It was all terrific. There was one issue with the apartment on the last night but they responded promptly and while it could not be fixed because of the holiday they were attentive and apologetic.
My husband and I stayed here with another couple for the weekend and this apartment could NOT have been better. It was spacious, clean, updated, and the most amazing location to walk around Portland. The communication was timely and informative. They even had coffee and k-cups available, which was so nice! Would absolutely look to stay here again.
We LOVED our stay here! It is located in the perfect area of Old Port, right in the middle of everything. We parked our car and walked to everywhere. It is a super clean and cute apartment, which made for a fantastic getaway. Our host was just as wonderful. Thank you!!!
This apartment was really nicely appointed. Fairly easy to find. Parking is a bit tricky. plan on using the pay parking lot next door. Since this is right downtown, everything is within a short walking distance, but Friday night was a bit loud (for us fair-weather sleepers).
Communication with the host was great! All in all, I would recommend this place.
Great apartment. We had to fuss with the window ACs a bit but got them working. The only annoying thing was the parking. The easy parking was very expensive. We found a reasonable lot though a walk away.
For a friendsâ stay in Portland with no car this was an excellent location and literally just a street away from the Old Port area. The unit was on a secured floor, and on upper floor which was great for light, view and quiet. The elevator was an unusual find in this part of town. Pictures were accurate and good perspective on unit; place was âas advertisedâ. Kitchen was fine for brief stay and very clean, but would be spare for cooking whole meals. Beds were comfortable, as were the linens. Extremely convenient to lots of shops and restaurants, bars.
It was our annual girlsâ trip: 4 ladies in early 50sâŠ
The pros:
âGREAT location, can walk to all attractions, restaurants and cute boutiques/shops.
âExcellent communication with host. Instructions were clear and understandable.
âKitchen stocked with more than enough dish ware, silverware, cookware
âBuildingâs laundry room easily accessibleâdid not have to pay & plenty of machines
â2 minute walk to STANDARD BAKERYâwe had breakfast pastries from there every day
The cons:
âNearby businesses had loud music until 12pm on Friday & Saturday nights. So if youâre a light sleeperâbring earplugs or sleep in the living roomâwhich one of us had to do. It was quiet our first & last nights (Thursday & Sunday).
âWe had to install one of the window AC units ourselves, and the parts are not measured to fit the window sill properly, so we had to âjerry-rigâ it with a hand towel to make it work.
âThe Fore Street parking garage was expensive at $60/day. My friend parked at the Cumberland County Courthouse parking garage, which is at $30/day & 10 minute walk. We did have to exit & re-enter each day with that garage, even if we spent the entire day in Portland.
Nonetheless, this property was still reasonably priced compared to area lodging. Would definitely re-book with earplugs:noise cancelling headphones packed in suitcase.
Every holiday, my brother and his wife and I go to visit friends in Portland. This is a perfect two bedroom condo that has all the amenities in terms of a fully stocked kitchen and the most comfortable beds and pillows. Itâs very clean and beautifully decorated. The key is also the LOCATION! This place is in the heart of the Old Port so once you park your car, you can walk to some of the nicest shops and best restaurants. Erika, our property manager, answered all of my questions quickly . One recommendation is do not park at the Fore Street garage. Instead go one block over and valet it at the Portland Regency. You can go in and out and itâs $30 a day which is better than $55 a day at the garage.
This is one of the best vrboâs Iâve ever stayed at! Communication was excellent and it had everything we needed. Location was perfect! Def a must stay!
