It could use a comfy couch in the LR but overall, everything was great! I loved the chairs by the front window for reading. The screened porch was my favorite place for coffee and lunch. The hot tub was wonderful at night with the breeze.

Thank you Taylor for your review and for understanding that by the end of the season it's about time for a deep clean on many of our popular homes such as this one. While our housekeeping team does a great job on check-in and check-out days, we do advise our guests to bring cleaning supplies with them in order to ensure they can keep the home clean during their stay since a few hours on turn over days isn't always sufficient. It sounds like you did just that and we appreciate it very much!

Blue Skies at the Blue Moon!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Moon in Corolla. The beach, activities, and shopping are in close proximity to the house. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and cooking items. All appliances worked well and the air conditioning worked well. One upgrade that we would suggest would be to replace the twin mattresses. We saw that a screen was out on the porch and it was fixed within a couple hours of us arriving after notifying the office. A great week at the OBX...as usual!

Good week in Corolla

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of four had an enjoyable week in Corolla. The beach in Crown Point was clean and spacious. Blue Moon was fine enough for a week long trip. The house is dated and the bedroom level is dark and narrow - but the upstairs area with the kitchen and wrap around deck were nicer. Note: Crown Point is located near some kind of sewage treatment facility. The smell is very strong when you enter the community but it is not too noticeable at the house or at the beach.

Reviewer Comments: Nice home in perfect location.. nice neighborhood walking distance to a beautiful beach and across the street from Timbuck 2 shopping center. Landscaping and yard clean up needs to be done around the house. A couple of the screens on the back porch need to be replaced. The pantry door in the kitchen needs to be repaired. The house was not clean when we arrived. This house has everything that you will need in the kitchen. There are bicycles and beach chairs in the garage storage area.

Reviewer Comments: The house was as described and I would have thought that they would have listened to the other reviews about the kitchen wares needing some major replacing, upgrading and refreshing. There were no real pans to use to cook so had to use the bottom of large pots. No real cutting boards and just had drawers full of odds and ends. I guess they aren't encouraging cooking at the house. The charcoal grill just had tall overgrown grass around it and seemed pretty unusable. They did provide bikes which my son used daily which was nice. Outdoor shower worked well but could have used or had a hose to attached to the water spout outside too to rinse off our feet and our little dog. Master bathroom definitely needs to be updated with the lowest sink and toilet I've seen. We did get bug bites and reported it to property management who promptly responded and sent out pest control immediately. It was nice that the house was just a little walk to the beach and overall met our needs (minus the kitchen wares).There are lots of good restaurants, coffees, and food near by and Harris Teeter just a mile away for groceries.

The house was roomy but needs updating. All the mattresses need replacing, as well as the sofa, and pots and pans. The house could use a good cleaning. The master has mold all over the shower/tub walls in master. We reported the issue with the dirty hot tub which they addressed 2 days later.

Just Okay

The location of the house was the best part of the house. Everything else was severely lacking. The house looked clean on first look but when you looked more it was very dirty. There was cob webs every where, it didn’t look like it had been dusted in a long time. The carpet on the stairs was disgusting, you walk on it too much the bottom of your feet will get black. There was a table on the back porch that was never cleaned and was stained. We didn’t even end up using it. We have stayed at beach houses in the past and we would at least get the essentials. Such as salt/pepper, seasonings, oil, paper towels, good quality toilet paper. Not the kind that feels like tissue paper. We paid extra for linens and towels and that was a terrible decision. You got one towel and wash cloth, they didn’t give you any dish towels. The quality of the towels and sheets was severely lacking. You get better quality at a hotel. The bedding needs serious updating, our comforter did not even fit our bed. The bedding had stains on them. The furniture had not been cleaned in quite a while, stains and food crumbs underneath the cushions. We had a nine month old that crawled on the floors and she found food crumbs and her hands and knees were disgusting. Over all we were not impressed with this house.

Excellent option for ocean lovers!

Lovely neighborhood and very close to the beach allowing several trips there per day. Open living space and decks provide many places to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Corolla Beach house June 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this house was ideal and the space fit our needs however the house was very dirty. Upon arrival you could smell cleaner but I have no idea what was cleaned. My daughter's feet were black from walking on the floors after only being there for half a day. The fan in the queen bedroom was covered in dust and the bathroom in the hall way did not appear clean as in the toilet had stains (before use) and there were dead bugs all over. There were multiple cobwebs in corners on the house with dead bugs as well. As if the place hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time. We did call the property manager within 24 hours and it took us a few times to get through. They did send another cleaning crew out to clean but due to a language barrier what needed to be done was not fully done.The dishes had food stuck to them and we needed to clean everything ourselves before first use. That included the coffee pot, main dishware and the skillets.The decks were a very nice feature of this house and we did use those a lot. But along side the hot tub there were used band aides that were not cleaned up from a previous stay and there were multiple beer cans throughout the yard that were not ours and left from a previous renter. The basketball hoop was also ripped down and left in the yard. The furniture on the main floor was dirty and stained but the beds did have clean sheets and were at least comfortable to sleep in. It is a real shame that this house is so neglected because Corolla is a great area and the community it is in is very quiet and nice. The proximity to the beach is amazing. But we will not choose this house again if we come back.

Another Wonderful Stay at Blue Moon

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again, we had a very relaxing week at Blue Moon in Corolla - just the tonic after the crazy holiday season! We took full advantage of the hot tub and fireplace, and the proximity to the beach is great, especially for our dogs who love their daily walks there! We look forward to this getaway every year, and we hope to be back once again next year.

Not my greatest vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was old and outdated. The carpets were soiled in several areas. The ceiling finishes on the top floor were falling several times and needed to be cleaned. The closet doors were old and inopearable in the bedrooms. The shades were old and dusty. Very poor landscaping. I am very displeased and would not have paid them in full. I don't believe the realitor even checks the place for their visitors. I will not go to them again. Should have gone to Twiddy.

Great Home for Smaller Families

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Blue Moon is the perfect choice for smaller families. The great room/kitchen/dining area is open and inviting. Just a quick walk to the beach and, most importantly for us, dogs are welcomed.
