All-new interior home comfort and waterfront living are yours at this renovated, canal-front retreat. Part of the Colington Harbour Community, this inviting escape includes access to a sound-side beach, a picnic area, and a community pool. You can also launch one of the home's four provided kayaks right from the backyard dock to explore the waters around the neighborhood. After your tour, spread out around the large, partially fenced lawn or fire up the private gas grill for a family barbecue on the deck. A gas firepit sets the scene for outdoor entertainment under the stars. Ocean-side beaches, local dining options, and the Wright Brothers National Memorial are four miles away.

From the beds to the decor, the spacious, two-story interior has been completely renovated for modern guest comfort. Stainless steel full kitchens can be found on each floor for ultimate family-style meal planning and flexibility for groups. Family fun and friendly competition await in the downstairs game room complete with foosball, billiards, Ping-Pong, and a smart TV. Upstairs, plush seating and a smart TV are ready for home movie nights. The gorgeous lower-level sunroom boasts breathtaking views of the canal. Each bedroom includes its own smart TV for added convenience. Two downstairs bonus rooms are furnished as additional sleeping options. Home essentials include central air-conditioning, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer.

WOW!!

House was more than expected. Went for Christmas. Loved game room and fire pit.Very clean. Close to all. Would stay there again

OBX STAY

The house had inadequate cooking pots and pans. The Keurig leaked and I notified who I was supposed to but nothing was done. Had to go to the downstairs kitchen to get the other Keurig. The exterior was extremely dirty, it was difficult to see out of the windows from the cob webs and bugs. Would not rent from them again. The downstairs unit was very dark and had a couple water bugs.

The house worked really well for us. The ramp up to the house was perfect for our members that can't climb steps. There were two rooms with king beds on the first floor so they didn't have to climb any steps at all. There is a small walk-in shower in one 1st floor bathroom, and a bathtub in the other. There are no grab bars. The sitting room on the main floor didn't have seating for the 5 of us at once, but we adapted. The neighborhood was nice, the security guards at the entrance to the neighborhood were very friendly, and it was convenient to get to everywhere. We cooked a lot, and having two ovens and fridges was helpful. The top floor had 4 bedrooms and two jack and jill bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a tub. We did track in a little sand from the yard, so a small vacuum cleaner would have been handy for us. (If there was one, we couldnt find it). Overall, it was a great house and we would be very happy to stay there again.

A hidden gem

This house far exceeded our expectations. It is tucked into a very quiet neighborhood which we loved. The community pool is beautiful and was not crowded at all. The locals were all very friendly and helpful during our stay. My grandson loved fishing off the pier and my son and his family really enjoyed using the kayaks. We would definitely items love to visit again!

Comfortable beds and great size house

We truly enjoyed our vacation. It was our first time renting this home in the Outerbanks. It was very accommodating for our family. The beds a super comfort, the temperature in the house was great and the game room was as well. And the community pool was wonderful. Thanks to all.

Amazing house with lots of amenities

We had a great time at this house. The multi level home with 2 kitchens,extra bedrooms and baths was wonderful. It allowed us to have our 2 families in the same house but still be separated when you want privacy. The kids enjoyed the boogie boards and kayaks. It was nice sitting out on the dock and deck. Dock needs a ladder incase anyone wants to swim. Beds and pillows were comfy. The decor in the house is beautiful, so many pretty details. The game tables are fun! Kitchen was great. Having a crockpot was helpful. The knives in the knife block need replaced. It's sooo nice having access to their community pool..the days were hot and the pool felt awesome! Definitely look forward to coming back. Thank you for opening up your beautiful house for family vacations ❤️

Great location

We loved the canal access and kayaks. We saw awesome sunsets at the sound in the neighborhood. The location was close to beaches and restaurants.

Everybody loved it!

The Sandy Eagle

We had a great experience staying at this home in Colington Harbor. The house was extremely clean, you would never be able to tell it was pet friendly. The upstairs deck was perfect to view the canal during the day and the downstairs sunroom was great at night to be away from the bugs. Plenty of rooms and space for two families. We loved it!

Beautiful home away from home

I loved being able to bring my pet. I loved the Pets welcome sign. Loved the 2 livingrooms the young adults had fun downstairs and us oldies had up stairs. The whole house was decorated beautiful!

Comfortable living for a family of 8

We loved Sandy Eagle because of the comfort and space it offered. Our family of 8 was able to spread out and have plenty of personal space in the six bedrooms and yet congregate easily in the main living room and all sit around the table to eat together. We loved the crazy comfortable mattresses (obviously quite new), bluetooth speakers in the bathrooms and enclosed porch with gliders to sit and watch the canal. Having two kitchens (one for each level) was a bonus, it's easy to fill one fridge quickly when you have 8 people. We also had fun with the mini-pool table and the foosball table. Overall the kitchen was pretty well stocked, but if you do "scratch cooking' you should know that while there are plenty of plates, glasses and silverware as well as all the standard small appliances (blender, large, oval slow cooker, toaster, Keurig) there are no mixing bowls or serving pieces. We got creative a few times, not worth giving only 4 stars, but good to know if you are a cook. We go to the Outer Banks frequently and will give Sandy Eagle a look to see if it's available for our next visit.

The Sandy Eagle

We had a great family gathering at the Sandy Eagle. Great home, great location, awesome firepit and great backyatd perfect for my fur grandbaby. Plenty of room so we could spread out without being on top of each other. Highly recommend for friends and family to enjoy time together.

Great stay

Plenty of room to spread out on two levels. The the 2nd level deck is a great place to sit. The gas grill is convenient to kitchen and the gas firepit was nice to have. The kayaks were great for exploring the canal. The property is a little off the beaten path so you need to drive to beach and activities, but the quiet neighborhood was great to come home to. Upper level kitchen has everything you need to cook for a crown. Lower level kitchen was an added bonus.

Fantastic

We loved this home, we had a dog with us and she loved being able to run around the back yard. The space was perfect, we had 5 guests but never felt crowded. The home was easy to get in and out of and it was right next to a convenience store for immediate needs. Most of all, it was CLEAN.

Great location and layout

This Colington Harbor house was in a fantastic location, right on the water with everything in Kill Devil Hills nearby. The house itself has some wear and tear and could use some fixes, but there is plenty of space and the included kayaks, games, and backyard space really added to our stay. We also loved that it was pet-friendly but didn’t have any signs/smells of past pets in the home.
