Laura was great to work with and answered all my questions and provided information in a timely manner. The place was great and pictures are online are perfect!!
Check in was easy. Kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked. Plenty of clean, fresh bed linens and pillows. We have stayed in a few vbros in Florida and this one has the nicest linens, best stocked kitchen, etc of any of them. Kudos to the manager and house cleaner.
We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay! It was super easy to find with the directions provided. The place was incredibly clean and so cozy! We would absolutely love to stay here again!
Husband and I were looking to get away for a weekend to disconnect and this place was perfect for us and and our doggo! The one fault I would say is there wasnât a really grassy spot outside for a potty break for the dog but once he was used to it, he was fine! The place was clean, quiet, and everything was wonderful! Thank you!
The harmony of the cicadas added to the cabins location. It was also exciting to watch the new bridge being built down over the valley. heck of a holler!!! Besides being at Cumberland Lake, it is also close to dale hollow state park and Mike's Landing Restaurant on Sulphur Creek Marina. The Trout hatchery was also a great place to visit as we watched the biologist trap mid-size trout in a trough, net and weigh and then place in a truck to relocate to help the trout grow as they had reached their size capacity in their current trough. Great getaway!!!
My family of 4 (2 boys - 13 & 8) & our dog enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room to park our boat, & we were within a 15 minute drive to multiple boat launches on Lake Cumberland. The cabin itself was very clean with many modern updates & personal touches. We travel a lot, & it isnât very often that a place has things like band-aids or cooking spray. The host was very communicative, however we didnât need to contact her for anything beyond the initial welcome communication, as everything went perfectly. There is some construction in the area, but it didnât disturb us at all. We slept great. The beds were super comfy. We also enjoyed the variety of board games, & the ambience on the porch swing. All in all it was an excellent experience, & we will be definitely be back when visiting the area.
Our family loved our weekend getaway in this cabin. It felt remote and private yet still conveniently near Lake Cumberland State Park. The interior was clean and updated and plenty of essential supplies were available. The exterior had a large wrap-around porch with lots of seating. We will definitely return!
Property is as described. Was perfect location for visiting the dam and the hatchery. About 15 minutes from a store, so shop ahead. Communication with host was very little, but when we got there, there was a note that had a local number to call/text. We lost power during a brief night storm and that individual was quick to reply and so friendly - even checked on us twice! I think they are blasting a road in the mountain just below the home, so its a little noisy and is cutting out some of the view. But once in a lifetime chance of hearing dynamite, which was really neat and memorable. It is not fancy, more homey, but very comfortable. It is a stand up shower (no bath), and no dishwasher - both details i missed, but still a good stay.
Absolutely beautiful. Will stay again. This host is superb. On the day of checkout a terrible stom came through. She let us stay until it was safe to travel. Thank you again so much.
After visiting Lake Cumberland in 2021, I fell in the love with the area and wanted to give others the opportunity to experience the same feeling. I purchased my first Kentucky home last summer and now I want to share it with you!
The area offers excellent boating, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and hunting for every type of outdoor enthusiast. Or escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life and just relax with your favorite beverage on the back porch. Bring your family and friends or come alone, either way, this home gives you the privacy and flexibility to enjoy your stay your way!
