and memorable!
We had a great stay and would definitely book here again.
My family was in town over New Year's for a family gathering.
The house has tons of charm, was really clean and well kept, and the owner was easy to work with and communicated with me regularly after my booking was confirmed.
The beds were comfortable and each room has a dresser and closet. A definite plus!
It truly felt like a home away from home.
The location is perfect. It's a quiet neighborhood and close to everything.
The value for money was also great; with 3 bedrooms and a working kitchen it was still half the cost of two double rooms at all the hotels.
If you're visiting Midland or an area near by, I highly recommend this home.
Hi! Iâm Julia, a lifelong Midlander, Mom of three and a registered nurse. I love hosting because it fills my cup when I hear how and what guests are using my home for (anniversaries, quick weekend getaways, Midland sightseeing, business trips, etc). I enjoy giving recommendations for food and sightseeing and then hearing feedback from guests on it.
This is the first home I bought on my own and I fell in love with its old charm. The neighborhood has lots of children and in the summertime Iâd often leave the windows open to hear the kids playing outside. Thereâs a school on the next block over, friendly and helpful neighbors (many who have lived in the neighborhood for several years to decades. Thereâs a splash park and river walk within walking distance as well and itâs a great walk for dogs and kids.
The yard is completely fenced in, nice big porch in front to enjoy your morning cup of coffee on and a patio set in the back to eat dinner on. Downtown Midland is within walking distance, during the summer if youâre not already in the Commons area downtown enjoying the live music, you can hear it from the house. You can also spot the fireworks from the Loons stadium and watch the hot air balloons go by during River Days. Also walking distance to Dow Gardens, the tree canopy and Center for the Arts. If midcentury modern architecture is your thing, walk to the library and check out the Alden B. Dow designed library, tour his home (advanced reservations required but also within walking distance) or take a car ride around Midland and see if you can spot the Dow houses.
