à propos de cet hébergement
The Brickhouse in Nauvoo Sleeps 18!
We have three levels to spread out in with 5 bedrooms &
6 bathrooms to accommodate 18+. Main floor sitting area with 2 couches, TV & seating for all in open dining room with vaulted ceiling. A spacious, well equipped kitchen w/ new quartz countertops. The loft sitting area and writing desk are at the top of the stairs.
The open basement room has plenty of space to sit, visit, read or play games. An air hockey table, kiddie corner with toy closet, full bathroom and guest laundry room. The loveseat can be pulled out as well, providing one more sleeping space (bedding in 2nd basement closet).
Parking is in front of the house, 3-4 spaces, please do not park on the grass or street. No street parking on Iowa St.
Our backyard has wonderful afternoon shade & great for relaxing. We have a small charcoal grill in back. Some lawn chairs and games are in the basement closet.
There is a good sized private pavilion in the back behind our Brickhouse that can be rented for group gatherings. If you are interested, let me know and I can give you information.
An indoor swimming is available one block away at the Inn at Old Nauvoo (formerly Nauvoo Inn & Suites) from 7am-10pm. Day passes are $7 per person. I can get reduced individual or group passes for you. If interested let me just let me know.
Out and around Nauvoo:
You are less than a mile from the Nauvoo LDS Temple where you can enjoy the incredible sunsets over the Mississippi River. The Family Search Center is directly north across the street from the Temple. A great place to learn about your family tree, learn about those who have lived in Nauvoo or do some serious research with great helpers to assist you.
Be sure to visit the Historic Village, with free tours, wagon rides & entertainment. All the info needed is at the Historic Nauvoo Visitors Center as well as a cut-away model of the Nauvoo Temple.
Our quaint downtown has shops, art galleries, museums & local eateries. No groceries stores in Nauvoo, but we do have a very well equipped & stocked Dollar General, just no fresh produce.
For major groceries you can go north to Fort Madison or south to Keokuk, both on the Iowa side of the Mississippi. There is a Walmart in Keokuk, Iowa on the far side of town.
One of our favorite things to do is walk or bike the Riverwalk trail with interpretative signs about the river & wildlife. You will see amazing birdlife & views along the river, even some local fairy houses. The are several bike & recreational vehicle rentals available.
We live in Nauvoo and please don't hesitate to contact me for any needs or questions. So happy to have you stay!
Enjoy your time in Historic Nauvoo, it is waiting for you!
