Your hosts at this Granary Stay are Ria and Joseph.
The couple along with their two children have spent more than two decades living outside India. They traveled extensively during this period visiting new places, meeting new people and having new experiences that enriched their lives as a family and as individuals. Now, after several years of living outside of India, they have come back home to a new and different life in rural Kerala, slower in its pace but richer in its variety and deeper in its quality. Here they co-create a lifestyle that matches the rhythms and dynamics of Kulukkapara , a small agricultural community located in the Palakkad district of Kerala.

This imposing house, built more than 150 years ago, was the grand residence of a wealthy clan member of the Gounder community of Kulukkappara. They first came to settle in these parts more than two centuries ago as feudatories under the royal house of Kollengode.

Passionately driven by their love for and understanding of great food, the hosts explore local ingredients and traditions to serve up imaginative, tasty and nourishing fare. They are fond of exploring and value the significance of fresh natural ingredients in providing exceptional tastes and flavors. For them food serves as a platform to conduct many a culinary adventure born out of curiosity, experiment and art.
Their menu will offer preparations made from locally sourced ingredients obtained from their own farm as well as those from the region. Additionally, Suganthi and Saravanan -the caretakers of Nirvriti and exceptional chefs in their own right - will serve various regional favourites that is their specialty.
