One of 16 unique apartments in a beautiful spot at a historic site built in 1925. Located in the lovely Trinity park neighborhood just steps away from downtown and right across from Duke University east campus, making this the perfect place for the complete Durham experience.

Please note: Due to the historic nature of the building you may hear some noise

Our comfortable studio features a plush king sized bed, relaxing sitting area with a sofa, private bathroom with tub, work desk, and a Roku TV for streaming.

Location and comfort

We loved our stay very centrally located. Very comfortable and peaceful. The bed was very very comfortable. Just an a+ stay for us both. Property management was very helpful and caring. Would definitely recommend 5 stars

Responsive host

We enjoyed our stay. The host answered our call and resolved our issue promptly. We did not realize we would be walking up 3 flights of stairs with our luggage. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, linens were nice and there was coffee and a hair dryer,

Great weekend stay

I had a great relaxing stay at this location. The room was decorated beautifully, lots of space, comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, high speed Internet and great streaming. The location also seemed central to a variety of restaurants and across the street from Duke University. Did not get any responses to my questions in the VRBO app chat so luckily I had no emergencies.

Property and room are as shown and stated. Easy access to parking and room. Host was very quick to respond to inquiries regarding check in procedures and WiFi passkey.

Cute getaway

Very nice and private. I enjoyed the natural light and the overall set up. One thing is my partner just had knee replacement surgery five months ago so the stairs were difficult. The elevator being out of service was the only bad thing about this place. I highly recommend and I will be booking again in the future

Do not stay here!!

I chose this property due to its proximity, historic appeal, tastefully decorated room and the 13 outstanding ratings. It’s all BUT this! To begin, I had trouble getting in touch with the host- I called and he would forward my call to voicemail and failed to return my calls. When making reservations, we are required to type an email address; he did not acknowledge the proper address and my check in notification was never received. Thanks to VRBO rep, this was discovered. I went into the account but had two rooms assigned to me!! I actually stood and input security code while standing at someone else’s room!! The building looks as if it should be condemned. There was trash littered around the outside, the stairs were filthy and there were stains on the walls and comforter! I didn’t feel clean after showing because I stood in water over my ankles! The air conditioning is a portable unit in the middle of the room with a vent hose out the window that was closed in with cardboard and duct tape! Damaged paint, construction debris in the hallway and mold in the shower! This feels like a scam! I have photos but VRBO site does allow this option.

Nice stay

Huge room, nice bathroom. The room had a little fridge and keurig. Very convenient. The bed was a little tired but not horrible. Cute decor. I think it should be mentioned that the place is a walk up 3 stairs. I had been sick and just recovered and it was killer for me. If you’re older or out of shape it might be hard on you. Other than that, we had no complaints at all.
