This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.
We had a very comfortable stay! I loved the full kitchen and complementary coffee/creamer. The beds were nice & soft & had plenty of pillows. Had two porches to enjoy the views and weather. The cabin was thoughtfully decorated and you could tell took sometime to do. It was very much enjoyed, Thanks for sharing!
Great option for families exploring Hanging Rock and beyond
We stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of the summer with the main plan to visit Hanging Rock and the surrounding area. This cabin was perfect for our family and so convenient for the trip, with one of our favorite spots (Lower Cascades) just 2 minutes away. The house was just enough for our family of four, with great outdoor spaces and a well-stocked kitchen and living area. Itâs so nice to have all those little details covered, with thoughtful placement of spare toiletries, kitchen staples, and books/games/toys. The location of the general store next door was also convenient and we visited it a few times for various things. Definitely recommending to our friends and family!
This is great cabin which is perfectly located for access to the park. The cabin is cozy but had plenty of interior and outdoor space for the 5 of us. It is very well finished and equipped. Would highly recommend it.
Had a great time and the cabin and host were wonderful. Bedrooms were a little smaller than expected but once we figured out where to put things we were good. So blessed to bring our dogs and highly recommend. Would stay there again in heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This is a great cabin. Furniture is very nice, beds are comfy. Very clean and nicely decorated. Perfectly located for hiking Hanging Rock. Convenient little store next door for small things you may have forgotten. Also the cabin is well stocked with thoughtful kitchen and bathroom items. It is pet friendly but near a road and not much space for walking pets. So we took ours to the park a few minutes away. Would stay again.
We got there during the j elene storm. This disaster. I would highly recomment this beautiful cabin and david to anyone who wants to have a beautiful wuier place to enjoy somee time in the hanging trock atea. There are alot of activities in the area although our trip was for a local wedding. Thank you david for making our trip amazing in the mist of a weather disaster. He wont let you down. Thpower was out and no water. David the owner went far ans beyond all expectation i hoked up a generator ans we had lights. He brought us water and fans. He wants apologetic even though he could have done nothing to prent
Fabulous little cabin right outside of the main entrance to Hanging Rock State Park. Best of both worlds - a hot shower and bed and all of the great trails in Hanging Rock. Cabin was clean, comfy, and just what we needed. Thank you for a great long weekend!
We had a great time at this cabin. Our group consisted of me, my husband and our daughters aged three and six. This is a wonderful location - so close to Hanging Rock State Park which has perfect length trails for our girls and we loved the swimming lake too! We so enjoyed the coziness of the cabin after a day of exploring the park. Thank you for everything!!
My husband, dog and myself loved this little cabin near the state park. It was clean and well furnished, the kitchen had many pots/pans and utensils. Itâs right next door to a little general store that has anything you may need. We loved it and hope to be back.
The cabin was cozy and comfortable with thoughtful supplies and earthy decor. Having the general store nearby was convenient, and we loved Hanging Rock State Park. On our second night we saw a deer across the street and heard coyotes howling in the distance which was exciting. We greatly appreciated the hosts welcoming us and our dog.
