clean and comfortable, superior location. Plenty of Chairs, beach toys, umbrellas etc. to make the
This is an older Beach Cottage with charm and Character. The location is excellent and right on the beach with great intercoastal views. Owner is super responsive and I would come back.
We enjoyed the location, size and beach view. The place was clean although it does show its age. We really like be able to leave the windows open at night. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
Curtis was so very helpful with getting us in at the last minute. The house is exactly as you can imagine. It is a 1925 house that is directly on the ocean. So with a 1925 house that was converted into 6 seperate apartments, you get a nastalgic feel from the flooring, structure, fixtures, etc. It is a true "beach house" in every sense.
The apartment was clean even though it shows signs of wear, which we were totally ok with. Old does not mean dirty.
The beds are comfortable with nice linens, the kitchen is well stocked, and there were beach towels (6). lots of beach chairs, toys, floatys, and unbrellas for all even if all the apartments were full.
The outdoor seating was huge (the furniture was comfortable and very sturdy) with plenty of seperate areas to sit or relax under an umbrella or even lay in a lounger to catch the sun without feeling like you were sitting with other tenants.
The beach is directly out the front door and it was very clean with beautiful white sand.
we loved the idea that this isnt a huge condo, owned by "who knows", instead this is a family that "loves" their house enough to share with others.
We would definately return to this location. Thank you Curtis and family for opeing your family owned business for people like us to get away too. There is something to be said about "Family Owned". Its getting lost amongst all the 10 story condos. We hope this home survives with many years to come.
I grew up here living with my grandparents. They bought Sun N Fun for $28,000 in 1968, My wife Kathy and I bought it from them for $335,000 in 1998 so they could retire. As Tampa grew the rich and famous have discovered our unique Gulf to Bay location on the island. Sending property values soaring and with that a $43,000 property tax bill. Stay here and know you are helping to save these treasures from Old Florida.
Boyhood home. Good memories of sun, sand, and surf. Indian Rocks Beach is a small seaside community with good restaurants, vacation rentals from the 1920's and a vibe that brings you back year after year.
Florida Gulf Coast beachfront rentals at Grandmaâs island beach house from the summer of 1925. The large home and carriage house are now converted into 6 Gulf front villas featuring full kitchens, pillow top beds, and fantastic views. Awarded one of the highest scores on the beach by Superior Small Lodging. Kids love an old place surrounded by water. We are small and personable. Gulf of Mexico and private white sand beach are right out your door. Wade out to the shallow sandbar to explore for shells and sand dollars. Or walk across the street to watch the yachts go by and fish in the bay. Old Timers call this part of the island "The Narrows" where the sand is just wide enough for a single row of homes.
