For those planning to cook or stock up for their getaway, Kroger in Stanton is approximately a 30-minute drive, so picking up groceries on the way in can certainly be convenient. Amazing cabin in a beautiful serene setting. Cabin is custom built with unique detail. We were disappointed with the grill situation - we were not able to use it, as it was filthy inside and falling apart. We had purchased nice steaks and chicken to grill and had to change plans. Hot tub was very nice, cabin was very clean. I would recommend the owners provide more cookware, spray cleaner for kitchen cleanup, and also maybe stock cards and games for rainy days or families. The fire pit and chairs are great, but would recommend stocking a bit of covered firewood, lighters, a flash light, and bug spray. Overall I would recommend the cabin - it is beautiful!

We LOVED the cabin and its private location--both are SUPERB! Our suggestions: (1) Given the cabin's lack of proximity to a grocery store, a few more provided amenities would be greatly appreciated; and(2) The only road to/from the cabin is several miles long and NOT advisable by 2WD vehicle--especially the LONG, STEEP concrete switchback and several of the heavily rutted and steep gravel sections--our front wheel drive Chevy Trax made it, but only with heavy tire/wheel slip (including on the concrete section due to its extreme grade). We would HIGHLY recommend only accessing the cabin with AWD, at a minimum, and ideally 4WD. Beyond those two friendly suggestions, we loved our stay--thanks so much!

Cabin was great for our rest and relaxation stay. It was private and quiet even with other cabins nearby, however the trees shielded us from them. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit area. We did miss the personal touches other homes have with individual ownership/management such as extra towels, games and personal decorations. It is a very nice cabin with basic supplies.

Property was great. Smaller issues include lack of towels (especially kitchen towels) and minor cleaning issues (such as dead bugs by windows). All very minor issues. Would absolutely come back.

5/28/2026 Thank you for surpassing expectations in all ways! "Higher Standards" is an understatement! The home was absolutely beautiful and so well appointed. A lot of attention to detail and super clean. It rained all day everyday so we did not get to hike as planned but because the home was so nice we had an amazing weekend just the 2 of us! My hope is to come back and actually get out and see the area and trails. Thank you again!Mark B.

Cabin is very nice, clean, and comfortable! The walk in showers are great and the porch and hot tub make this a perfect relaxing getaway. The only negative is there are just a couple towels and they are small ones. So make sure you bring a couple with you.

Wonderful Seclusion

This cabin was amazing and just as described in the listing. We were looking for a place “off the grid” yet close to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. This was perfect and the cabin is beautiful. The cabin was very clean with all amenities we needed and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was excellent. We were looking for very remote and we got that. (12 min from main road to cabin) The hot tub was the best of any rental we’ve ever had. We had everything we needed for our stay. I honestly expected it to not be as good as the pictures but it really was just as advertised.

Wonderful

This cabin will give you the true gorge experience. It is at the end of the road, if you want seclusion, this is it. It’s a short drive to most everything, big tv and king size beds in both bedrooms, showers were amazing, huge hot tub and fire pit.

Luxury and seclusion

Had an incredible few days at the higher standards cabin, and it certainly lives up to its name. From the dual master suites with huge walk in showers to the incredible deck and hot tub it was an awesome cabin. The secluded location and rock wall on. One side added to the beauty.

Quiet and Sweet Getaway

Great property and beautiful place. Runs off well water though so bring your bottled water if sulfur smell isn’t your jam while having a beverage. Everything else was wonderful.

Awesome house in Red River Gorge

Long weekend stay with friends. We enjoyed the beautiful house and the peace and quiet of the area. Drive to the house was gravel but the house was worth it. Area food is fantastic!

Hiking trip

My husband and I rented the cabin so we could spend time with our son and his fiance. We loved the cabin and location for hiking the Red River gorge. The food around town was really good. The hottub was really nice after hiking all day. We will definitely rent this cabin again. Hopefully this fall.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin near Red River Gorge! The place was spotless, had everything we needed, and the view was absolutely beautiful—surrounded by peaceful nature. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The showers were huge with plenty of hot water, which was a nice bonus, and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.Just a heads-up for future guests: make sure to secure the outdoor trash—some clever raccoons got into ours! Also, the front door lock was a little tricky, but manageable.Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near RRG.

Wonderful weekend!

We got to town a bit later in the day and it was rainy weather which made for a less than pleasurable drive to the cabin. The written directions were a bit confusing but we finally made it and had a fantastic weekend! The neighbors up from us let us walk to beautiful waterfall!

long winter weekend getaway

Property was wanderful. very clean and had all essentials to stay comfortably. Beautiful Property, quite faily private. A few other cabins within sight but enough space and trees to feel private. Hot tube was very nice. Roads getting to cabin are narrow and have some steep cimbs, we had snow and ice so i was happy we drove our 4x4 truck. i dont see a problem during summer time. Over all a great Property. during driving in during summer.

Nice Place

Great home. Great porch. Great firepit. Just a really first-class “cabin”. Two issues with our stay, though: 1) the VRBO pin drop is totally inaccurate and takes you to a wrong address miles away. You need the emailed directions or you will never find the place. 2) the deadbolt on the front door does not work so the place cannot be locked. Fortunately, the house is very remote so there seems to be little security risk.
