Take it easy at this unique and tranquil green retreat. Enjoy a plant filled cozy cottage boasting an open concept 1 bedroom secluded home in the trees. Wake up to hens clucking, goats bleating, and tranquil outdoor space and a sampling of French pastries and sweets made fresh by one of the Owners an accredited executive chef. Enjoy this hobby farms fresh eggs, seasonal produce, and gardens, and over a mile of private walking trails. Kick your feet up, enjoy some peace & quiet and relax by your private firepit. Enjoy more than 14 local wineries within 30 minutes of the cottage or a walk thru the arboretum! A perfect way to rejuvenate your soul.
Private Chef experience for 2 people: Breakfast $60-80. Lunch $90-140. Dinner $150- 225. Menu available upon request

Countless wineries in the vicinity. Located next to historic Turner Farm and Orchard, and The Flower Farm. During the fall months enjoy our pumpkin patch! ***Absolutely no smoking or vaping anywhere on premises.***

Wow! 100/10. A fantastic stay
 Samantha and David are great hosts of this cottage. True farm setting with goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, kittens and a dog. Very comfortable interior, spotless and well decorated. Great pastries upon arrival and surprise fresh baked cinnamon rolls our first morning. We felt welcomed and at home. The Green Cottage Farm is highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Pictures and descriptions on web sites accurately represent the property. The washing machine wasn't operable when we arrived; hosts replaced it with a working one before the end of our stay. So yes, these hosts go out of the way to meet the needs of their guests.

Quiet Relaxation

Quaint, out of the way of the hustle and bustle of city life. Secluded getaway for relaxation inside or outside, and allows for an opportunity of reflection. With the busyness of day to day life, this was exactly what we need after visiting family in the area. And watching the goats was an added plus; they were so cute.exactly what we needed

This was a lovely cottage with lovely owners! I love being allowed to engage the goats. There was a lot of attention to detail in the kitchen in order to allow us to cook. I highly recommend Green Cottage. We will definitely stay here again when we visit family in Kansas!

So relaxing!

I really loved staying at the green cottage farm! It was so much better than staying in a hotel room. I loved that it is just outside of town, and I was able to see the stars at night and eat breakfast outside while watching the sun rise. Every detail inside is so cute and comfy. The homemade baked goods they left were so yummy, and just another sweet touch. The only things to think about if you are considering staying is... 1. Are you someone who is sensitive to fragrances? I am, and the scent inside was very strong. Good scents, but super strong. I was okay with it after unplugging the two things that were putting the scents into the air, but it was still pretty strong. 2. Do you need complete darkness while you sleep? I really like it to be very dark, and they do have blinds in the bedroom, which help. I would have preferred curtains on top of the blinds. Also, there is something they have in the living room area with lights that is not supposed to be adjusted, and light from this can be seen in the bedroom. Everything else was really great, and I would definitely recommend staying there.

Another perfect visit

This is our 5th time staying at Green Cottage and again it was a wonderful experience. The pictures on the website do not do this cute cottage justice. Sparkling clean, beautifully decorated in a country theme. Very quiet on a farm road. The hosts are top notch.

Perfect place to unwind and relax!

This charming cottage is the perfect place to unwind and relax! The inside is super comfortable, with lots of plants and farmhouse decor! The outside includes the most adorable baby goats! On top of that, the hosts are terrific - definitely went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay!! Highly recommend this cottage for a long weekend stay in Kansas!

Absolutely peaceful

The property is clean and quaint. The decor is beautiful and peaceful. There are many plants in the home homemade muffins were a great touch along with farm eggs and pickles. The host were very sweet and helpful and even put rose petals on the bed for Valentine’s Day. It was very cold and we were not there for the farm aspect of the day as we are from a farm ourselves, but truly enjoyed the out-of-the-way location and wonderful amenities.

Perfect Couples Retreat

My husband and I had an awesome time here. Lots of homey ammenities that provided a cozy, quiet time to unwind and reconnect. Super close to Olathe, but with a rural atmosphere. The host left us delicious homemade muffins and lots of coffee options to choose from. There was even the cutest little goat who was super friendly and welcomed chin scratches. We would absolutely book this cottage again.

I am an Air Force fire chief that loves family, food, and our animals! My wife has been a well known credited chef for years and has finally slowed down to play here at our hobby farm. Every year the flowers and garden gets better and having a French chef on the property is a huge perk! Not so much for my midline

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose this local for its privacy and closeness to the KC metro area. You can easily get to any KC metro event within 35-40 minutes. With so many wineries and restaurants within a 30 minutes drive and an outstanding golf course Sycamore Ridge just down the road, what more could you ask for. My wife and I are members of the Arboretum and go frequently to enjoy their gardens and events or take the dog an a brisk walk on the many trails.

This property is very peaceful and quiet. We give the option of complete privacy or welcome wandering guests around the kitchen garden or helping with animals.
