Au Sable River and Mason Chapel and Downtown Roscommon 10 mins, where you can fish, canoeing and kayaking Higgins Lake15 mins, Saint Helen about 20 mins. Great central place to get away from everything from downstate.
The location was perfect for trail riding. The cabin was very spacious and clean. Close to Roscommon if there is a need for anything. The host was fast to answer any questions I had and very helpful. Would recommend this place.
The house served our needs with a large group but I would not stay there again. We were shocked when we saw a for sale sign as we pulled into the drive. Thankfully they didn't sell before our reservation date. Communication was extremely difficult without wifi and the only cell service that worked was Verizon (which we have but it was spotty at best). The refrigerator was old and was struggling to keep up with staying cold as temperatures were in the 90's all week and no air conditioning. When we contacted owner about the frig we were told by them that whey didn't believe us. They said they could bring us coolers and ice or we could find a different location to stay. We had a total of 9 people staying here from, as far as Colorado, the very next day. We could not find ANYTHING in the general area that could accommodate us all. That is why I made this reservation in the beginning of the year. We opted for the coolers and ice but made sure to inform the owner we had 250 in groceries in the frig. We received 2 Styrofoam coolers and 2 small bags of ice to keep our food cold for the whole weekend. So we froze water bottles and dishes filled with water to help keep all our food cold. When we first walked into the house it had a weird odor. We bought 2 cans of Febreze to help but the smell still lingered. There is an upper deck but I would proceed with extreme caution because it sways if you are on it.
Over-all a nice, secluded place to stay with lots of trails right off the back yard. Our children enjoyed the spacious yard! Would consider staying again.
Perfect for a girls weekend. There were 8 of us that came together from all over Michigan, Canada and Ohio to spend a weekend celebrating and floating down the Ausable. Having all the rooms upstairs was like being at camp with a huge living room for us all to come together. It was perfect. The wrap around porch and grill were heavily utilized. I would 100% recommend this property for family and friend gatherings.
Spacious with plenty of room to sleep! House definitely could use some repairs, maintenance and up-keep. It was clean. They advertise A/C but itâs literally one portable A/C unit in one single bedroom, so if you stay in the dead of summer like we did, you will sweat! They advertise WIFI but that is false as well. There was no WIFI and the cellular reception is spotty at best. No cable so local digital channels are all you will get. Tried to reach out to our host with the phone number provided as well as through the Vrbo app and never once got a response our entire week trip. It served its purpose for the week but definitely does not hold up to their advertisement of the property.
excellent place stay every time weâre in town Vrbo needs to fix the accuracy of Internet there is no Internet Internet was shut down in June owner let Verbo know, but still shows Internet available
Friends and us wanted a quiet weekend of enjoying the outdoors and hanging out.
The property was gorgeous. The house was well kept and maintained. Host was very responsive with communication but also left us to do our own thing.
We enjoyed the large outdoor space for some fun activities, and enjoyed the spacious indoor space for lounging and playing games.
Would visit again and would recommend to others.
We brought our family up for the July 4th weekend for some time away but had to have internet access as we both are able to work remotely. I am a FNP and he is an engineer and we chose the location due to the listing stating it had internet access. We had absolutely no signal or access to the internet the entire time we stayed. We contacted the owner multiple times and thought she had a speedy response, we were unable to resolve the issue costing us both 2 days of loss wages.
Very frustrating.
The home is nice but one room has 3 beds and the only single room is in front of that room and you have to walk through that bedroom to get to the other bedrooms which is very awkward.
Had a job in the area for the week. The house was perfect for what we needed. Very close to the job site since there are not many options in the area it was great. We appreciated the opportunity to stay here.
We were very pleased with how clean this cabin was and how quickly and sweet the host Wendy responded. All bedrooms are upstairs so it might be rough a bit for some who need to frequently use the bathroom. All the beds and pillows are very clean and comfortable. Lots of space to pull in truck trailer with ATV or side by side. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area which has a fantastic zoo down the street.
The location was perfect for us to get to and from the trails. There was plenty of room to park all three trucks, each with a trailer and all three UTVâs. There were plenty of beds to choose from and the house had everything we needed during our stay.
The house is centrally located for lots of outdoor activities and offers enough space if you are just looking for a place to relax. There is plenty of room and offers a nice mix of peace and quiet with other amenities just a short drive away.
