One of Palm Springs' most iconic properties, Tiki House Palm Springs is a mid-century modern 1970's style house that was built in 1961 by famed architect William Kreisel. Designed by Tracy Turco, the house has been seen in Dwell and Atomic Ranch magazines, as well as on various tv shows. A stylized retro gem, the house is a must for any tiki enthusiast. Evoking a bygone era of whimsy and charm, there's no better place to sip an exotic cocktail, kick back and give in to the tiki vacation gods.
Our lovingly restored, classic tiki house is a burst of eye-popping burnt orange, accompanied by a dash of chocolate, a squeeze of lemon yellow and some maraschino cherry on top.
Featuring three bedrooms inside the main house, additional space in the casita, and plenty of outdoor space, you will have several photo opportunities in one of the most unique properties in all of Palm Springs. The home is located in the Little Tuscany neighborhood and is a relaxing space that includes a secluded backyard, complete with heated pool & spa, outdoor dining area, and several chaise lounges overlooking the mountains.
The home was impeccably remodeled by famed Palm Springs designer Tracy Turco and features period furnishings & fixtures (including some originals), along with updated appliances and many features that make your stay comfortable and convenient. The bright and colorful living room has plenty of windows, a gas fireplace, flat screen SmartTV and plenty of comfortable seating for your group to relax and unwind in.
The living room opens to the fabulous dining area and kitchen, featuring new stainless steel appliances and plenty of countertop space for you to create that perfect meal. The entire living and dining room area has windows and glass doors opening out to the breezeway. This area separates the main house and the casita, features a BBQ grill, and leads to our lush backyard. A tiki wonderland, the backyard area features a covered dining table perfect for al-fresco meals under the desert sky amid several tiki torches.
Our three bedrooms are inviting and unique. The primary bedroom contains a King-size bed, en-suite bathroom and dedicated workspace. This bedroom has a sliding glass door leading directly to the backyard. The secondary bedroom features a King-size bed, en-suite bathroom, and sliding glass door leading directly to the backyard. The third bedroom features a Queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom, direct access to the backyard, and a Smart TV. The private casita has additional sleeping on a sleeper sofa, en-suite bathroom and SmartTV. There's also a laundry room in the casita.
The tiki-inspired aesthetic of our landscaped outdoor area really steals the show, offering privacy and stunning views of the mountains in either direction. Several comfy chaise lounges & chairs, tiki torches, outdoor dining table and plenty of additional seating allow you to relax and re-energize under the stars.
Additional amenities that youâll enjoy are complimentary ultra fast WiFi throughout the house, three SmartTVs, a washer/dryer, stainless steel appliances, driveway parking, and complimentary toiletries in every bathroom.
Our tiki house is the ideal desert retreat, with nearby activities for all seasons. We hope you enjoy and make it your own special themed oasis!
Youâre renting the entire house and outdoor area. Make yourself at home, as everything is yours to enjoy exclusively!
Our property is professionally managed by a full service vacation rental agency, so your trip will be worry-free from beginning to end. We will take care of everything from hosted check-in to departure, and will be available for anything you need along the way. We are also available to handle any special or a-la-carte requests, including pre-arrival grocery shopping and arrangement of transportation and/or tours.
CITY OF PALM SPRINGS REGULATIONS & RENTAL RULES
(we don't make the rules, but we do follow them!)

**No parties or large social gatherings of any kind are permitted at this location!**
Neighbors have been notified that this property is a vacation rental and are encouraged to call a hotline to dispatch authorities to investigate any disturbances. If the city issues a violation, guest will be responsible for payment of any fine(s) and may be evicted with no refund.
- Minimum age for primary renting guest is 25.
- Daytime occupancy is 12 people.
- Overnight occupancy is 8 people.
- Maximum of 4 vehicles allowed.
- The City imposes a strict noise ordinance for vacation rentals. No music is allowed outside at any time, including music coming from inside that can be heard at the property line, and no noise at all is allowed outside after 10pm.
- The City requires a signed written contract for all guests, as well as a copy of the primary renter's government ID. This will be taken care of during check-in.
- The City requires each guest to pay an 11.5% Transient Occupancy Tax and a 1% Tourism Business Improvement District assessment for stays less than 28 days. If your stay is 28 days or more, taxes do not need to be paid.
- Enjoy the outdoors of the property, but please keep children from trampling our beautiful landscaping.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
- Check-in time is 4PM, and check-out is promptly by 11AM.
- Our onsite greeter will meet you at the home and give you a tour.
- Late check-outs without prior approval with incur a $250 fee, as we need time to get the house ready for the next guest.
PETS
- Pets are allowed (2 pets max, under 25 lbs), with a fee of $100 per pet. Pets must be approved and fee paid prior to check-in. Any signs of pets on the property without our knowledge will incur an additional $500 fee.
POOL HEATING
- Optional pool heating is recommended from October to April for an additional fee of $75 per day (includes spa heat).
- The pool heat must be turned on for the duration of your stay.
- Spa heat only is $25/day.
ELECTRICITY SURCHARGE (JUNE-SEPT A/C)
- For stays 28 nights or longer, guest is responsible for electric bill during the summer months. Expense is not included in the reservation. We require a $1,000/mo deposit in advance of your stay. After checkout, if electric bill is lower than the $1,000 deposit amount, the difference will be refunded to you.
CLEANING
Final cleaning after your checkout is included in your reservation quote. For stays longer than 6 weeks, guest will be responsible for the cost of a mid-stay clean every 30 days. Funds for mid-stay cleanings will be collected as they occur.
INSURANCE FEE for Vrbo & Direct Bookings (does not apply to Airbnb bookings)
Guest is responsible for the service fee below, depending on length of stay:
