Come enjoy our lakefront house on beautiful Long Lake. This is a full sport lake that will provide you the opportunity to enjoy your favorite activities. There are no wake hours before 11am and after 7:30pm, this is a great time to explore all of the nature and serenity the lake has to offer. The fishing is abundant including walleye, large mouth bass, pike, crappie and blue gills to name a few. 2 kayaks and a paddle boat are included with rental. Pontoon is available upon request.
The house was pretty much exactly as listed. 2 kayaks, a paddle boat. Phone data was spotty, but the home had nice wifi so it was great. The area was quiet during our stay. Be on the look out for horse drawn carriages on the roads as there are Amish nearby.
Nice little cottage/home on beautiful Long Lake! Our family enjoyed our stay here and the host was wonderful and very responsive with a few questions we had. Definitely recommend this place!
Natalie was an amazing host. It was great to have the option to pay extra for the pontoon boat right on the property. She communicated very well. The outside deck space and sandy beach was perfect. We made the three bedrooms work and enjoyed our time together as a family.
The cozy cabin has a great view of the lake & we really enjoyed watching the swans & geese. The house was roomy, comfortable & the sun room was lovely for viewing lake activities & fall colors. Having two bathrooms for the family very convenient.
This has great outdoor spaces with deck and dock, however the whole house is very rustic, and needs updating-70 paneling, furniture, kitchen, etc. The bathroom facilities are difficult, with one tiny shower-no tub and the second âbathroomâ is more a utility room with a toilet- and utility sink - the kitchen was well stocked. The beds only had a fitted sheet, no top sheet but the beds themselves were very comfortable, but the walls are incredibly thin. We would have happily rented the pontoon but it was only offered to rent paying for arrival day (check in time is 4pm -we flew in, arrived at 8pm- didnât understand why we would be charged for a day of boat rental when we werenât even there? But the only way it is rented even after mentioning. The lake has a lot of activity including loud zooming jet skis and boats speeding around with skiers with loud music- more of a party atmosphere / Iâm all for a good time but it was disruptive while enjoying the outdoor space for meals and games and fishing with constant wake- have to pause conversations at those times but it was quiet at night. This is not a peaceful lake environment if thatâs what youâre looking for. Great for pets with lots of room and neighborhood dogs. Little irritants like no hand soap in the kitchen and bathrooms, one roll of paper towel- needed to buy basic household things just for a long weekend. All in all it was a good house with great outdoor space and an incredible tree in the backyard.
Our daughter graduated from Hillsdale College and we needed a place to stay--we so wished we had found this place a long time ago and would have stayed here each time we came. (It is not as convenient as the Dow but not as far as Jackson and the drive was easy and pretty.). The cabin is darling--old but build well, clean and well-furnished and the lake is beautiful. We laughed when we came in--the keys were "out back" which is really by the road which we should consider the front--they consider the front the portion looking at the lake:). Natalie was great--very responsive. We spent one evening out on the kayaks and it was amazing. We highly recommend this place!
