Unwind in this unique A-Frame in the heart of Boone. Conveniently located a few minutes from downtown & campus, but delivers secluded, woodsy mountain vibes.
Whether your here to enjoy the beautiful High Country, visit App State, go skiing at the nearby resorts, or exploring the outdoors. The A-Frame is calling your name.
Originally built in 1967 this quaint A-Frame has undergone a full renovation. Inspired by a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese design, intertwining functionality with elegance. The space is intended to bring more "hygge" into your life (pronounced "hyoo-guh'). A quality of coziness to bring a feeling of contentment and well-being.
This is a small, quirky home. Its best suited for small groups or romantic getaways. However, can accommodate up to 8 guest. There are 3 levels, with a master queen on the 1st floor, 2 queens on the 2nd floor, and a steep, spiral staircase up to the 3rd floor with 2 twin bedrooms. The 2 twins upstairs are small and best for kids or the single folks in your group.

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed this charming home tucked away in the woods yet still in the heart of Boone. We were comfortable and cozy during our 3-day stay. We really enjoyed the coffee supplies, as well!
Feels like you're away in the mountains, but only minutes from downtown Boone!
We stayed in this cozy a-frame for a week while we helped our son set up his new apartment. It was just the right size for us, with room to spare in the top two single bedrooms which could have fit 2 more people/kids easily.
The place was spotless, quiet, and comfortable. It's a small kitchen, so not meant for cooking large meals, but just right for breakfast/lunch/quick meals. The firepit area outside was a nice bonus and the washer/dryer was great. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting App State or just looking for a central location for the High Country. Close to downtown restaurants and shopping. The owners responded quickly to any communications as well.
We came to Boone for the ASU Football Game and this house was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 dog. The house is less than 3 miles to the stadium and downtown so it is a great location. The house and yard were very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked.
We stayed at this house in 2006-2008 under different ownership and it is hard to believe that it is the same house. The renovations are beautiful.
The current owners responded promptly to messages and were very easy to contact. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
This home is very quaint, and extremely convenient if you are visiting for the college :). The drive to the house is not too high up around dangerous roads which we loved! Kitchen area and bathrooms are very small, so keep that in mind with number of guests. The only thing I felt was misrepresented in the listing were the two bedrooms with single beds - these rooms are EXTREMELY small, only one with A/C. They are at the very top of the house, which gets very stuffy and hot. These two bedrooms share the small bathroom on the second level with the two queen rooms, so you have 4 bedrooms sharing 1 very small bath, which is not ideal. These bedrooms upstairs also have no dresser or space to put your things, and one doesnât even have any type of mirror - not what we expected and caused an issue with our sleeping arrangements. Other than that, everything was fine.
Kyle and I(Margaret) both attended Appalachian State University, where we met. Boone holds a special place in our hearts and we've been dying to have a home here since we left in 2013. Fast forward to 2020 where we convinced Suzanne and Adam (our in-laws) partner with us on a family vacation home! This home has been a labor of love for all of us and you will find custom pieces throughout like the coffee table & railings that Adam built and the original mantle above the fireplace that Kyle refinished. Some of our favorite memories come from traveling at Airbnb's over the years, and we hope to provide you with that same special experience. Enjoy! Margaret, Kyle, Suzanne and Adam
This quaint A-Frame was originally built in 1967 and over the past year, we did a full gut renovation transforming it into the beauty it is today. We tried to think of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Although the location is right in the middle of town, it delivers peaceful, secluded mountain vibes. Our design was inspired by a Scandinavian and Japanese mix. Natural tones and minimalism are intended to bring a sense of clam, cozy and connection to the earth.
