Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year staying at Goat Island house. Love the exclusivity of being on an island yet near the marina and restaurants. The boat is always in the water and ready to go at a moments notice. By the way, there is good depth of water at the float dock at low tide so exiting at anytime is a good thing. From our dock, we travel the ICW north and did some great fishing in Bulls Bay or traveled south to Charleston Harbor and Shem Creek for dinner. Priceless!!

First time Gost Island experience.

It is a beautiful home .We recommend bringing some more towels as there were only a few .we thoroughly enjoyed the dock and the screened in porch. The cleaning at the house could have been better. Dirty footprints in the bath tub and dirty wet blankets left in the washing machine started to sower causing a smell throughout. This would not stop us from renting again. The house is in the perfect location for taking trips to the islands by boat. Great memories with our children.

The dock and it's design remind us of our old home where I raised my children, on the south side of town, Stono River. For the 2nd year, we have celebrated my son's birthday there. We alert our friends of where we will be, and so many stop by throughout the week and say Hi! These familiar fishing waters allow my son and his friends to jump on the boat anytime to go fishing. It is dreamy in that regard! We hope to come back!

Spent every evening on the covered dock and nights enjoying the spacious screened in porch. Floating dock was perfect for our 21' boat and we made regular day trips up and down the ICW, and to the marina store across the way. Cooper made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond with questions about check in/check out, etc. Will definitely be back!

Amazing, relaxing stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Admittedly, at first I wasn't sure this experience would be a good one. The rental company provided little insight as to what accommodations the home provided. Does it have linens? "Yes, I think so." Does the grill come with a full propane tank? "Yes, I think so." Will the key be at the location or do we pick it up? "Oh, it should be at the house somewhere." If I were paying a company to host my listing I'd expect them to know these answers, BUT that is where the negatives end for this stay. The cleaner/property manager Marshall was fantastic and accommodating and ensured we were taken care of by checking in throughout the week. The convenience of the location being right across from the marina was paramount due to all of the essentials we had to lug via boat. The views are spectacular and the home is well accommodated and comfortable. We even rode out a tropical storm! The dock is obviously where we spent most of our time day and night. Being from Charleston I knew Goat Island would be a great "staycation" spot to be close to home yet feel hundreds of miles away. We will definitely be spending vacations here from now on!

Our 'stay-cation' at 3825 Goat Island House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE had a wonderful family 'stay-cation' at Goat Island House. I found the house to be very comfortable and accommodating. Some couches and bedding had been updated since the photos were taken, so it looked even better in person. Cooper at Island Realty made this stay wonderful for us. From the start, he was accessible and answered my questions about the house. I did not want to get over there and have to keep going to the store, so knowing what was in the house ( towels, supplies, etc) was very important to me. He took all my calls and became a most helpful part of our week's success. He was wonderful. I do have a few suggestions for the house:- the kitchen cabinets do not have knobs and the drawers do not have pulls, so that was a bit frustrating.-saw quite a few cockroaches and spiders, but we were in the woods, in the south. Quite a few spider webs inside the porch.-had a raccoon trying to get into the screen porch every night, so maybe a stronger screen door?I know we are in the south, and against the water on a very wooded lot, so some of this is to be expected.We will certainly hope to visit again next year. My family had a wonderful time!
