Steps to Sylvan Lake - The Lazy Lake Loft

This special place is close to everything, making it THE BEST spot in Sylvan Lake! You get the real lake life experience.

Situated right in the hub of downtown, only steps away from the lake. All the best spots are walkable in minutes from here. We are right behind the most popular lake spot, restaurants / bars, and shops. Have the convenience of coming and going from home easily, even if you are out all day!

This character cottage will give you a cozy, comfortable, and truly unique stay. Its a home from the 40s that has been completely renovated to new. Its the perfect blend of modern with touches of its original rustic flare.

You have a full kitchen to prepare meals at home. We have a fridge, stove / oven, air fryer, panini press, Keurig coffee machine, and magic bullet blender available for you. Note: no microwave or dishwasher.

The back yard has a deck, barbeque, and fire pit! Get the joys of being right by the lake, but the comfort of being at home in your own space.

You are in the heart of the action, but still in a quiet safe & quiet neighborhood.

You can walk everywhere in minutes, but driving is easy as well. Enjoy parking right by the lake on your driveway. No need to search endlessly for paid parking!

The house is a single floor house with 2 bedrooms on the main floor. The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed.

The upstairs loft space is a half story that overlooks the living room on the main floor. The access is via the locking library ladder and through the exposed beams. Note: It has low ceilings and no railings enclosing the space. Not recommended for people with low mobility or children.

You get the entire property to yourselves! We give our guests space to enjoy their time. We are available for assistance via phone, chat, email.

This property has a doorbell camera and security cameras on the exterior gates for your safety and security.

Refundable security deposit of $250 and rental agreement is required to be completed for all reservations.

It was our pleasure to have you guys❤️ We are glad you liked the place! Our guest experience is the most important to us. I am very sorry to hear you weren't able to find the extra toilet paper. We do have additional supplies available there. The house is set up for a 4 person occupancy. Since you had a group of 7, we would have let you know where you could grab more had we known. Heritage homes definitely have their charm, but can sometimes add limitations. Potentially in the future, we can find a solution to adding a microwave and dishwasher. The property listing does show what is available in the house, but we will look to see where we can clarify that more for guests. Thank you for staying with us! We hope to see you again soon 🙂

Our stay was great, the portable AC unit and fans worked well to keep the space cool even in mid July. Super close to restaurants/bars and the beach, plenty of space for the four of us. Good spot for a few days at the lake. We would stay again if we are in Sylvan.

Close to the beach, clean and did the job perfect for 4 adults Right by shopping and a great place to enjoy family time. No microwave or dishwasher giving more time to bond over doing dishes. Definitely want to come back

Charming home, 5 minute stroll to the beach

Manager was really responsive, house was really cute and appointed with lots of care. Lots of room for 3 adults and a 10 year old. Location was perfect for beaching, walks on the lakefront, and endless places to eat and drink. Will definitely be back :)

Nicely renovated on the inside but the outside needs some serious work. The inside had TONS of spiderwebs, spiders, june bugs (I think they're called). Tons as in, killing 10 per day. They need to do some spider spraying or something. Nice amenities within the house, tidy. Location was great but the street specifically is a little sketchy. Wouldn't stay here again unless there was some upkeep outside/got the bug situation inside under control.

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are happy to hear you liked the location and found the place nicely renovated and tidy!  This area downtown by the lake is known as 'Cottage Country'. It's full of history, heritage homes, and greenery - making this area special. Many guests love the location by the lake and find the neighborhood very safe & quiet.  Our guest experience and cleanliness are our top priorities, so we are very sorry to hear you had anything but an exceptional experience. We take your review very seriously and will be looking to make any improvements where possible.  In the fall, with all the surrounding trees, there are leaves on the ground. It's a bit of the charm at the lake at this time of year. As temperatures start to drop, some leaves around the exterior are left as added benefit to the plants and wildlife. We do maintain the exterior of the property in between stays. That being said, the leaves do continue to fall, so we will look to see where we can schedule more maintenance in (without disturbing our guests ❤️). The house is inspected and cleaned thoroughly for each stay, and we did not locate any cobwebs or insects inside. Sylvan does not have June Bugs at this time of year. The house is really close to the lake and is surrounded by trees, so there is always the possibility that insects can enter the house through open doors, windows, and screens. We would have loved the opportunity to come by while you were here to troubleshoot and provide solutions. Regardless, we take all guest feedback seriously. We have gone ahead and closed the property to have it professionally inspected. We never overlook the opportunity to improve.  We really appreciate you staying with us and for your feedback. We hope to get the chance to host you again in the future 💖🥰

Lazy Loft

Wonderful! This beautiful house is very comfortable and cozy with a short walk to the beach, restaurants and Big Moo! There is a well stocked kitchen, laundry machines and super comfortable bed. We appreciated the full size bottles of good quality shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the shower. The Host is very helpful, a great communicator and very accommodating. We would love to come again when we visit family. Highly recommend.

Great place

Really pleased with everything about our stay. There was 4 adults staying with 1 in the loft and one on the couch and there was just enough room for everyone to be comfortable. Place was clean, nice and stylish inside. Property manager was reasonable and responded quickly when we had a small issue. They took a damage deposit that was returned 2 days after the stay with no issues at all. Of special note they have 2 AC units in the house which was super great having stayed previously in Sylvan lake with out one. Overall very happy with the place and would book again.

Adorable cottage close to beach!

Soooo appreciated it was spotlessly fresh and clean! And free standing air conditioner really did the trick! We were all nice and cool on our first hot evening there! Loved too how amazingly close to beach and restaurants! It was just so adorable! Back yard was lovely also! Had a fun & relaxing evening around the firepit! Oh and the rain shower!! Just fabulous! Loved it!! Can’t say enough good things - will be back next year for sure!! Thank you to amazing host!

Excellent cottage for our stay at Sylvan Lake!!!

This property was perfect for my wife and I. We're empty nesters. Veronica was a gracious host and was very helpful and responsive to our questions. The amenities included were perfect, right down to the extra Keurig coffee pods. The cottage sleeps 6 but, Ideally I think it would be perfect for a couple like us or a young family of four/five. It might get a bit shoulder to shoulder with 6 adults in there. It's also walking(3-5 mins.) distance to Lakeshore Drive and the park and beach. Very convenient!!! Also loved that there is a firepit in the back yard for an evening of hot chocolate and smores if you need it : ). We'll be back next summer for sure!
