This beautiful townhome is a dream. Located on a hill overlooking the lower village of Stowe, with both a river and a pond view. Relax on the back deck or inside the comfortable living spaces. Close to Stowe Village and 15 minutes to the ski mountain, everything Stowe has to offer is at your fingertips.
This home has three upstairs bedrooms: king with en-suite, two queens with a shared full bathroom, and an upstairs laundry room. Down in the basement is a pool table, TV, couch and another queen mattress. Spread out amongst the two living rooms with a TV, board games and books and enjoy the fully stocked kitchen and dining area. This is one of two units that share a pond, two large lawn spaces and a nice view.
Property was spacious but had a horrible dirt road leading to it. The porch was very dusty. Listing mentions only AC in the bedrooms which I missed so it was pretty hot on the main floor and basement. Itâs a dated house with holes in the walls and ceilings. Also there was dust in every corner. Cleaning staff not doing a good enough job. Maybe itâs more suited to a winter stay than summertime.
Our family of 4 (kids age 6 and 8) enjoyed 8 nights at this great townhome. It was very clean and exactly as pictured in the photos. The location was perfect for exploring Stowe, Waterbury, and even a day trip to Lake Champlain. The beds were comfortable, soft sheets and a clean duvet cover, and there was dish soap, dishwasher pellets, laundry detergent, and soaps in the bathrooms. The air conditioners were free standing room units but they kept the rooms cool on the hottest days. Great communication with the hosts. We would definitely stay again!
We have stayed in Stowe the last 3 years after Christmas and this was the best rental through VRBO yet! Great for family, excellent communication when I had questions, so clean, plenty of towels and linens provided, ample parking for the 3 allotted cars, great neighborhood-we look forward to booking again for next year. Thank you to Blake and Becca!
This townhome was very clean and has huge rooms. The host graciously left a big box of pastries and some local coffee for us. He was a great communicator, and check in and check out were clear and easy. The townhome is a couple of miles from downtown Stowe, private, quiet, with beautiful misty mornings in October. It's in a great location for mountain drives, great food in Stowe and Waterbury, shopping, and cider tasting!
The fourth bedroom downstairs is not a true bedroom. The bed is at one end of the family/game room. No closet or bath - as the photos show and description states. There are no windows downstairs, just a door, and even in October it was warm for sleeping. We didn't want to leave the door open as the screen door doesn't lock and it is bear country.
The beds have foam toppers, which are very uncomfortable for me.
The shower tub is slippery. There is a mat for it, but it was at the back of the bathroom closet, so we did not find it until the morning that we checked out.
The townhome is minimally decorated, and kitchen stock is meh, which was okay since we didn't spend a lot of time there. No red or white wine glasses, only champagne flutes, no ice maker in the fridge, needs a new drip coffee pot - the current one just keeps dripping and gurgling for hours and doesn't finish making coffee. No makeup cloths, but plenty of medium grade towels. TV was Roku, and we could not get any NFL games for free.
