The house was perfect for our family group of 6 adults and 2 young children. The house itself is well-appointed, good location for getting to Stowe and surrounding area.
This home is beautiful inside and out and the views and location were amazing! Our family throughly enjoyed every aspect of this home from the kitchen living space, deck, basement/game room as well as the bedsâŠ.so comfortable!
I definitely would stay here again and have recommended it to my friends and family!
Thanks Tom!
Even better than the pictures! Spacious and new with fabulous views. Convenient to fun things to do. Generously supplied with all your needs. Comfortable and quiet for rest and rejuvenation. Host was very available for easy communication. We hated to leave!
The four of us loved staying at this wonderful property. The house is very spacious, very clean and well furnished. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen while looking out the window at Camel's Hump. The location is private and well located for trips to Waterbury and Stowe. Tom, the owner, was easy to contact and he was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
We couldnât have been happier with our stay! The home was gorgeous with incredible mountain views. It came well stocked with everything we needed. Tom was very responsive. Thanks for the great stay, weâll be back!
We had a terrific stay - the house is amazing! Clean, large and so pretty. It had everything we all needed and more. We enjoyed the games, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The views were spectacular - at sunset and in the morning. Communication with the host was seamless and timely. We hope to stay here again.
Stayed for a week with adult college kids on spring break. Property was beautiful and relaxing with lots of entertainment options.
Property was really convenient to Stowe. We had a great time skiing and eating at local restaurants and sampling beer at several awesome breweries nearby. Would stay again for sure!
The house was the perfect size for a group of friends on a weekend skiing trip. Clean, easy to access, close to a few different mountains. Would rent again for sure!
We had the best time staying here! Itâs an amazing house with all the amenities. Extremely clean with plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy. Tom was a great host! Very responsive and super helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
We loved our stay here. The house was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved the games in the basement. Tom was very quick to respond when we contacted him. If we are ever up in that area we would definitely stay there again!
The house is cozy, clean, and welcoming. There are views from every room. The beds are super comfortable, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The location is perfectly situated between Waterbury and Stowe Village, and only about 30 minutes from Mount Mansfield. The homeowner is very responsive, which is always appreciated. We will be back!!
This property had all the comforts wanted after spending the day hiking. Centrally located to Camel's Hump state park, Mt Mansfield, and Smugglers Notch state park. The comfortable bed and couch was welcomed so we recovered enough for the next day of hiking. Tom quickly responded to questions and concerns! Would definitely stay here again!
Remember when the private vacation home rental industry began? Amazing properties providing what was advertised at good rates? Well, I thought those days were gone. I thought the market was saturated with owners who wanted in for some big money that was rarely reinvested in keeping up their properties. They kept making money and I was more often than not led down a path of misrepresentation. Worn furniture, lackluster cleaning practices, broken amenitiesâŠ..
Not so with this property! Itâs exactly as advertised. Large, bright, clean, well cared for.
Contact with the owner was fast and easy.
The location was perfect for a week throughout the state.
Iâm looking forward to returning soon.
Despite the cons below, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again should we return to the area. Pros: 1. The house is beautiful with a good layout (game room in basement, bedrooms on the 2nd floor) and amazing views. 2. Having the garage is great. 3. Check in and checkout were really easy. 4. The washer and dryer are giant, which was super helpful. 5. Detergent, soap, shampoo/conditioner, paper goods were provided. 6. Location is serene (4WD is really helpful for snow/mud getting to the house).Cons: 1. The house wasn't clean when we arrived - fridge/freezer had dried food, blankets smelled of perfume (so not clean), crumbs on surfaces, etc. To be fair, I didn't tell Tom about the cleanliness until after our stay. And once I re-cleaned the house, it was great - beautiful and relaxing.2. Tom was not always super responsive. Even before we arrived, questions had to be asked twice or just went unanswered. 3. The house was missing some basic things. When we arrived, a smoke detector was beeping. There were no replacement batteries. The power went out for a few hours (into the evening) one night and there were no candles or flashlights. There are not enough bathroom hooks, no extra hand towels, no toilet plunger, etc, but none of these are major items or negatively impacted our stay.4. Kitchen cookware was all teflon and all badly scratched.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The home was perfect for our extended family to all stay together, but still have our own spaces. The location was centrally located to visit several different ski resorts many local towns (and Ben & Jerry's!). We spent a lot of time enjoying the game room with air hockey and ski-ball tournaments and some heated scrabble battles. The communication with the host was perfect.
We had an excellent stay! The house is beautiful, very clean, and well appointed â and has an amazing view of the mountains! It was a great stay and we highly recommend!
If the movie is about a family who stays in a magical home watching the snow fall on Thanksgiving. There was no flannel worn and no local love interest for me, since that would probably be frowned upon by family.
What we did get were spectacular views, a responsive host, and a heated garage. We drove to Montreal for the day, explored Green Mountain National Forest, and toured Ben and Jerry's.
The house is nestled on a very quiet street but is close to amenities like a grocery store and gas stations.
The decor is a mix between Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. Linens are provided, beds are comfy, and the fireplaces make each level very cozy.
We spent time in the basement playing skee-ball. There are puzzles and games to entertain you, as well.
We enjoyed every moment at this house. Thanks, Tom, for providing the quintessential Vermont vacation home.
We had three generations staying here and there house was perfect. Plenty to do, lots of space, plus a great little office nook for those of us who need to do a bit of work while on holiday. Already planning our next trip.
