Location great, suited our group size very well
This large family wedding was very creative and chose to use all alternative settings for their wedding and reception. This is fine but does create a different game plan for my way of preparing for the wedding. This was the 4th wedding group in a roll with only one day out of 14 when people were not staying in both the main house & the Stone Barn. This group originally booked to arrive the day after the last one left. I agreed to accept the day early entry which of course made for an almost impossible turnaround of 9 beds in the house , 5 in the barn and 7 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, etc, to clean in a handful of hours as well as the garden and acreage and lawns. So in the future I will not put myself in such a position of not being fully ready. The Irish family were truly delightful people. They put in an incredible effort and created such an amazing event for their lovely couple's wedding.
Peggy’s property was perfect for our wedding. It was classy, rustic, and perfect views in every direction. Peggy was kind, helpful, and encouraging all weekend long. She provided some decor and was encouraging with design ideas. She keeps the place immaculate and picture perfect. We hope to visit again soon! Highly recommend!!
Thank you so much for choosing the Stone Tower Estate. It was truly a delight to meet you and your whole group. So happy that you liked this special spot of Montana. You added your own special touch to it!
A Spectacular and Special place
The Stone tower house and property is the beauty one hopes for when going to Montana.
Thank you, John for visiting Montana and the Stone Tower Estate and for being
such great guests. I really enjoyed having you all stay here.
The best decision we made for the wedding!
The Stone Tower venue was absolutely stunning. It awed all of our guests and made them feel like they were in a fairytale. Peggy (the owner) is the hardest working person I've ever met. I woke up at 630am the morning of the wedding and saw her working away in the garden and tucking things away to make everything picture perfect. She was so flexible and understanding about what we wanted to move or set up. We had some of our family stay with us in the house and barn and it was perfect. It sleeps like a ski house so we just gave everyone that heads up that there were only two rooms with doors but no one minded at all. We had our rehearsal dinner in the house and the space worked perfectly. The only thing complaints from the 4 days we spent there was that the barn was hot upstairs even with the windows open at night and the house was hot during dinner. Which really wasn't a big deal. We had around 75 guests at the wedding and it was perfect. It wasn't crowded and it wasn't empty. There was plenty of room for people to move around. We used the first two horse stalls that are opened up for the buffet and pie table. We held cocktail hour and dancing outside of the barn. We couldn't have picked a better venue and we made so many memories there with out family. Peggy even let us pick the raspberries and cherries that filled the property. We sat out the deck and watched the stars every night. It was all too amazing. It was a dream and Peggy works every day to find ways to make it even more accommodating even though it's already too perfect. And any questions you have, she has the answers.
Thank you so much, you and your guest were so great to have here at the Stone Tower Estate. Really my pleasure to be a part of it. I do have air conditioning for both buildings. Very sorry that I didn't show you how to start it up.
Thank you for leaving it all so good too. Come pick more Raspberries any time.
What a spectacular wedding venue!
The Stone Tower Estate was the venue of choice of my daughter and her fiancé a year in advance. In fact, they scouted multiple venues in the Bitteroot/Missoula area, but when they first visited Peggy at her beautiful stone tower home, they were sold. It was the perfect place for them to start their married life together! The bride and groom communicated with Peggy multiple times during the year, and received much appreciated updates on any improvements made to the venue. She was a dream to work with.
We rented the entire venue, including the house and the loft over the barn, and everything was in perfect shape when we arrived the afternoon before the wedding. All accommodations were comfortable and well appointed. The rehearsal dinner for approximately 50 people was held in the barn, and the kids enjoyed outdoor games, visiting the horses and hunting arrowheads (long story, there!)
The morning of the wedding was glorious, but as the day wore on, those big Montana thunderheads rolled through. By the time for the ceremony, the most threatening thunderhead of the day split in two and slid by on either side of the garden ceremony site. It was perfect, and dramatic and hopefully made for some awesome photos!
Peggy has done a tremendous amount of work on the barn and the outdoor patio to make it as inviting and functional for any type of wedding you can imagine. You can go rustic, shabby chic, western or even vintage and have a truly unique wedding. You can bring in as many decorations as you desire, or as few as you want as the garden landscaping, combined with the stone arch and the panoramic view make for a spectacular ceremony location. As the mother of the bride, I received awestruck comments by relatives making their first visit to Montana who had a hard time believing the Stone Tower existed -- I'm not kidding! They were very impressed.
We were fortunate to research vendors who had worked with Peggy at the Stone Tower previously, as they were well-prepared with their arrangements.
I highly recommend offering a bus service for guests from Missoula, which we did, as it is about a 50 minute drive down the Bitteroot Valley to Stevensville and then 15 minutes or so winding up the hill and going the last couple miles on an unpaved, although well-maintained, dirt road. Guests really don't need to drive themselves back to Missoula at midnight.
Thank you, Peggy for everything you did to make this a memorable and joyous occasion!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Your family , as well as the groom's were pure delight to work with. Make me feel so lucky to be a part of your wonderful day. Hope to see you all again.
Our younger daughter and her fiancé chose the Stone Tower Estate for their wedding and reception. The venue is even more beautiful than the photos would indicate. Most of the wedding party spent the weekend at the estate. Peggy was a welcoming, generous, and charming host. She obviously works very hard to keep the grounds in excellent condition. We had lots of time to set up for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and the wedding and reception the next day. The estate offers many amenities, including tables, chairs, linens, and some decorations. Our guests were delighted with the experience, and found the house, barn, and views absolutely stunning. With Peggy's assistance everything went very smoothly. Everyone was happy and had a great time. It was a delightful experience. We definitely recommend this venue.
Many thanks for choosing the Stone Tower estate. People like you and your wonderful family make my job a happy one and I am honored to get to know you! Peggy
