Used this location for our startup team's offsite meeting (3 adults). All and all the stay was good. Nice quiet neighborhood. Checking in was a little confusing since the original listing showed pictures of a separate apartment that i thought was included, but it wasnt. So that was a bit wonky. And there were some quarky things for 3 adults - one room had only twin beds. And there is no master. One small full bath off the kitchen, and then a full bath between 2 queen rooms. The neighborhood was cute, several walkable things, doordash and instacart availability. I would say this place is good size for smaller families - but note, the floors are creeky and there are apartments above and below, so if you are sensitive to those sounds, may not be place for you.

Thanks for your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the neighborhood. That said, this unit is clearly designed for families, especially those with teenage kids, not for three unrelated adults expecting separate large-bed rooms. The listing shows the exact layout and sleeping arrangements, including twin beds, a sofa bed, and a futon this setup works very well for families, which is who typically books this space. This is also a 150-year-old Victorian home. Creaky floors and some sound transfer are part of that character, and most guests choose this property specifically because they appreciate that historic Boston feel. Regarding the photos, a few images of the basement apartment are included to show that additional space is available if needed, but it is offered separately at an extra cost. This is stated in the listing, and nothing is hidden. Overall, the home performs exactly as described. It’s simply a matter of choosing the right fit for your group’s needs.

Quaint basement bungalow

It is a very cozy basement apartment with tons of privacy. The only complaint was the lack of a second bathroom that was advertised. It was very clean with charming decorations and the bedrooms were spacious.

Boston Marathon

Great little apartment!! Only thing I didn’t notice disclosed in listing was the sounds from upstairs. Not total shock being as it is in basement, but weekend nights seemed louder. I would suggest little things to have on hand, salt & pepper, and maybe 1 larger microwaveable cooking dish. Overall, recommend!!!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the noise disturbance. Basement apartment is the lowest priced of all units despite it is new and two bedrooms with all modern bells and whistles. But noise insulation is weak and depending upon what kind of people we get upstairs it vary how the sound transmission is . Most vacationers do city tours during day and crash when they get home . So overall we got very seldom any noise complaints but people sensitive to noise must know this . We have disclosed this in listing and also communicated through messages Your suggestion on adding essentials such as salt & pepper, as well as a larger microwaveable cooking dish, is certainly appreciated and we will look into providing these items to improve our guest experience. Our spacious 2-bedroom apartment is the perfect place for families, couples, professionals, and groups of up to 2 people.
The living room is the perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy time with family or friends after a day out exploring the city. We have a flat-screen TV with full cable, Netflix, YouTube, and more!
Our kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances including a refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, tea kettle, french press, and coffee maker. There are also pots, pans, and all the amenities needed to cook.
We also have a washer and dryer located in the kitchen that is available for your use. We provide laundry detergent as well.
Coffee, sugar, and an array of delicious teas are also provided.
There are 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Each bedroom has a comfy queen size bed. Linens and 6 towels and 6 facecloths are provided.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash so no need to bring your own!
We also have a front deck that has a small patio set during the spring and summer months.
During the hot summer months, the bedrooms and living room have air conditioners to keep you cool. The winter months have heat that is controlled by the guests with a thermostat in the apartment.

Travel Tips
Here are some details for travel people. Metro line which is local Boston is little far walking. But is on bus line, Bus no 38(center st @ Hewlett street one min walk),51(Walter st @ Hewlett st 1.5 min walk ), 34, 34 E can get you there in 15 Minutes. Now comes an important info. There is commuter line 5-minute walk from house, which gets you in forest hills in 3 minutes. Only catch is commuter rail has schedule starting 6:30 am - 10 PM every 2 hours train runs. Those who can follow schedule it is the most wonderful way to get to Boston or anywhere, back bay 7 minutes which is hub, you can get orange red and green line connections. If you want to go to logan stop at south station which connects all lines and silver line straight to Logan airport. There is also Peter pan Bus from Copley (7 min on commuter rail from house) which is express service straight to Logan.

**Travelers to Northeastern university – Take commuter rail, get off at Ruggles, walk 3 min
** Travelers to Boston University – Take commuter rail, get off at Copley square walk 3 minutes to green line – 10 minutes you are in Kenmore
** Harvard, MIT , Cambridge , many options , redline or walk over BU bridge a very beautiful scenic route.
