How would you like to have a lake to yourself to enjoy for a few days to escape the business on life? Take the long winding driveway through the trees, along the lake and back to a private secluded home surrounded by nature and with its very own exclusive lake. It is a spring fed lake that offers outstanding fishing, with bass, crappy, bluegill and pike just waiting to take the bait. There is a small sandy beach area perfect for kids to play at and other areas with many frogs and other interesting things to catch. The portable swim raft is great for swimming off of and there is a canoe, paddle boat and kayak available for use as well. The greatest attributes of this destination are the scenic views and experiences with nature and wildlife. The lake house, though it's nothing too fancy, will provide a comfortable and relaxing accommodation for your stay. The home has a master bedroom with a queen size bed and is directly connected to the bathroom which is also accessible to the hallway. The secondary bedroom has a bunk bed with 2 full beds and a twin trundle. There are extra sleeping arrangements in the living room with a pullout queen bed in the sectional coach. The kitchen is spacious and provides all the essentials for cooking and baking with a full size fridge, microwave and electric stove. The dining area is next to the kitchen and looking out to the lake. The living room has lots of seating and currently has a TV, DVD player and a collection of movies to choose from. There is a large deck that is perfect for relaxing and taking in the views of the lake during the day, and is surrounded by string lights to hang out and enjoy the sounds of nature at night. There is a propane grill that is available to be used as well. The 14 acre property also features some walking trails to explore.
This is the 3rd year we've stayed at this lake house. We absolutely love it. We enjoy fishing, going on walks and hanging out on the deck. Kids and dogs love running around and there's so much to see.
The property was older but overall well kept and clean. The bathroom was updated which is the most important part to be so that was great. We had a great time and enjoyed the privacy and the wonderful outdoor space. Also I was happily surprised at the minimum bugs and things of that nature. We plan to return.
Very peaceful and beautiful setting to get away for some quiet time in nature. Lots of wildlife to be seen.Place was clean, beds very comfy with top of the line bedding. Just wish we could have opened windows to enjoy the fresh air and sounds of nature. Fishing was great. Would probably not stay during the heat of summer as I don't think we would swim in the lake as it is very mucky and weedy. Had a great time kayaking as well.
The privacy of this property is the best part. There were plenty of linens, pillows, towels, seating, water toys (canoes, kayak, paddle boat, sand toys), firewood, and cooking/baking tools available for use. Communication with the property owner was easy and they were quick to respond. My only issue with the property was the lake was not good to swim in, unless you went out to the middle of it. The board to dive off of was stuck in some muck by the shore so we had to use the paddle boat to go out to the middle of the lake, climb in and out of it, and chase it down when we were ready to get out because we couldn't necessarily anchor it.
Fun water stuff on your private lake!Private - saw no one except family for 2 days!Nature - saw deer, birds, fish, water snake (so cool! Only 20 inch, not poisonous, ran away but stayed close by!) turtle (my daughter caught it!)dam for a muskrat? (my kids saw it, i didn't)2 tree frogs at night on out side of windows eating bugs.It is not a 5 star hotel. You may see an ant walking inside every now and then. You might need to set up the fans to keep the air-conditioning moving into the extra bedroom, but this place is so awesome! I jogged the trails! My kids and I will remember this place and we would come back!
Love this place. This is the second year in a row we've stayed at the lake house. We all love it there. So much to do outdoors, there's something for everyone to enjoy! Ww plan on returning again next year :)
We really enjoyed the privacy and beauty of this place. My boys loved fishing in the lake and taking out the boats. The property is listed as having Wi-Fi but it does not have it. That wasnât a huge problem. The house was nice, clean, and comfortable. The owners were kind and quick to answer questions.
Close to Lake Gage and Lake James. My boys decided not to hit the big lakes for three full days because of the excitement at this cabin. This is a private, secluded, haven. The wildlife and nature here are thriving. Other than fireworks, all we could hear was nature for three days. I'd go back here over the busy lakes anytime.
Clean and exactly as stated. We used the pedal boat to fish from middle of lake and spent hours relaxing on the water. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and all of the wildlife. Bed was comfortable. Stocked with everything we needed, except spices. Recommend to bring your own. Will come again.

Beautiful location
The property is very beautiful. You donât often get to have a lake and a large piece of property to yourself. The trailer is large. I appreciated the double bunk beds for our 4 girls. You are definitely getting what you pay for accommodation wise. It was clean but definitely very old. The dock and water platform were pretty rickety and could use repair. There is no WiFi or TV reception. The grill did not work. There were a few sparse towels available. If you are an outdoorsy person who loves to unplug this is the place for you.
This place was very quiet, relaxing, full of nature, extremely clean lake, and cozy. It was very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels/toiletries, and plenty of extra bedding supplies. The walking trail was great to get back to nature and some clean air. At night, it was great to just hear the sound of crickets, birds, and frogs croaking. This could very easily be a five-star location with just a few improvements. The drive into the location was a little overgrown and some on the hanging branches scratched the top of the truck slightly. Not a huge deal for us as it is a 2004 and has plenty of battle wounds as it is. There were three fly strips that were full and two were in the kitchen area. They must have been doing their job because we didn't see any flies but, it just a little concerning while cooking. The only other issue was the master bedroom A/C was a little loud when kicking on and did wake us up a few times. However, all and all we enjoyed getting away and this is a wonderful place to do it!
This was my 3rd or 4th year staying here. Its tempting to say it's no good to keep people away but my kids had an absolute ball. We caught 10 Northern Pike and massive numbers of bass. Huge in size.If you like catching fish. Stay here. Buy a bigger net.
Loved the high trees entering and the long winding trail. The lake house was cute and very roomy. Loved the privacy and the view was beautiful. The dogs had a great time too. Hated to leave.
