Fly Away Cabin: Relax and enjoy the creek views and sounds.

Built in 2021, this cabin is a hidden gem at the base of Jack's Mountain on Penns Creek, a premier trout stream in central Pennsylvania. The cabin is on a stocked section with immediate access to the creek via a set of stairs. Fly Away Cabin is near an Orvis fly shop and has nearby access to snowmobile, four-wheeler and horse trails in a state park about 2 miles uphill from the cabin. 30 minutes from Bucknell University. 35 minutes from Susquehanna University. 1 hour from Penn State. The cabin is quiet, secluded, and away from city lights.

Fishing Weekend in May

Fishing was not the best due to high water but we made the best of it. The cabin was in a nice location and very well maintained. Inside was well kept up and clean. Amenities were as described.

Wonderful!

This property was absolutely fantastic! Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Mike was great to talk to about the property and surrounding areas. I took my husband to fish for his birthday and Mike called to make sure we were ok and to even tell us where the best spots were to fish! I would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed for a few days of fishing on Penns Creek. The cabin was clean and had everything we were looking for. We will definitely stay here again.

Awesome Penns Creek rental

This awesome cabin was an ideal location for 3 days of fishing on Penns Creek. Quiet, clean and comfortable for my some and I. The host was incredibly helpful in booking, answering questions during our stay and flexible with the check out process. Can’t say enough about the place!

Peaceful oasis for weekend getaway

This property was absolutely beautiful. From the craftsmanship of the cabin to all of the outdoor seating areas it was just perfect for a quiet weekend getaway! Wish we would have booked a longer stay!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We stayed at the cabin for the weekend since it was close to our daughters’ softball tournament. The cabin was clean and beautiful and the perfect spot to rest after a long day in the sun. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and relaxing getaway

Beautiful new cabin on a quiet lane. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We loved the outdoor seating areas, even in the rain. We didn’t want to leave. Thanks Ellise and Michael!

Short fishing stay

The cabin was all one could ask for and then plus that. Great atmosphere and pretty good fishing right of the steps in the creek. Communication with property manager was top notch. Highly recommend you to come stay here and relax.

Peace and Quiet

This cabin was so cute and in such a beautiful location! Sitting out on the front porch listening to the creek and birds was so peaceful. The owners were so helpful and communicative. I highly recommend visiting!

Tranquility

Fly Away was awesome! So clean, comfortable, peaceful. Listening to the stream and sitting on the porch with nature doesn’t get any better. Michael was great with communicating as well. I would highly recommend Fly Away to anyone wanting peace and quiet and to just be.

Relaxing!!!

So quiet and serene! The cabin is lovely, the woodwork throughout is gorgeous. Both of us commented, "we could live here". The cabin was well appointed, but to be honest...we spent most of our time outside. Great sitting areas to view Penns creek. fishing, tubing, swimming, wildlife watching... couldn't ask for a more perfect spot! We had a small family picnic at the pavilion on the property. Gas grill and fire pit were used during our stay. We would recommend Fly Away. Relax and Restore!

Just a little R & R

I had an amazing weekend at this cabin! It was rainy most of the time but the deck and rocking chairs made it so relaxing! Listening to the rain and the birds and detoxing from the sounds of the city was exactly what I needed! Cabin had everything I needed plus more! The only real feedback I have is maybe a designated location for a little fire. ( if that's allowed in that area) Beds were comfortable and the shower was great, most places I've stayed the showers don't have great pressure but this one did! The Hosts checked in via message on my 2nd day to make sure everything was great and it was. I will definitely be back! Thanks again for the great stay!! :)

You can sit on the covered front porch in a porch swing and listen to the creek trickle by while sipping your coffee in the mornings. You can take advantage of the downstream stairs to access the private deck above the creek, or the pebbled seating area upstream - no stairs necessary. If you are lucky, you may see the local bald eagles land in the nearby trees. On a rainy day, you can still be outside with both the covered porch and the covered pavilion with a propane fire pit.
