This is a place to explore and absorb nature's beauty and peace – with friends or family.
Crossing a beautiful private bridge over the rushing waterfalls that carved its way through the rock ledge for tens of thousands of years, you turn into your own private road – This is your retreat cottage as long as you like!

The master bedroom is the 2nd floor loft; both bedrooms have new pillow top queen mattresses and there is also a air mattress available.
Road and mountain biking and hiking along the brooks is immediately accessible with kayaking/canoeing within a15 - 30 min drive.... Mount Snow is 15 minutes away and Stratton 45 min away. Explore the geologically unique brooks right outside your door, with a half mile of trails to enjoy alongside the rushing waters and numerous waterfalls. The close by towns are Brattleboro (30 min drive) and Wilmington (20 min) offer many boutiques, restaurants/breweries, special events, and sightseeing. Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall foliage have their own special charm in this paradise.

Perfect secluded stay near Mt. Snow

We enjoyed our stay. Being only 15 minutes from places to eat, we had total privacy and quiet. The surrounding forest and nearby river are great and make you feel like you have escaped somewhere. Plenty of room for a family of four with a loft and a private room. Living space was nicely setup. If you want to prep your own meals during a stay, this place has all that you would need. Coffee maker, grinder, and some coffee were there. A dishwasher was excellent. A washer and drier on site make it nice in case you need to get some clean clothes back in circulation. Towels were on site already. The propane fireplace was a nice touch and produced great heat when needed. Communication with the host was great. We didn't need anything during our stay, but it was clear there was support if we needed it. We went skiing for five days and the size of this cottage made it possible to keep our stuff organized, dry, and ready for the next day.

Wonderful retreat in nature

Gene’s house a gem! A veritable retreat nestled in the trees with a crystal water creek running by. We loved the cathedral ceilings and the views over the forest all around the house. The deck with BBQ is perfect for enjoying nature. The place is brand new, fully equipped and nicely decorated. The perfect spot in beautiful Vermont. Our only regret is not to have been here during the fall season. We can only imagine how magical the place will be when the leaves turn and show their colors! We will come again! Thanks Gene for allowing this peaceful experience in nature!

A Much Needed Reprieve

Wow. What an escape. If you’re looking for a break away from the grind, this is it. Gene, the owner, has done an amazing job of transforming a beautiful portion of his land into a warm and tranquil refuge. It is truly a special place. The cottage had everything we could have needed for our stay. Full kitchen, laundry, toiletries, cookware, and the grill on the deck was great! Wifi was fast and reliable. The place was extremely clean and stocked with modern appliances. Beds were nice and cozy. We slept like babies to the sound of the brook right outside. Honestly, we wish we could keep this place a secret. Anytime we return to Vermont, we’ll be staying here for sure. Don’t miss the deer who frequently poke around the property. And, do yourself a favor - bring home a bottle of Gene’s well water (straight from the tap). You’ll miss it once you’re gone…

I've enjoyed building this cottage as well. I'm a professional pilot and own an internet marketing agency and hosted meditation retreats for years. Mary and I love to bike, hike, swim, travel and enjoy the beauties of nature, especially in southern Vermont. We are excited to share the peaceful tranquility here with guests.

We love the beauty of the land, with its streaming brooks and green forests. Deer and other wildlife roam freely. We're also close to many picturesque towns and local attractions, hiking trails, and ski mountains and water activities.

This is a place where people can relax and be close to nature in a house designed by a Vermont artisan, with the sound of the flowing creek closeby and can enjoy dipping into the cool waters. We are closeby many destination towns with plentiful attractions, boutique stores, great restaurants and Mt Snow is just 20 minutes away.
