Celebrate your holiday at the shore with our decorated home over Thanksgiving and Christmas! Our spacious and comfortable home is just off beach block <400 feet from soft sandy beaches. It's a great place to relax and cook for families and groups. We have a huge great room with a front balcony for lounging/eating outside plus comfortable beds. Stone Harbor's Main St. is a quintessential family beach downtown with good dining and shopping. A local market/take-out places are 2 blocks away. Beautiful wetlands nearby for kayaking & more. Atlantic City, Cape May, & Wildwood are short drives.
We provide full-service check-in and check-out cleanings for all our guests including pillows, linens, towels, and making of beds so there is NO need for you bring sheets and towels, OR rent them, OR make beds upon arrival, OR do laundry before you leave. When you arrive at our home, we want you to relax, NOT set up the house for your family.
If considering a Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday stay please note we will add a decorated 8' Christmas tree to the main level, wreath to the front door, and other home decorations.
The space
Our 2500 square foot home is a comfortable, inviting, and relaxing space. The combination great room/dining room/kitchen on the second floor is the focal point of the house where people spend most of their time or just outside on the balcony...when they aren't at the beach which is less than 400 feet away. The great room has a large TV and comfortable leather couch and many sliding doors to let in the breeze if you want to breathe in the fresh air for your stay. The front balcony has a partial view of the ocean over the dunes on entry to the beach and has both chairs for lounging and table for eating. The master bedroom is upstairs next to the great room and has a private balcony with a few chairs as well. The remaining bedrooms are all downstairs and the largest bedroom downstairs with the office desk workspace also has a 50" TV.
The home has a BBQ space in the back of the house as well as an outdoor shower for washing off after coming back from the beach. Next to the outdoor shower are a clothes line to dry towels and a hose to wash off sand from any beach toys. We do have a significant paved driveway as well on the side and back of the house. We also provide a few bikes and boogie boards for guests as well.
The MAXIMUM occupancy of the house is 10 people (not including infants.) Exceeding this limit will result in loss of deposit and a negative guest review.
Guest access
The home is partially automated. I provide you with the code to 2 locked exterior doors of the house so no key will be necessary. If you have trouble getting in I can also unlock the doors remotely.
The entire home is available except for 2 closets under the stairs and in one bedroom that are locked as owner's and supply closets. The garage is locked as well. We provide beach towels and some beach supplies.
You'll have access to plenty of linens and the bathrooms and kitchens should be well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and more that is yours to use.
We try to keep the spices and cooking supplies cabinets well stocked as well when we visit the house every few months, but those supplies depend somewhat on the guests that preceded you.
Relax on the front balcony's porch furniture and listen to the seagulls and the sound of the seashore on Seven Mile Island.
Other things to note
There are security cameras outside the home facing the street on the front and side door/driveway. The cameras will remain on and be checked during arrival and check-out to ensure guests do not bring pets with them and bring the stated number of guests. There is also an outdoor shower on the back of the house and a hose to wash your feet off closer to the front door of the house.
The Neighborhood
Walking distance to Nuns Surfing beach - Best long board break in Southern Jersey
The streets on our southern section of the island are huge! You will see many people out walking, running, biking, roller blading, and more. There is a bird sanctuary a few blocks away and a bit further walking out to the point of the island where the ocean meets the bay is always a recommendation. Chelsea Place Park is a small kids playground and beach volleyball nets a few blocks away between 105th and 106th St. The homes in Stone Harbor are close together in many areas and our area is no exception so neighbors will be close by and we ask you to respect them as we know them well. We have a large home, but in our neighborhood our home has become one of the smaller homes on the block as large amazing homes are continuously being built nearby so walking around to check out the nearby houses is even a popular activity. The beach at the end of our beach is a swimmers beach, but the next street over is a surfer's beach. A 4 block long bird sanctuary is also just 4 blocks away.
Please note that a significant number of businesses in Stone Harbor only accept cash and that guests should be prepared with cash or with debit cards to take cash out at the local ATM's.

I grew up heading to the Jersey Shore for summer beach vacations. I moved out west for grad school and now own an Eastern Sierra home close to Lake Tahoe. We love our large home w/ a large lot & great views away from the bustle of Lake Tahoe. Both are vacation homes so we interact with you remotely. Some guests communicate every day and others only have an initial, check-in, and check-out communication. Any level of interaction is ok with me.
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Our neighborhood is on the quieter side of the island with a mix of older nice homes like ours and very nice huge new homes. The streets are huge and relaxed.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
Our home is an upside down house with a large great room common area on the top floor with a large attached balcony. It's a great place for families and groups to relax and spend time together and incredibly convenient with a very short walk to the beach, short walk to most supplies and some take-out food, and a longer but manageable walk to beautiful downtown Stone Harbor.
