We had a joyous and peaceful time! The place is spacious and looks just like the pictures. We had a minor issue with parking however, she was just one phone call away and she fixed it immediately. We called her on Christmas night with the issue and she was so kind and polite even though it was extremely late at night. Great communication skills!
The apartment was spacious and had a lot of home like touches that made it feel comfortable and like home. It is close to the City Museum and city life. Didn't hear much at night and felt very safe with the gates, locks and security in the building
We are frequent VRBO users, we very much enjoyed this stay. The host provided plenty of supplies needed for our stay (toilet paper, paper towel etc). There were also basic spices available in the pantry! The place was adorable, conveniently located, and easy to access. The pool was a huge hit for my kids and provided the much needed relaxation and cooling off needed from the heat!
My brother, my spouse and I had a very pleasant stay. We were surprised that the walls don't go all the way up, and one of the bedrooms doesn't have a door. The apartment was very clean and spacious. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in one of the bathrooms so we took turns using it. PLEASE relabel the lock box for the key, the label seen in the picture is completely faded so it makes finding the right lockbox a challenge, there are many on that fence.
Super cute apartment. Very clean and decorated so cute! Owner was great to deal with, after vrbo didnât send us the code, i called her and she immediately answered and helped us out! Was stocked with everything we needed. Only down side was I booked this unit hoping for use of the pool.. this is COMPLETELY out of her hands, but pool was green and pretty yucky. Only mentioning in case anyone else is booking for the same reason. Definitely would use her again!
The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The master bedroom wall does not go all the way to the ceiling so sound from the kitchen/living room travels. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed and the couch is large enough for one person to sleep on. We brought an extra blanket.
There is one parking spot in a fenced/gated lot and additional street parking. Otherwise it was about a mile and a half walk to get downtown (near Busch Stadium).
There was an outdoor pool but we didnât use it at all. Bring detergent if you want to use the washer/dryer units in the apartment.
Property manager/owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with via text.
Smooth check in process--Building and parking security are excellent and easy to use with cell code access. Literally the *only* downside is not the owner's fault; St. Louis this year approved recreational marijuana use, and all the hallways, lobby, elevators, stairs etc. reek horribly of marijuana smoke. The apartment itself uses a lot of air fresheners (while better than the public spaces odor, is a bit over powering). It is VERY clean and very hip (although not much privacy between bedrooms as the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling). Would definitely stay again-- close to all the fun tourist-y things to do (Arch, Union Station, ballpark, etc.).
The GPS gave us a hard time in finding the place so we drove around a few blocks trying to get our bearings. The neighborhood is old & industrial with buildings that were run down so my husband said, "if this place looks shady, we are staying elsewhere."
We arrived later in the evening on a Friday night & were able to follow the hosts instructions on how to get in easily. There were some people hanging around the outside gate looking to get in and we had to stall a little bit as to not let them sneak into the slow moving parking lot gate so that felt a little weird. There was also garbage laying around the property and a group of kids lined up on lawn chairs hanging out by the very small pool so that could have been from them. The first impression of the neighborhood and the building itself was questionable to be honest but we wanted to see the place itself rather than basing our opinion on the exterior environment.
We made our way inside and located the unit. It was very clean overall, there was one ceiling vent in the bathroom that may have been overlooked but otherwise it was spotless. The unit is unique to anywhere we have ever stayed. There isn't a door on one bedroom and the walls don't go all the way up to the ceilings so there isn't a ton of privacy but the space was used well considering it was renovated from a very old building. Furniture was super comfy and we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend adding a pizza cutter to kitchen. Great job hosts!
The apartment was a really cool setup and very clean. Only had an issue with the WiFi but I travel with a hotspot so wasnât a big deal. Would definitely stay here again
