There's no traffic since the loop only serves 20 homes. The Pittsford cemetery is the southern boundary so there's a nice quiet woody feeling. The Village of Pittsford on the canal is a 15 minute walk.
The location of the house was perfect for us; convenient to the planned family activities and so close to central Pittsford (and the Village Bakery ). The accommodations were wonderful; just the right space for 4 of us to gather and to have some separation. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. It will be a repeat for the next family gathering in Rochester.
We spent a long weekend in Pittsford with family. This house was conveniently located in a quiet, wooded area of Pittsford. We had all the comforts of home, not far from where our family was. Very enjoyable!
Looking to be close to Nazareth University and this location was perfect. Clean and quiet and ample space to unwind. Close to many amenities. Would stay here again
All the comforts of home plus a very beautiful, secluded-feeling property with lots of trees, flowers, and natural vegetation. It was the perfect place to stay with our family. Thanks for your hospitality!
Enjoyed our stay, close to family, shops restaurants. Easy access to highways and downtown Rochester. The village of Pittsford is unique with the Erie Canal going right through it, a Spa, and lots of restaurants for breakfast to dinner. House is close to downtown Pittsford.
The location was perfect, we loved being close to Pittsford and the canal. Our family lives on the other side of Pittsford so we chose this place to be close but to still have our own space, especially having an infant with us.
Our only complaints were that some things could use some updating (the shower head in one of the bathrooms, the beds were very squeaky and the pillows weren't very supportive).
We'd definitely stay here again if things are upgraded a little bit.
Nice small home which suited our needs. Dated furniture as shown in pictures and limited seating but was exactly as described and what I expected. Robb was very easy to work with and responsive to questions.
We stayed at this property for 4 weeks while visiting family in the area. Property was very clean and communication with Robb was easy. New living room furniture had been added which we appreciated. Other furniture was dated, as expected. Location was outstanding, close to the Erie Canal trail and village of Pittsford. Overall we had a nice stay!
Interior was clean, but exterior was creepy (disgusting front porch light was filthy, filled w/spider webs & dead bugs). Deferred maintenance throughout (broken kitchen faucet sprayer..."Just don't use it." Garage door is rotting w/ peeling paint.
Screened porch has no seating & is clearly home to rodents that chewed a hole to get in & poop. One BR was just an office w/ a mattress on the floor. One BR had 2 windows covered w/insulating plastic & 1 broken window. Various locks didn't work. Had to tell owner that state law requires CO & smoke detectors!! He wamnted us to shop for & install them (on vacation?!?). Shouldn't have been listed by Vrbo w/out those!! New furniture was nice, but cheap beer was left in fridge, & expired canned goods were in the pantry. Hard to tell what was intended for guests vs. owner's personal property. His car was in the garage...expired registration.
My son and his girlfriend graduated from RIT. There were 15 of us total who came to the house for a small graduation party, all family of the two graduates. The set up/layout of the home was absolutely perfect for socializing!! My in laws from Connecticut spent Friday night with us but Thursday and Saturday night were just my husband, myself, and our beagle, Maverick. Having doors separating each section of the house was extremely helpful in keeping an eye on the dog! He is still kind of young, so we wanted to be sure he was behaving. He did great and loved looking out the low windows and the front door. Robb was very responsive and I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you Robb!
On this particular trip, my family and I spent two nights at Robb's house in Pittsford, one night in Toronto with a view of the CN Tower, and one night in Fallsview with a view of both the US and Canadian side of Niagara Falls. When I asked my 15 year old son which place he liked the best, he said Robb's house in Pittsford. It is such a well kept and beautiful place, with more than enough room for the five of us to spread out and feel comfortable, while also coming together at night to watch a movie in the den. I would happily re-book in the future!
