Lovely and quiet spot on a beautiful lake, though we were there during the week in mid-September so I can't say what it is like on a summer weekend, but neighbors seemed very nice. Lots of games and such to entertain the troops, An easy (and under two hour) ride from the Twin Cities. Hosts were very accessible. There is a downstairs bedroom and lots of couches/sleeping opportunities there and on the basement level, but note access to the two upstairs bedrooms is through an eye-catching and really cool set of circular stairs that are not for the faint of heart,

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is spacious and had everything we needed. Our kids spent hours jumping into the water. We highly recommend a stay here!

The home was definitely spacious, but of all the VRBO’s I’ve stayed at, this was the least welcoming. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The spiral staircase was a pain, literally. My sister and I both hit our heads hard on it. You can’t get luggage up the stairs. Dogs won’t climb the stairs if you like having them sleep with you. They seemed dangerous. The great room is inadequate for seating. The kitchen has minimal supplies, pots, fry pans. The lake is very busy. The dock is quite small and old. On the plus side, the swimming was great! The fire pit was fantastic, just know that there is no wood provided. The dining space was great too. Overall, it was just ok. For me personally, I will not book it again. I’ve gotten way more out of other VRBO’s for less money.

Hi Holly, We are sorry to hear you weren't fully satisfied with your stay. We appreciate your feedback and plan to update amenities to make things like bringing firewood more clear. We also would love to make updates and changes to the property when the budget allows. We understand everyone is different and we wont be able to please all, but appreciate you giving us a try. For others reading reviews: We have never had any other complaints about the stairs before, we don't love them either, but they came with the property. We hold a license with the state health department and the home is inspected every three years for complinace, the stairs have not been labled as an issue. As for the pups - we have 2, one will go up them one wont... For kitchen suplies, my motto is "less is more". We keep the kitchen adequately, but not overly, stocked in hopes to easier keep track of expired items and broken or dirty supplies.

We rent a vrbo cabin every year and this one was great. It was spacious just like it was advertised. The outside of property was great and jutted out towards the lake which made it feel like it was your own personal space with lake on 3 sides. They provided plenty of items to use in the kitchen and towels for the bathrooms. The kayak, paddle boat, air hockey and ping pong table kept our kids busy and happy. They also loved being able to walk along the expansive shore line and play in the water. Tvs allowed for hook up to your streaming services with ease. A huge bonus was being able to park our vehicle inside and having a fenced in area for the dogs. The host was quick to respond throughout the booking, check in process and stay. There is a store within 10 minutes (Petrys in Finlayson) that has almost anything you may need or forgot. They have everything from household items, fishing items, groceries, personal items and clothing. It was a great stay and we highly recommend it.

Great location on a good fishing lake. The yard was very big and far enough away from the neighbors to enjoy some private family time. Cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for an amazing vacation. Check in process was a breeze. Live our stay!

If we could give more stars we would. Loved our weekend away here. Beautiful home in a beautiful area. We will be back! Our family/friends weekend turned to goal for an annual getaway. The guys fished, we got to unwind and enjoy the amazing location.

Great location

We stayed for a quick weekend getaway. Communication was quick and answered all our questions. Great lake views, the cabin was clean, spacious, and ready to go! We would like to visit again.

Spacious and beautiful get-a-way!

Wonderful home with TONS of space to accomodate a large family/group. Clean, stocked well, nice ammenities and right on the lake. What more can you ask for?!?. Highly recommend this lovely home for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and capture the quiet of nature.

Yearly Family Vaca

Great location! Being right on the lake with beautful views and fishing off the dock was a bonus!! Perfect for our needs with 6 adults and 2 dogs. Very relaxing! Will definitely revisit. We must also say that if you don't have a boat yourself, we would recommend renting from Waldheim Resort, its less than 5 mins away from this great property.

Spacious stay with great location

We enjoyed our short getaway to this spacious and well-stocked cabin. Allie and Mike were quick to answer our call when we needed help to check in. The view from the deck was great and we love how close the lake was. Cellular connection was spotty for us but we made it work. Thank you for having us!

WOW! What a great property and setup, Great flat lot, beautiful views from the deck and lower indoor bar area. Such a cool place for entertaining and relaxing with family and friends! Michael & Allie were so accommodating, they were also super helpful and flexible with last minute changes! We will be back!

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The home has plenty of space. The kids loved playing air hockey and swimming off the dock. The fenced in area for our dog was a great extra feature too. There are skylights in the 2 bedrooms upstairs to be aware of. This means they stay light a bit later in the evening and light up early in the morning.

Ahhh..up North

Our stay at Camp Big Pine was really special for our family vacation and Birthday celebration. Mike and Allie have done a great job setting up the lake home to be comfortable for the up North experience...fishing, boating, swimming, relaxing and of course, S'mores! The eagles and loons were sharing the lake with us and so beautiful to see and hear. We've been talking about how nice it would be for a winter get-away too. Beauty, peace and quiet in any season. We'd love to come back!

A Slice of Heaven

Loved, loved, loved this place. Super quiet, beautifully laid out, well stocked (except for a wine opener - but Allie/Mike had friends deliver one to me - by boat! Now that's going above and beyond). If you want to go out to dinner, you're going to have to drive a piece, but having the best lot on the lake, and the quiet and solitude makes that an easy tradeoff.

Beautiful lake home

Wonderful property with great amenities and lake access. The yard space was very large, we did not feel crowded with neighbors like other properties nearby looked. The place was stocked with just about anything you may need in the kitchen, peddle boat available to use, 2 docks on the property, games in the basement. We brought some yard games and there was never any issues with there being enough room to play them while others could still have room to do other things. Sleeping in the upstairs room with the skylight was nice waking up to. There were 6 of us plus we brought a dog with us and there was a fenced in dog area, we also brought a very long rope and he was able to be leashed with us when we were sitting out there. We would definitely use this property again! Very beautiful and spacious
