We go to Vermont every November and this property was perfect for us! We utilized the hot tub and fire pit during our stay. The house is nicely stocked with toiletries, blankets, Tupperware and everything you can think of! We brought our puppy and he loved the yard. The property manager quickly responded to inquiries. The house is cozy and a great place to stay.
Stayed in December and had an excellent visit. House had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Main floor is great space for hanging out and cooking. Very easy access to Stowe for hiking and skiing.
Great house for a week of skiing and visiting in Stowe. Plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, large family room downstairs, use of garage came in handy storing the vehicle during the 20â of snow. Kids really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the slopes.
We had a great time with family at this house! We skied and enjoyed the beautiful surrounding area. Quick drive into Stowe town as well. Only thing i would mention is that if you plan on wfh from here, the wifi is not strong enough to support calls.
We would highly recommend the property though!
The house exceeded our groupâs expectations. There was plenty of space and privacy for both families, 4 adults, and 3 kids. We also loved how well-labeled everything was - and how welcoming it was for all guests - human and canine. The location is dreamy - we watched so many tourists pull over for their covered bridge photos. We loved the hot tub, and with the rainy weather, we were extra appreciative of the covered porch. It was a fantastic location and a lovely mountain escape.
This was the perfect house for a family trip. We had plenty of room, the house was clean, and they had everything we needed. The whole house was thoughtfully stocked with supplies and even baby proofed. We were a short drive from downtown Stowe and other area attractions. The only downside was the upstairs toilet was broken which the owner communicated to us before our check-in. The owner was very helpful and communicative. We would love to stay again in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! There was a room set up perfectly for our 1 year old which made traveling such a breeze. Itâs in a great location to all things in and around Stowe. There is a quaint cozy outdoor space for morning coffee. We enjoyed one night by the fire pit roasting hotdogs and making smores, and my baby loved swinging on the playset outside and running around the yard. (The grass was so soft, we all ran around and laid out there in the afternoons, enjoying the fall weather!) Definitely canât wait to rent this place again for another fall family trip to Stowe! My husband, me and my baby really enjoyed this get away! Thank you for being great hosts and giving us a memorable vacation! (Also, we LOVED the coffee and maple syrup that was left as a welcome gift! So sweet!!) Book this place, you wonât regret it! But alsoâŠ. Donât book it too much bc we would like to come back! ;)
This cottage has it all!
We had a baby with us and were worried some essentials would be missing. How wrong were we.
Everything was there. Fully furnished kitchen (like really fully furnished!), bedrooms on each floor, ideal for privacy.
Very quiet space, still pretty close to the village ~10 minutes by car.
Could not ask for better.
Everything was quite easy, from the check in to the check out.
The only thing is that there is little to no phone service, but the internet connection is good and makes up for it.
Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks!
The pictures on the website do not do this place justice. The open concept kitchen with the living room is delightful and has all of the cooking supplies you could possibly need. Modern appliances, and a bonus electric grill âmagic skilletâ for pancakes, bacon, and burgers. The host kindly provided local coffee and maple syrup! We loved the hot tub after long days of skiing, although maybe a winter ice melting heating mat to get us in and out would be great, or an accessible shovel. Bedrooms were spacious, super comfortable mattresses and each had a theme; magical fairytale loft, bird/nature room, well equipped bunk bed room also suitable for young children (although we popped our 16 year old and 14 year old in there). Finally, a comfortable queen bed on the family room floor. Itâs a great place for small kids a & dogs - the owners have thought of everything, including power adapters at each bedside table for both USB and power plugs and loads of towels available. Great water pressure and hot water all the time in bathroom.Location was excellent - well salted and plowed dirt road and 25 minutes to Stow; 15 to Hannaford and Shawâs. Recommend Pietopia for yummy pizza. The two car garage was an unexpected bonus, and it snowed daily. The owners were very good communicators and they were on top of snow removal. If you have small children and or dogs, the owners have thought of everything.! Love The Cottage by Red Bridge! We will return!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home near Stowe, Vermont, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this property was designed to offer the perfect blend of comfort and convenience.
One of the highlights was the kitchen, which was fully equipped, making it a joy to prepare meals. We ate our breakfasts at the kitchen island, and ate our dinners at the dining table for 6. We also used the table for making puzzles and playing family games in the evening.
The bedrooms were perfect for our family. We used the bedrooms with Queen size beds (not the bunk bed). It was nice to be able to have some of our party downstairs with their own bathroom and bedroom, and the rest of us upstairs with our bathroom and sleeping areas. Sometimes my adult daughters watched TV late at night, and I could not hear it at all from my room.
As for amenities, the property had it all. Wi-Fi kept us connected, and there was a state-of-the-art entertainment system with a wide selection of movies and shows to enjoy. The outdoor space was fantastic as well, with a new hot tub. My adult daughters enjoyed the cozy warmth after a hike in the snow.
The location was perfectâjust a short drive from the heart of Stowe, making it easy to explore local restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities like hiking. The host was responsive to our queries (we had two during our stay).
This is a very nice and comfortable home! We only used the two levels, but the third floor loft has a nice little sitting area with a great view. The loft bedroom is very roomy and private. We used the the main floor spacious bedroom with a very comfortable king bed. There is another room across for kids with bunk beds, and a pack and play for infants or toddler. A well stocked kitchen with the essentials for cooking. The only thing missing was a Keurig, but being able to sleep a good amount of adults, the regular coffee pot makes sense to serving a group. The lower level has a nice room with a double bed, which our friends used, and was well rested. The tv is also on this level in a large room. There was a lot of flat space outside to walk our dogs. A nice wraparound porch that has a covered space with a hot tub, which was very nice after a day of hiking and exploring! There was an unexpected play set behind the house, which would have been nice if we had any kids with us, only dogs, which they have a nice set up for them in the house. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to visit this area. The property manager was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had, since this was our first time using this kind of service. This was definitely an A++ experience! Thank you for the hospitality!
We rented this place on the fly because of miscommunication with another property owner. There were only two of us for a place definitely spacious enough for a large family. Three floors provide plenty of space to spread out and relax. The hot tub was a great amenity located on the generous screened in deck. Those who like to watch tv in bed may be disappointed as there is one tv in the bottom floor den. The host was gracious and available. We were very satisfied.
Hi there! This is a note from the homeowner, Kevin. Danielle will be the one taking care of you during your stay.
Me and my family miss our home dearly while we are away for my work. We hope you enjoy the scenery and peaceful setting while making memories with your loved ones.
My work involves administering U.S. government humanitarian assistance in the world's least developed countries. When me and my wife started looking for a place to put down roots and a place to call home when we get a chance to come back to the States, Vermont was at the top of our list. The natural beauty, friendly people, and slow pace of life is just what we need when it's time to rest and recuperate from the demands of living serving overseas.
We love the rural setting with easy access to both Morrisville and Stowe. Whether it's attractions or just running errands, we feel our home is ideally situated. And besides, there aren't too many places where you can sit on your front porch, listen to the water in a nearby brook, and see one of Vermont's iconic covered bridges at the same time!
