Les points faibles : Communication, emplacement, exactitude de lâannonce
Property is over-represented on VRBO. House is not maintained and was significantly under supplied with cookware and linens. No extra blankets, pillows or towels. 6 of us stayed for 4 nights. A total of 8 towels were provided for 6 women. We got to wash towels every night so we had clean ones for the next day, yet remained smelling of mildew. Large hole cut out of downstairs bathroom ceiling exposing plumbing, and ceiling cracked and bowed over shower. Owners response was that an accident occurred last year with an upstairs bathroom which is why they needed to access the plumbing downstairs. Still not sure why there remains a 4x3 foot hole 9 months after said incident. Mattresses on ALL beds were covered with a plastic sheet typically used for childrenâs beds in bedwetting situations. Owners response was the county requires mattress coverings. Mattress pads, yes. Plastic sheets - NO. Horribly uncomfortable. Iâm honestly not sure how this house passes any said âinspectionsâ or is eligible under VRBO standards. Several other issues identified but not going to continue with complaints. Definitely not worth what we paid and very disappointed.
The house was spacious and the location private and fairly quiet. The host left treats for us and a note with information regarding our stay. Having four bedrooms and three baths was great! Temp of house was cool. It would be nice to have enough matching dishes/glasses for 8. It would also be nice to have a table/chairs where all 8 can gather around. The cookware needs replacing. Some basic upkeep is needed inside/outside, but overall it was fine.
This home in Hudson was easy to get to but yet still in the country. It was close to our familyâs wedding venue in Somerset and also the rehearsal dinner venue in Stillwater. The house had enough space for our familyâs to have some space of their own. We saw deer and even a black bear on the property! Loved being tucked away in nature even though you are still in a large yardâs neighborhood. The hosts were very thoughtful and had fresh muffins upon arrival and coffee supplies. They also allowed us to enter the home early as I had my elderly mother with us who needed her rest before the rehearsal dinner which was very much appreciated! If anyone is traveling with little ones, they were decked out with lots of supplies like a portable crib, high chair, bouncy seat for infants, and even a bassinet for newborns. I would say the only reason that Iâm not rating it a five star is because the home itself was in need of some TLC. The cabinets in the kitchen felt like they were coming off the hinges on some of them, there was a large hole in the bathroom ceiling downstairs, the water dispenser in the refrigerator wasnât working, there was a large stain on the sectional couch, and the towels were really rough (but may have just been due to hard water). Overall, it was the size of the home that we enjoyed with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and the nature and proximity to our events.
The kitchen lacked several items but luckily we came prepared because we knew we were planning on eating together. The towels were a little rough, however they were thick towels. Lots of space in the bedrooms and the bathrooms. The house was nice and clean. Disappointed that it had a fireplace, but a note hung on it saying not to use it. (It was below freezing outside and had snowed.)
We were in contact before the stay and the owner was so very helpful! The property was very clean and larger enough for our group!
There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen that we were able to make all of our meals for the weekend.
The toys supplied for the kiddos were great, giving them plenty to do!
Greeted with muffins and fresh flowers! We had a small girls weekend and there was more than enough room for everyone. Lots of towels and extra blankets. We had reservations in both New Richmond and Hudson, the drive time between both was maybe 10 minutes from the house so VERY convenient location! Would definitely stay here again.
House had ample room for our needs - large table for playing cards and games, open kitchen and living room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Quiet neighborhood. We had a great time!
We had a great weekend at this property!
The host graciously let us come in early!
The home was set up well for our needs! We would have liked to use the fire pit but it was not usable.
We had a great friendâs weekend celebrating a friend whoâs getting married! Great open space for games and hanging out and just close enough to get into Stillwater to explore! The only thing that wouldâve been nice and didnât really impact our experience was having towels out in the bathrooms ready for us to use. We had to search for them initially.
A nice remote location for a fun golf trip for 8. Host communicated well with us, and the updated basement is nice. Good location to some solid golf courses and restaurants in the Hudson and Stillwater area. Good space to play games as well, and the TV was a nice touch to watch just about anything. I would stay there again!
Nice location and clean but the house is very cheaply built
3 of us stayed and the property is clean and well maintained. The house it's self appears to be a few years old and was cheaply built. You can here people in the next room and bathrooms are kind of strange. We would certainly stay again.
We had a lovely time. The house was comfortable and perfect for spending time in the kitchen and visiting with friends.
The only complaint was the kitchen was pretty sparse, having some extra conveniences such as baking sheets, wine glasses, plastic wrap and tin foil would have be really nice. Also the kitchen faucet sprays all over the place which was annoying, but not the end of the world.
Lovely home, muffins, fresh flowers and chocolates on the bed is a nice touch. Lighting in most rooms, especially bedrooms is not bright enough to read bedside.
We had problems getting in but owner was on it within minutes. I would recommend it as a comfortable option for the proximity to Hudson (great downtown area) and Stillwater.
The house was nice, quite country for sure. Location between Hudson, Stillwater and New Richmond gave you many options for shopping and eating. Big backyard fire pit which we would have used for sure if weather was a little nicer since the living room fireplace was NOT to be used. The listing said there was a HOT TUB? we didn't find one.
As a home owner the low effort things that need to be fixed at this property are,
Window treatments in bedrooms and bathroom,
fix the flush valves in upstairs toilets.
The bedroom lighting is not sufficient as nightstand and lamp would be nice. We used our cooler for a night stand.
A shower caddy so you don't have to place your soap and shampoo on the floor when showering. Especially in the master bedrooms small shower.
All small things. Overall the house was nice for our family group of 8 and better than a similarly price hotel.
