Nestled between apple & cherry orchards, this early-1900s farmhouse combines century-old character with modern day amenities. Outside, youâll find the granary, garden, and gathering spaces. Wander up to the hillcrest and take in views of the lakes, islands, and endless rolling hills. Inside, youâll find a chefâs kitchen, cedar sauna, wood-burning stove and so much more. The same amazing property that has welcomed guests for over a decade â now with a new name. Farmstead is a space to relax, unwind, and reconnect. Draw a bath and daydream in the clawfoot tub, start a fire and stargaze, or cozy up in the library with a book and a cup of coffee. We invite you to enjoy everything the house has to offer. The entire property is yours to enjoy during your stay. Farmstead is centrally located in the heart of Leelanau Peninsula near the charming towns of Northport, Leland, Suttons Bay, Lake Leelanau, Glen Arbor, and Traverse City. We encourage you to get out and explore all of the surrounding beauty including sandy beaches, world-class wineries, scenic hiking trails, and farm-to-table restaurants. You will need a vehicle to access the property. Parking is allowed anywhere on the gravel drive.
we were looking to do a "staycation" up north and are so happy to have discovered this gem! the farmhouse is beautifully designed and you can really tell how much through and care was put into creating this space. the hosts thought of everything! we especially enjoyed the wood stove, sauna, and library. we were so comfortable and cozy it was hard to leave (but you should - delicious farm to table cuisine throughout the peninsula!)
Just magical! Farmstead was the perfect home base to explore the Leelanau peninsula. Northport, Leland, Suttons Bay, and Lake Leelanau were just minutes away. Traverse City + Glen Arbor (i.e. Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes) are only about 30 minutes. The farmhouse is incredibly charming both inside and out. Highly recommend having a picnic on the hill behind the house (stunning views of Lake Michigan and surrounding islands) and the outdoor entertaining area was perfect. Grill, farm table, fire pit, & fairy lights. Such a special spot to spend time with friends and family. It felt like a Pure Michigan commercial it was that beautiful!
Amazing spot for peninsula adventures! I had actually seen this listing on another platform. The hosts had over 2,000 5 star reviews between all of their properties so I felt very confidant in booking the farmhouse!
We did a âsip & skiâ tour through Grand Traverse Bike Tours which was an absolute blast. It was a professionally guided tour thru private vineyards + along the groomed Leelanau Trail (cross country skis/boots/poles incl). Wine tasting + lunch. Then back to Farmstead for a soak in the clawfoot tub (gorgeous view out the back window) and sauna session. Followed by a fire and a hot toddy. Perfect winter weekend!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Farmstead! The house was so well decorated but still inviting and cozy. We used all the amenities including the sauna, large kitchen and even the EV charger for one of our cars outside! The location was perfect for exploring Leelanau Peninsula being so close to Leland, Lake Leelanau and Suttons Bay. We were able to shop at charming stores, eat at amazing restaurants and enjoy some delicious wine at so many nearby places. The owners were super helpful with any questions we had and seem to have thought of everything guests would need during their stay! Weâre planning to make this a yearly (if not more frequent) trip and canât wait to be back at Farmstead again!
