Gulf Dunes Resort offre à ses clients une expérience de escapade avec des jardins tropicaux spacieux, des dunes de mer, des courts de tennis, une zone de grillades, deux piscines (une chauffée d'octobre à mars) et un grand parking. L'accès à la plage nécessite la navigation des escaliers pendant que vous traversez les dunes de sable. Les plages de l'île d'Okaloosa sont aussi blanches que les plages. Le sable mou sucré ne se trouve nulle part ailleurs en Amérique du Nord, attirant des visiteurs de toutes les régions du monde. Wade dans les eaux cristallines du golfe du Mexique. Ce tronçon de plage fait partie de la côte d'Emeraude de la Floride, qui s'étend de Panama City à Pensacola. I love that we got information prior to our trip about what to expect. The check in process was quick and as expected. The property was conveniently located and easily accessible. No pizza cutter or soft spatula so I bought them to make it even better. My husband raved about the sheets, need to upgrade at home. Weather was great all round, just a little rain. First Time in Unit 603

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Brooks and Shorey staff, particularly the lady working in the Gulf Dunes building, have been great to work with each year. This was the first time we rented the unit and we were a bit disappointed in the comfort of the sofa and loveseat. The kitchen wasn't as well stocked (4 teaspoons as versus 8 or more) etc., but the beds were very comfortable and the balcony furniture was very nice. The cleaning crew left the kitchen cabinets very disorganized and the cookware was missing a few sizes of pots and skillets...otherwise, our stay was very pleasant.

Great Gulf-front view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had to "man" the coffee pot so it wouldn't overflow (after cleaning the coffee grounds out of it), but the k-cup one worked fine. All 3 electrical outlets around the dining table did not work, regardless of which light switches were on. They just need to be replaced. The balcony furniture was great! The 2 front bedrooms REALLY need black-out curtains! Just wish we'd been told that the bridge workers would be pile-driving at 8am! Go to Fubar for great pizza; AJ's for great karaoke & the Shack for great fish!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is beautiful. The views were amazing, and their was plenty of room for everone. The little kids loved the bunk area. The balcony was very spacious. This condo was very clean and well stocked with plenty of dishes which was great for cooking. I would love to come back to the ft Walton area and stay in this condo. The master bathroom is huge and jets in master bathroom were a huge plus. Plenty of closet space and beds were comfortable. I highly recommend this condo for a big family. We had 7 with us and there was plenty of room. Overall we had a great time and loved our condo. Thank you

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself was as advertised, and meant our expectations. Maint.issues would be the slider onto the balcony from living room area was stubborn and may have a flat spot on the roller. Maybe an all-over unit paint job is necessary in the off-season. I was impressed with the cookwear as the skillet was useable and actually may have been newly purchased. Now, I know that may not sound like much, but from my experience elsewhere, let me tell you, a decent frying pan is hard to come by in the vaca rental world. Kudos to the Brooks and Shorey staff~ your rental/check-in/check-out process is seamless. Lastly, we love the area, white sand, calm waters, and look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful beach

Reviewer Comments: Family enjoyed the beach and pool.This is the first time I have encountered issues at a condo rental, and I have to lay the blame on the management. The sliding door from the great room to the balcony was broken and of no use for the entirety of our stay. All access was made through the master bedroom. Refrigerator leaked, ice maker not working, which was resolved a few days later.One of the two pools had no access during our stay due to painting overhead, this was on July 4 week.We were not told of any problems afore hand.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is perfect, however this unit was not clean. The floors inside were not mopped, the outside patio tile was also dirty. The master bathroom:only one small towel rack, we were having to dry our towels on hangers from the closet. The master door knob would stick constantly, the rugs in the master could use a cleaning. The sliding glass doors were dirty as well as being very difficult to open. The Master bed was old and uncomfortable and the mattress was dirty. The pillows old and flat, we could not get the TV in the Master to increase volume and then it would not shut off, with us having to unplug it, hair in the nightstand as well. This is our 4th year coming to Okaloosa Island and twice renting from Brooks & Shorey, and we love it there, however this was by far was a huge disappointment staying in this unit

Summer Vacation 2023

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the location of our Rental. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We were very disappointed in the furniture and cleanliness of the property. When we turned the ceiling fan on in the master bedroom dust bunnies covered the bedspread. The furniture was dusty and the baseboards looked as if they’d never been cleaned. The sofa and loveseat were worn out and very uncomfortable. We ended up using the outdoor furniture because we couldn’t get comfortable otherwise. The unit is in desperate need of updated furniture and a deep cleaning. Also, the sliding door leading to the balcony was so hard to open and close that my husband couldn’t open it on his own. The ball bearings on the rollers on the door are gone or worn out. On a more positive note the unit was very quiet. For the money we paid we were disappointed.

The property was exactly as pictured, we loved that the master bedroom has it's own beach view. We had fabulous week. Gulf Dunes location is perfect for walking to many of the Islands dinning options and attractions. I will always recommend Brooks & Shorey Resorts to friends and Family! Five star Stay!
