Welcome to Bay Cottage! With the beautiful bay beach just steps away and countless coastal activities at your fingertips, you'll want to come back and stay at this 2-bed/2-bath vacation rental!

It features stylish modern interior, a gorgeous fully kitted kitchen and a cozy fire pit, this home has everything you need for your upcoming trip to the Cape May/Wildwoods area.
You can enjoy bay views and sunsets from the front porch before heading to the backyard to grill up some dinner under the stars when you stay at this charming getaway.

This home is privately owned and is cozy and perfect for a family, friends or romantic getaway. Whether it's for a short weekend away from the city, or a longer vacation you're going to find all the amenities you want and expect from a beach house.

Wonderful stay at a cute beach cottage

We loved staying in this adorable bungalow. It was a block from a cozy neighborhood beach. It felt private and we had it to ourselves and our Chihuahua’s. The cottage is newly remodeled and everything we could possibly need was provided. We grilled outside on the propane grill and grill tools were provided. The kitchen was stocked with everything, even coffee, tea, olive oil, and seasonings. There is a full-size washer/dryer too. The layout is nice with the two rooms being the same size. The shower heads were awesome and there were hooks on the back of the bathroom door. Extra blankets and nice hangers are supplied. Alex, the host, made sure to have lots of fun games: Trivia, Scrabble, Avengers Monopoly, and other fun games. The neighborhood is quiet which we liked. It’s near a community center where we found a 5 yoga class, on Thursdays. There is a health club about ten minutes away - North Shore Health Club. It was 20 for a day pass. Groceries and restaurants are close by. Cape May was a few miles down the road. NJ has some excellent Audubon birding locations, along with natural nesting areas and conservation areas. Cape May has a migratory “hawk watch” in spring and fall. The cottage host, Alex, gave us everything we needed in advance If we asked her anything she got back with us right away. She was very communicative and helpful. We would highly recommend Alex and her bungalow!

Adorable Cottage with everything we needed.

The cottage was perfect from the front porch, through the open concept living room, dining room and into the kitchen, then down 2 steps to the 3rd sleeping space/laundry area with doors keeping it unseen then out the back door to the fenced in yard with the fire pit, picnic table and grill area. The fenced in area of the yard was the perfect size for our 2 dogs. The bedrooms were the perfect size. Alex was available by phone when we arrived. We enjoyed our walks on the beach at night with our dogs. We enjoyed the area restaurants and local brewery; also dog friendly. We wish we had book 1 more night!

Enjoyable stay

We had our dog with us. We had no disappointments. It is what is presented in the VRBO listing. It is obvious that during the remodeling there was an attention to detail and thoughtful amenities. We recommend the Bay Cottage.

Clean, comfort and class!

We loved staying here for our seaside vacation! The home is extremely well-kept and clean, with all the amenities you would want for a relaxing vacation. Great Quiet Spot

This was our first time visiting Cape May, so we weren't sure where to stay. Decided to go last minute so our options were also limited. This was a great spot right before the Labor Day holiday away from all the craziness. House was very clean and a great fenced in yard for the dogs. Disappointed in the beach - it was fine for a walk with the dogs, but it was muddy, mucky, and lots of dead horseshoe crabs, so not really a beach to relax on, but that was our fault for not researching this ahead of time!

Girls Getaway Weekend

Bay Cottage is as lovely as it looks! The owner Alex was not only a pleasure to deal with and extremely available for any questions but literally thought of everything and anything his guests could need/want! Relaxing by the fire pit with my dog by my side was one of the highlights for me. Close enough to enjoy all the beaches (including the one at the end of the street) but far enough from the summer hustle and bustle to just relax and unwind. Thank you Alex for sharing this slice of Heaven with me and my girlfriends. We had a wonderful weekend!

Great Cottage!

The house was extremely clean and very modern. All the conveniences you could possibly need were there. It is one block from a bayside beach. I wouldn't go swimming in that water. It's very muddy. But my dog and I took a walk every evening to watch the incredible sunsets. Close enough to Cape May/Stone Harbor/etc to drive there and spend the day, but far enough away to not feel touristy. The owner is very nice and always very responsive with any questions. I rented the house for a week to work remotely and get out of the hustle and bustle of the NYC. It was just what the doctor ordered!

Relaxing weekend gateway!

We had a great time at Bay Cottage- beautiful decor, spacious rooms and extremely clean! The fenced backyard was a plus- We stay at the Villas every summer and this location allowed us to visit all our favorite spots in town, Cape May and Wildwood. Alex-Thank you for sharing Bay Cottage with us- we'll be back.

Vous êtes reçu par Alex

I'm not originally from these parts - born in Rome and lived in London for the majority of my life. I've lived in Montreal and then for six years in and around the Cape May area, which is how I know it and why I wanted to invest in a beautiful place for people to be able to enjoy the area. I've also lived in Philadelphia for three years, but have moved back to the area again.

I use the property often myself. I'm not a faceless property company, this is my one and only rental property so it means a lot to me that you are comfortable and enjoy your time at the shore.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It's very close to Cape May and the Wildwoods, but is much quieter and the evening sunsets are magnificent. It also means there's a little bit of breathing space around the property as the houses in CM itself can be very tightly packed and don't feel like you're ever away from the crowds.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

It's really cozy and fully usable as a real home (I use it all the time in the off season so I make sure it has everything I'd want in my house).
The beds are really comfortable and by only supplying 100% cotton linens they're also a joy to lay in - none of that sweaty feeling you get from some properties with synthetic ones!
Oh and the sunsets over the bay... you really can sit on the front porch with a cocktail, glass of wine or beer (or n/a versions of these if you're me) and watch the sun go down over the Delaware Bay.
