Bluebird Day - Ponderosa Getaway

Welcome to the Ponderosa Getaway!

The ultimate gathering place for family and friends in a quintessential westside location. Located in the Parks neighborhood, this home is tucked in a quiet park like setting with huge Ponderosa trees, many walking paths, and a community pool for you to use during the summer months. 

The living area features an HDTV, a gas fireplace, and large windows that provide plenty of natural light. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar and a large dining room table create the perfect setting for your family vacation.

The master bedroom is located on the main level with a king size bed. The second bedroom with a queen size bed is located upstairs. The second floor has it’s own work space area and a bonus room with a sleeper sofa and HDTV. Linens and blankets are provided for your additional guests. A 2 car garage provides off street parking and storage for your extra gear. The small patio outside gives you outdoor seating and a gas grill for those summer BBQ evenings. If you would like to get out and about and visit Mt Bachelor Ski Resort or the many lakes that Central Oregon has to offer, it is only 30 minute drive. 

Note: *There is a long term tenant in the studio apartment above the garage with a separate entrance.

Mettez vite le cap sur les célèbres Brasserie Deschutes et Regal Old Mill. Vous êtes plutôt mordu de shopping ? Faites-vous plaisir au détour des non moins emblématiques Old Mill District (centre commercial) et Bend Farmers Market. Perfect property for our stay in Bend! Great location for our trips to Mt. Bachelor. Plenty of space, clean and well appointed.

Excellent Home with great property management

This was our second stay at the Bluebird Ponderosa getaway. The property is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals and the living room is cozy with a nice gas fireplace. Parking in the garage is a big plus (especially in the winter when we stayed last year). The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and we enjoyed walks every day. All the Bend and local attractions and activities are minutes away. Finally, the property management folks are great. Check in was so easy. There was a very minor repair needed and they responded immediately. The office gal and maintenance/repair guy were super friendly too. This was another bonus because we have had other past situations where it was difficult to get issues addressed. This is our go-to place in Bend and we highly recommend it.

Great house and location

We loved the two separate bedrooms, each of their own bathrooms and even living rooms. We enjoyed the patio a lot. We spent most of the day sightseeing around the central and northern areas. But so nice to come back to the house to relax and unwind.

The house was spacious and clean, perfectly located for numerous activities and a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Would definitely recommend for a family trip or just a nice getaway!

Fantastic Neighborhood...So So House

We really loved the neighborhood. The community pool, walking paths, and multiple green spaces really set this location apart. The house itself is comfortable, however the quality of the finishes, appliances, and even drywall were not what we expected, especially for this price. I will note specifically that the oven was not functioning correctly and the grill's lighter didn't work. I notified the host about the oven and they offered to send someone out the next day. I said no thank you as we were only using the one time to bake a pizza for dinner. I did not notify them of the grill as I was more or less fed up at that point and we just ate out the rest of the trip. Lastly, I'll note that they did offer a pack 'n play for my daughter, but with a charge. We travel about eight times a year and this is the only home that has ever charged for pack 'n play when they had one available. I suppose my three star review is a direct result of quality vs. price.

Great VRBO

We had a wonderful stay. Perfect location and beautiful neighborhood. Comfy beds and slept 5 easily. Pool was broken during our stay (not the host’s fault!) so that was a bummer but would stay here again. The only “issue” (if you’d even if call it that, but I wanted to mention) was that this home has an attached upstairs apt and the tenant was extremely loud. The master bedroom is right below and we heard everything and were woken every morning before 5am. Other than that (and we know that the host doesn’t have control over that) we’d definitely recommend and stay again.

Graduation weekend

We found the house and location perfect for needs. We were in town for Oregon State graduation and because of the location we were not affected by traffic and road closure of another event happening in town that day. Having a master bedroom on the ground floor was advantage due to ages and mobility of people in our party.

Fabulous house and neighborhood!

The house is absolutely beautiful, very clean, visually appealing and comfy! The location is great for a family with active kids, and we fell in love with the city of Bend!

Great House and Location

The home was very clean, very spacious, and very welcoming. We had a fantastic stay, and it was very easy to contact the property management. No list of chores at checkout, so we were able to feel like we were on vacation the whole time. Highly recommend a stay here.
