We absolutely loved the stay. It was quiet and felt like we were the only ones there. The pond and garden are stunning. We spent a lot of time on the porch listening to nature, looking at the garden and orchard, and watching the cows next door. Ms. Martha was also very kind. We will certainly be back!
Such a warm, cozy cabin that feels like home. Enjoyed saying hello to the cows, and walking around the beautifully landscaped grounds. We will be back again, Iâm sure!
Cleanliness, positivity, coziness, comfort, and professional hosts are all attributes that jumped out about this experience! I would strongly recommend for those seeking a quiet place to recover after a day in the âreal world!â This little refuge is perfect. No complaints; only praise!
We enjoyed everything about this cabin. So clean and the fireplace was going when we came in. The owner had everything you needed including light snacks, plenty of towels, and a washer and dryer. Very romantic and cozy!
This was our 2nd time staying in this beautiful place. It is very clean, very quiet, and so perfect. We brought friends along this time. They rented one of the three cabins on the Steiner property. Right next door. Perfect olace to stay and close to all Ashville to offer
The photos do not do this property justice! The cabins are immaculate, well-stocked and immensely comfortable! There is everything you could need/want right at your fingertips! The property is beautiful and use of the dock/outdooor spaces are awesome! They have everything to make a small fire and even bug spray! Spectacular communication and ease of check in and out! We have already booked a trip back and will be making so many more in the future!
What a peaceful place! We enjoyed sitting on the porch gliders and the covered area at the lake for our quiet time. We could feel God's Presence so clearly. The cabin was spacious and very clean, well-appointed. Only suggestions: improve the bathroom lighting and the water pressure in the shower. Highly recommend!
This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was super clean, a perfect size, and thoughtful amenities everywhere. Completely smooth communications and super easy to get into the room, etc. A really enjoyable place to stay.
My wife and I have stayed in the area in the past but never in such a pleasant place. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The property was so nice we walked around the property and admired all the fruit trees and the attention to detail on every turn. The proximity to everything was perfect. Thank you Martha for a memorable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed every minute here. The grounds were pristine and serene. The cabin was everything they described it to be, simple and cozy. We were close to town but not in-town. We had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again given the opportunity.
I really hate to share this gem⊠we travel a lot and this was by far the best cabin experience ever!! The landscaping was immaculate upon arriving. Inside the cabin is home away from home, just bring food and clothing to enjoy. Clean and comfortable! We will definitely be back.
The property was beautiful and extremely well taken care of. This was the cleanest place we have stayed so far. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The home was even more beautiful in person. Martha was great to work with and very accommodating. I enjoyed seeing the different Christian quotes posted around the home. If we are ever in Hendersonville again we plan to stay here.
Online did not do it justice. The cabin is located perfectly to have peace and quiet, but also be close to things to do. It was clean and comfortable. The scenery is breathtaking. We will definitely be staying here every time we come back to North Carolina.
We loved this property. Cozy and welcoming, with everything we could possibly need provided. Comfortable bed and linens. Stocked kitchen. Peaceful surroundings. Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. We were a little disappointed that there wasn't a hot tub. There is a whirlpool tub, but the jets weren't very strong. The check in was fine, however since we had to get a physical key and
We have lived and worked on these 6 acres since 1992 and are quite a busy couple. Both of us have a farming background with a love of the soil and wood. Our hands can become quite dirty and messy as we raise a variety of fruits and vegetables for our own eating enjoyment. We work hard, eat healthy and sometimes forget to relax and play well. At time our baskets of produce are overflowing with plenty â enough to share.
Martha spends her time with cleaning and adding personal touches to the cabins, keeping the books for our different ventures and spending time with our grandchildren. We help each other with the maintenance of the cabins, our farm and the grounds. We are also involved with our local Mennonite church.
Clair and his sons have built upscale homes and have specialized in framing with exposed beam systems. Clair can cut the beams on his own sawmill located on the farm. That expertise was used in designing and building our cabins. Weâve used different species of wood for the floors, walls and ceilings. Most of the wood used in building the cabins have been cut on our sawmill. We are both lovers of wood and that love in reflected in our hand-built cabins.
We believe youâll enjoy coming home to the warmth and beauty of our cabins. While you are here please feel free to explore our grounds. Who knows, you may find us knee deep in some unfinished work.
We are open year-round, and our cabins are available for nightly, weekly, monthly, or short-term. We hope to see you soon.
We personally built this Cabin of our dreams with wood and timbers cut on Clair's sawmill. We are within easy driving distance of a number of area attractions which include Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, The Biltmore House, Pisgah Forest, Dupont Forest, Flat Rock Playhouse and The Carl Sandburg Home. These are all within 30 minutes from Our Cabin. Than we have downtown Hendersonville which has many shops including antique shops and a Mast General Store to visit and lots of eating places which are only a 10 - 15 minute drive. We have ski slopes in the winter and hiking, waterfalls, and horseback riding in the summer. Whatever your interest in the mountains, you're sure to find it here in Hendersonville.
