We had a great time staying at the Essex House. We loved our time there. It was such a quiet place, but close enough to walk around the town of Essex. The house had plenty of room for our large family, and our kids often remarked that it felt like we were staying in a mansion!
Great vacation! The loft with beds for the kids is great! Walking distance to grocery and other happy stores is wonderful. Host responded to messages very quickly!
It met our needs perfectly. We appreciated the number of lounge areas. The number of washrooms was also greatly appreciated. The children loved the attic bedroom. We found everything very clean.
Lovely house and property and a most accommodating host. Stayed during a very hot period, and air conditioning in other than the primary bedroom could have been cooler. Otherwise great.
This grand home has it all - space, comfort and character. We enjoyed a weekend in The Essex House while in town for a family function and left knowing we'd be back. Our host, Dean, was wonderful to work with and was available at all times throughout the process. The home was well appointed, clean and extremely comfortable. The linens were spotless and in abundance. What a special time it was to enjoy the character of this home with our grandchildren and extended family. The outdoor garden was lovely to sit in and the neighborhood was quiet and easily walkable to the main street for shopping and dining. We highly recommend this gem when visiting the Essex area.
We loved this property! We were a group of adults and teenagers. There was lots of space to play games, visit, watch movies and cook.
The host thought of everything- lots of towels, soap, Kleenex and necessities for laundry. The outside space was small but lovely and we enjoyed sitting out on the Adirondack chairs.
We had an amazing experience and would definitely visit again!
We are a group of five couples who very much enjoyed The Essex House. The host responded to any questions readily. We found the house well equipped. Beds were comfortable and all amenities were in place. Great rental for a large group.
We highly recommend this house. It was very well equipped and clean. We enjoyed all of our meals in the lovely backyard. It was perfect for our family of 12. ( 8 adults and 4 kids) the bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed Iâve ever slept in! We would return in a heartbeat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. We traveled from the US to visit our family in Canada, and we were not disappointed by the beauty, location, and charm of the home. All communication with the host was excellent. Thank you Dean for sharing your amazing home with us!
Caesar Nano and his family They thank Dean's family.
So for 47 Essex house the house is so beautiful and perfect about the condition so clean and so tidy, I don't see the owner but I talk to hem he is so gentle so good guy we have fun there my wedding in Windsor that time and he congratulated me on my marriage and he say Consider it your home and congratulations to you and your wife thank you Dean and good bless you and your family.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at the Essex house the last weekend of April. The house has lovely architectural features and is very nicely decorated inside and lovely landscaping outside. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed. There are many seating areas inside (sunroom/sitting room, living room, kitchen area, dinning room, basement lounge area with TV) and very nice seating outside, so it was great for our family of 7 and when my parents and sister came to visit. The attic bedroom with 6 single beds was charming, with a Nanny McPhee vibe to it. The house is within walking distance to the main street in Essex so easy to get groceries or walk to local restaurants. Our main reason was to visit my family (I am originally from the area) so we didn't venture away very much, but the Essex House is perfectly located to easily visit sites all around Essex county, from Windsor to Leamington. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions that we had. We will definitely be returning.
