Beautiful cabin up I'm the mountains! Our stay was peaceful and perfect. We would definitely stay again. Only thing I would add to take note is that you do have to carry out your own trash (you are allowed to leave one bag if leaving on Sunday) as you are in bear country. Not a huge issue but just be aware that the trash deposit in town has specific hours and not open every day.
Very comfortable sofas, beds, and outdoor porch seating.
We totally enjoyed our stay. Itâs a short drive to shopping and restaurants in Waynesville,
I miss being there.
House was exactly as advertised and could not have been more perfect for our girls trip! In the woods enough to feel secluded, but 5 minutes to town. It was wonderful!
We were fortunate on the location of this home for an overflow house for a family reunion. Very homey feel, very comfortable bedding and very clean. Great porch!! Great meeting place!! Great memories!! Thank you for the hospitality
The house was clean and well equipped. Nice porch, but not much of a view this time of year. We did see three wild turkeys in the backyard. Kinda neat. Did not like the "lady" loudly announcing each time a door was opened. Should be a way to turn her off. The location is very convenient to stores and places to eat. And Walmart is close!
Our stay at the Mountain Retreat was very nice. Very quiet, like we like, yet convenient to all of the mountain towns we like to visit (Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Brevard); loved the porch. Tracy is a great host! Our only dislikes were that the water pressure in the upstairs bathroom is not good and it was inconvenient to have to take our trash off site to the town waste disposal, which was closed on Labor Day.
