Hilltop Home is a gem in Frankfort, MI. It is a loft space with gorgeous views and lots of room. A little bit of style and modern elements. Plus, perfectly located in walking distance to downtown Frankfort to restaurants, shops, and the beach:) The space The space is actually a guest house attached to a garage. It is 1650 square feet so lots of room. It is three different levels with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the top and bottom floors. What makes Big Red so special, is the fact that you can be within walking distance to downtown but the home sits just slightly out of town upon a hill where you get gorgeous views. There isn't a day that goes by when you don't see a bunny or deer snacking on the crab apple tree directly behind the home. It truly is the best of both worlds - convenience with ample amount of room and the feeling of quiet - perfect for relaxation. Guest access Guests are designated one parking spot in the driveway in front of the home. It is conveniently steps to the front door.
Very nice quiet location in Frankfort. We enjoyed watching the deer and bunnies up close. The space was vefy clean and spacious. The owners were very responsive to any questions as well.
We had a very comfortable stay on the Hilltop! The space is very generous and beds comfortable. For us it was a pleasant walk to the beach and around town with a stroller. We liked being able to book by the night and not for a whole week!!
This property has lots of space on three levels and large east-facing windows. The apartment was clean, orderly and ready for use when we arrived. It is very quiet and has one off-street parking space. This is a real advantage during tourist season. It provides a welcome break from the beach crowds and congested parking lots downtown. It is within walking distance of downtown and Betsy Bay. Plan to drive to the Frankfort or Crystal Lake public beaches. We were also able to store our bicycles in the attached garage while we were here.
If you are seeking an accessible property there may be better options. There are multiple levels and stairs here.
The hosts Tim and Katie are experienced and responsive. We have stayed in VRBOs and suite hotels all over the country. We are particular about cleanliness and furnishings and had no concerns here. The garage could use some organizing and a good sweeping, since that is the primary entry path into the apartment. But after a couple of days, it felt like home to us, nonetheless.
Hi! We moved to Frankfort in 2021 after spending 8 years in Nashville where we ran an airbnb. We are both artists and love to travel! We have family all over the country and like to visit them as much as possible. Tim has been to every state but Maine and I've hit most of them too. Together we've been to Mexico, Scotland, Japan, Thailand, France, Germany, and Switzerland. We love design and blending modern style with a comfortable atmosphere.
Katie has spent time in Frankfort every summer since she was born. It was a dream come true to move here full time in 2021. The neighborhood is the perfect blend of older long time residents and new families with young children like us!
We love living walking distance to downtown, but with lots of space and trees and nature all around. The huge picture windows and high ceilings and open loft between the second and top floors let you commune with the trees and skies when sitting down for breakfast or even watching TV.
