My entire group had a lovely time at Liviuâs property. The house was so spacious and was great for a large group. I would absolutely recommend staying here again and would come back if I ever have the chance.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Liviuâs house! The house is amazingâŠ.so much thought and detail went into the construction of this mansion!! We came from NY, CT, MA, MO and NC to attend our youngest daughters wedding. Liviu was very responsive to any questions, and allowed us to check in early/check out late. The thoughtful gifts left for us added a very nice touch! We would love to stay here again!!
The house is beautiful in a nice neighborhood near a small, cute town - and only a short drive to Asheville. House is well equipped and comfortable.
Some house instructions are posted and I would recommend a binder of house instructions with more details about house amenities (eg how to work TVs) and checkout process.
Amazing home. We had a very large party and from the beginning to the end of the process the owner could not have been more helpful and accomodating. this was our first rental on VRBO and we were a little nervous, but the owner did everything he said he would and then some! About the home itself...amazing!, like i said, we had a large party(8 adults and 7 children)it easily accomodated us all. The views are stunning, and the neighborhood that it is in is incredible. They have playgrounds and hiking trails for the kids, it was a never ending adventure. It was also very easy to get to, and a beautiful drive. My family and i would definatley stay here again.
This house was plenty big enough for the 12 adults and 1 toddler! Very private. Lovely stone and tile work. Loved the kitchen and the beds were comfy! Overall we were mostly pleased. It is obvious this has been a rental for a while and could use a little TLC. Nothing major but things like the fire pit had a hole that made it hard for a fire, could use some new pots and pans, and the sectional on the main floor was well used and uncomfortable. The pictures didnât show all the tree growth that blocked the view - but even so it was a lovely spot!
This property is real old and filled with clutter. Some of the trim is falling off the door casings the kitchen is very unorganized. They were only two washcloths in the whole house for eight people. countless lightbulbs that didnât work. Nice house but poorly kit.
We spent a week here with family and cousins ranging 5-15 years old. We had so much room for each family, and so many things to explore at this property. Weâve traveled to Burnsville before but usually end up driving at least an hour for a hike with a view or an activity for the kids but this community has so much to explore, we barely scratched the surface. The kids LOVED the tree house at the park, and we loved the views up there.
The house was gorgeous construction. High ceilings on all floors, huge rooms and plenty of bathrooms. The balconies were fantastic at night to see the stars or have a fire. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed.
There were a couple minor things, like the dishwasher not doing a great job, the no curtains in the bathrooms or bedrooms (the full moon woke me up a few times because of how bright it was!) But overall, a great house in an amazing community for a lot of families to enjoy.
Beautiful location, Incredible Owner, A bit difficult to get to and could use some love.
We picked this house because it is giant and somewhat near Asheville. The owner was incredibly nice. The house itself is by far the weirdest I have ever stayed in and you could only understand by going yourself. It feels like a castle but rather than feeling luxurious, it feels like it's crumbling a bit with no shower curtains, duct tape holding a lot of stuff together and more. While the property is beautiful, beware that while the front gate is only about 40 minutes from Asheville, the drive from the front gate to the house is quite a lot further on some pretty treachrous roads. We were also not aware that only five cars were allowed to park at the house and while it worked out fine for our group dropping two cars off at the security station, it is a bit awkward.
This beautiful and spacious house was perfect for our trip with four extended families. The house is so large that everyone felt like they had their own space and we never heard each othersâ babies crying. The common areas were perfect for cooking together and game nights!
My husband and I have been to Asheville several times and found the roads to the house very comparable if not better than most mountainside cabins. The one thing to be aware of is that the bedrooms do not have curtains. Privacy wasnât an issue because the house is surrounded by trees, but do expect to wake up with the sun if youâre used to blackout curtains at your house. There were lots of large nooks and closets you could use to put a pack and play in if you have infants that need to nap during the day.
The house is so fun. Everyone loved exploring it and itâs perfect for games of hide and go seek and sardines. The balconies are gorgeous. The kitchen is well stocked. Everyone said that we could have stayed in the cabin and had a great time. Be sure to drive up the mountain to Hawks Ledge park to see the two story treehouse! But there is a lot to do in the area! We hiked Rocky Creek Falls and Crabtree Falls. Burnsville has a delicious BBQ place, Pig and Grits. Asheville is about 40 minutes away and we love Farmburger, Tupelo Honey, and French Broad Chocolate Lounge.
The owners were extremely kind and easy to communicate with. We loved everything about this trip and would love to come back! If youâre considering booking this house, do it! It will exceed your expectations!
We had 11 adults and a baby with us, this place was the perfect size. There was room for all of us around the dinner table and we could all hang out in either the large living room or the basement (where there is a second kitchen). We had 4 cars and parking was easily accommodated such that any one of the cars could leave without making someone move. The kitchen had everything we needed and spices for our steaks (cooked on the provided grill). We used one of the THREE jacuzzi tubs and it worked great.
In terms of possible improvements, there were a handful of things that did not work in the house, though nothing that caused an issue. Lights out, battery missing from a fan remote in the room I stayed in (basement room by the library). The natural gas was not hooked up to the fire places either. Wifi was good, though did not penetrate every corner of the house. Verizon and ATT both had very poor service, though you could make calls outside. Some trees grew up to block the views you see in the photos, though you can still see part of the sunset in the distance over the mountains.
Overall this place was great. The neighbors were friendly, the guards at the gate were extremely helpful, the owner was very gracious to let us come early and stay late. The community was full of beautiful homes and great views. There are hiking trails in the community as well.
There is a Walmart about 40 mins from the house, an Ingles about 15 mins. We ate at Pig and Grits which was very good (long wait for Saturday lunch)
Beautiful well maintained home. Spacious rooms and living areas. Weather allowed for full use of the huge outdoor balconies. The property exceeded our expectations. Owner was quick to answer questions as we prepared for arrival of our large family. Highly recommend!!
The property is nice, with a lot of space. The photos of the back of the property are outdated as the views from the 2 decks are obstructed by the trees that have grown up. A bit of a let down because the photos of the sunsets in the listing looked amazing. The elevator was inoperable, which we didn't know until we arrived. There are a few items that should be upgraded, most notably the bath towels. The kitchen is spacious and provides lots of seating for guests. Additional pots, pans, skillets and cooking utensils would be a welcome addition. Overall the property is nice and we all enjoyed our stay. The place just needs a bit of TLC.
Spacious property, clean. Plenty of space for 3 families with kids. 40 min from
Asheville. Nestled in a mountain resort - the surroundings are breathtaking.
Negatives; no wifi in the lower level. Cannot use the club/ facilities. No
Smart TV (bring your own fire stick)
Overall, a great experience- will certainly
stay again
Our family enjoyed this home as it was just as advertised, spacious, and well-equipped. Owner was responsive to our questions, prompt, and provided assistance cheerfully. We recommend this home without reservations!
Gorgeous home with amble space for a large group. The gated community offered several parks and trails. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions.
As other reviewers stated, there are some minor maintenance issues, but nothing that impacted our stay.
We all had a wonderful time, and will happily recommend to others!
Owned by Eagle Nests Homes, a family investment My name is Liviu Marhao and I am the builder and part owner of the house. In 2006 I took a trip to Mountain Air and our family fell in love with the location. We decided that this is the perfect place to build a retreat for our family. I combined my many I years of expertise in building custom homes with advanced technologies with the passion of designing and building this retreat to last for generations. Hundreds of hours were spent in research and 18 months in supervising the project, giving much attention to overall quality, choice of materials, architectural details and the highest level of craftsmanship. This is the place where our family comes together to regroup, relax, spend time away from the hectic life and enjoy nature and each others. We would like you to have the same opportunity, you will not be disappointed!
Breath taking mountain view, secluded and upscale. No humidity and moderate temperatures in the summer, never above 84 F. Fly in and out with your small plane or helicopter. Paved private runway 3000 ft. Down the mountain the town of Bunsville awaits you for shoping and dining. More than dozen streams in close proximity for fly fishing.u
Cleanse your lungs with fresh mountain air. Morning mist comes up the valley as you wake up. You will find yourself surrounded by the beauty of nature while enjoying luxurious accommodations. Take a good breakfast and head to the top of the mountain where miles of trails are waiting to be jdiscovered and explored. Rest and quiet down as you stay at the house and let your creativity fly high (Ask for details)
